< Philipi 2 >
1 Christ sung ah thapiakna, itna i henepna, Thaa i ki pawlkhopna, note sung ah hesuakna te khatpo a omle,
If, then, any encouragement comes through union with Christ, if there is any persuasive power in love, if there is any communion with the Spirit, if there is any tenderness or pity,
2 Note in thinsung le itna a kibang nei in, thu kisi in om vun a, ka lungdamna hong kicingsak tavun.
I entreat you to make my happiness complete – live together animated by the same spirit and in mutual love, one in heart, animated by one Spirit.
3 Ki enna, a hibale, phattuamna om ngawl ki phatsakna taw bangma vawt heak vun; ahihang thinsung ki niamkhiatna taw mi khatsim in ngualdang te sia amate sang a phazaw in ngaisun tahen.
Nothing should be done out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility lift others up above yourselves,
4 Mi khatsim in ama atu bek en ngawl in, ngualdang atu zong en tahen.
considering not only your own interests but also the interests of others.
5 Christ Jesus i thinsung bang note sung ah zong om tahen:
Let the spirit of Christ Jesus be yours also.
6 Christ in Pathian pianzia nei hi, ahihang Pathian taw a ki kim tu in suam tu ngaisun ngawl hi:
Though the divine nature was his from the beginning, yet he did not look on equality with God as above all things to be clung to,
7 Ahihang Ama le Ama minthanna nei ngawl in kivawt hi, taciang sila pianzia la a, mihing bang in hong piang hi:
but impoverished himself by taking the nature of a servant and becoming like one of us;
8 Mihing bang in hong om a, ama le ama ki niamkhiak in, thinglamte tung dong ah hong thi hi.
he appeared among us as a man, and still further humbled himself by submitting even to death – to death on a cross!
9 Tua ahikom Pathian in a sang mama in lamsang hi, taciang Ama sia min theampo sung pan a sangbel min pia hi:
And that is why God raised him to the very highest place, and gave him the name which stands above all other names,
10 Tabang in vantung a om te ahizong, leitung a om te ahizong, lei nuai a om te ahizong, tua Jesus min sia khup theampo khupdin tu uh a;
so that in adoration of the name of Jesus every knee should bend, in heaven, on earth, and under the earth,
11 Taciang in Jesus Christ sia Topa hi, ci in Pa Pathian minthanna tu in leii theampo in pualak tu hi.
and that every tongue should acknowledge JESUS CHRIST as LORD – to the glory of God the Father.
12 Tua ahikom ka it te awng, note tatsat ngawl in thu na nit uh bangma in, keima ka om ciang bek hi ngawl in, tu in ka om ngawl ciang zong thu ni seseam in, na nei uh ngupna sia lau le liing kawm in zomsuak tavun.
Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always been obedient in the past, so now work out your own salvation with anxious care, not only when I am with you, but all the more now that I am absent.
13 Banghangziam cile ama lungkimna pha sia na sepnop natu uh le na sep thei natu uh in note sung ah na a seam sia Pathian a hihi.
Remember it is God who, in his kindness, is at work within you, enabling you both to will and to work.
14 Na theampo sia phun ngawl le ki nial ngawl in seam tavun:
In all that you do, avoid murmuring and dissension,
15 Tabang in tote sia paubang ngawl le lau ngawl, ki tei kul ngawl Pathian tate na hi tu uh a, thimthel le lampial minam te sung leitung ah khuavak bang in na taang tu uh hi;
so as to prove yourselves blameless and innocent – faultless children of God, in the midst of an evil-disposed and perverse generation, in which you are seen shining like stars in a dark world,
16 Nuntakna thu kiptak in len vun; tabang in mannung ngawl in tai le mannung ngawl in naseam ka hi batu a, Christ ni ciang in ka ki suangtak thei tu hi.
offering to them the message of life; and then I will be able at the day of Christ to boast that I did not run my course for nothing, or toil for nothing.
17 Taciang na upna atu in biakpiakna le piakna sung ah a ki pia tu ka hile, ka lungdam hi, taciang note theampo taw ka lungdam khawm tu hi.
And yet, even if, when your faith is offered as a sacrifice to God, my lifeblood must be poured out in addition, still I will rejoice and share the joy of you all;
18 Tasia bangma in note zong na lung uh dam hi, taciang keima taw lungdam ta vun.
and you must also rejoice and share my joy.
19 Ahihang Topa Jesus muanna taw a hai ngawl in Timothy sia note kung ah kong paisak tu hi, tabang in note i dinmun ka heak ciang in keima zong ka angtang tu hi.
I hope, however, as one who trusts in the Lord Jesus, to send Timothy to you before long, so that I may myself be cheered by receiving news of you.
20 Banghangziam cile keima thinsung bang in note i na dinmun uh hong deisak kuama a om bua hi.
For I have no one but him to send – no one of kindred spirit who would take the same genuine interest in your welfare.
21 Banghangziam cile mi theampo in Jesus Christ taw kisai te zong ngawl in, amate taw kisai teng bek zong uh hi.
They are all pursuing their own aims and not those of Christ Jesus.
22 Ahihang Timothy sia tapa le pa bang in lungdamna thupha taw Pathian na seam hi, ci in tetti hong lakna na he uh hi.
But you know what Timothy has proved himself to be, and how, like a child working for his father, he worked hard with me in spreading the good news.
23 Tua ahikom keima pai zia tu ka heakpo ciang in, ama hongpaisak pai tu in lametna ka nei hi.
It is Timothy, then, whom I hope to send, just as soon as I find out what is going to happen to me here.
24 Ahihang Topa muang in keima mama zong a hai ngawl in kongpai tu hi.
And I am confident, as one who trusts in the Lord Jesus, that before long I myself will follow.
25 Taciang ka suapui pa le ka nasep pui, ka ngalkap seppui, ahizong note atu thupuak le ka kisapna sung ah hong khoi Epaphroditus sia note kung ah kongpaisak kul tu hi, ci ka ngaisun hi.
Still I think it necessary to send Epaphroditus to you now, for he is my dear friend, fellow worker, and fellow soldier, and he was also your messenger to help me in my need.
26 Banghangziam cile ama in note theampo hong phawk hi, taciang ama sia thinngimna taw kidim hi, banghangziam cile ama sia a cina hi, ci na za zo uh hi.
For he has been longing to see you all, and has been distressed because you heard of his illness.
27 Banghangziam cile ama thidektak in a cina hi: ahihang Pathian in a tung ah hesuakna nei hi; ama tung bek hi ngawl in, keima i khuangaina tung ah a dang khuangaina ka nei thua ngawl natu in, keima tung zong hesuakna hong nei hi.
And I can assure you that his illness very nearly proved fatal. But God had pity on him, and not on him only but also on me, so that I might not have sorrow on sorrow.
28 Tua ahikom deisakna tak taw note kung ah hongpaisak khi hi, tabang in ama na mu kik uh ciang in, note na lung uh dam tu a, keima zong ka khuangaina pan ka suakta tu hi.
I am all the more ready, therefore, to send him, so that the sight of him may revive your spirits and my own sorrow be lightened.
29 Tua ahikom Topa sung ah ama sia angtan na theampo taw na sang vun; taciang tabang te upat in na pok tavun:
Give him, then, the heartiest of Christian welcomes, and hold such people in great honour.
30 Banghangziam cile keima nong khoi tu uh a kisam lai te kicingsak tu in, a nuntakna zong haza ngawl a, Christ atu a nasepna hu in ama thi dektak liang hi.
For it was owing to his devotion to the Master’s work that he was at the point of death, having risked his own life in the effort to supply what was wanting in the help that you sent me.
