a leper came, who, presenting himself before him, said, Sir, if you will, you can cleanse me.
3 Jesus in a khut zan in, tham a, Ka uk hi, thiang tan, ci hi.
Jesus stretched out his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be you clean. Immediately he was cured of his leprosy.

Then Jesus said to him, See you tell no person; but go, show yourself to the priest, and make the oblation prescribed by Moses, for notifying the cure to the people.
5 Jesus Capernaum khua sung a tum ciang in, zakhat uk ngalkapmang khat a kung ah hongpai in, hesuak ngen hi,
Having entered Capernaum, a centurion accosted him with this request,
6 Topa awng, ka naseampa langngaw nat na in inn ah lum a, ngim mama hi, ci hi.
Sir, my man-servant lies sick at home, exceedingly afflicted with a palsy.

Jesus answered, I will go and cure him.
8 Tua ngalkap mangpa in, Topa, nangma vateak ka inn sung dong nong pai tu ki phu ngawl khi hi: ahizong kamkhat bek son po le te, ka naseampa dam lel tu hi.
The centurion replying, said, Sir, I am not worthy, that you should come under my roof; only say the word, and my servant will be healed.

For even I, who am under command myself, having soldiers under me, say to one, Go, and he goes; to another, Come, and he comes; and to my servant, Do this, and he does it.
10 Jesus in hi thu a zak ciang, lamdangsa in, a nungzui te kung ah, A tatak in ka ci ciang, Israel te sung nangawn ah hibangza a lian upna mu ngeingawl lai khi hi.
Jesus hearing this, was astonished, and said to those who followed, Indeed, I say to you, not even in Israel have I found so great faith.

But I assure you, that many will come from the east and from the west, and will be placed at table with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven,
12 Ahihang kumpingam sung ah omte sia kaana le ha ngoaina om na mun, doipua khuazing sung ah khia tu hi.
while the sons of the kingdom shall be thrust out into outer darkness, where will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Then Jesus said to the centurion, Go home; be it to you, according to your faith. That instant his servant was cured.
14 Jesus Peter innsung a tum laitak in, Peter zi i nu sia cisa natna taw dam ngawl in mu hi.
Then Jesus having entered Peter's house, saw his wife's mother lying sick of a fever,
15 Jesus in a khut pan tham in, a cisa dam hi: taciang tho in, amate leangna do hi.
and having touched her hand, the fever left her; on which she arose and entertained him.

17 Hi thu sia, Ama vateak ma in i thaneamna le i natna theampo hong laksak siat hi, ci in kamsang Isaiah sonkhol thu a tangtun na a hihi.
thus verifying the saying of the Prophet Isaiah, "He has himself carried off our infirmities, and borne our distresses."
18 Jesus in a kim a om mihon tampi te a mu ciang in, ngalkhat ah pai tu in thupia hi.
Jesus seeing himself crowded on all sides, gave orders to pass to the opposite shore.

Jesus answered, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have places of shelter, but the Son of Man has not where to repose his head.
21 A nungzui dang khat in, Topa awng, pai in ka pa hong vuisak masa tan, ci hi.
Another, one of his disciples, said to him, Master, permit me to go first, and bury my father.
22 Ahihang Jesus in, Hong zui tan, mithi te in amate i mithi te vui tahen, ci hi.
Jesus answered, Follow me, and let the dead bury their dead.

Soon after there arose in the sea so great a tempest, that the bark was covered with billows. But he being asleep,

the disciples came and waked him, saying, Save us, Master, we perish.
26 Jesus in, Banghang in lau nu ziam, upna no te awng? ci hi. Tua zawkciang Jesus tho in, hui le tuipi thupia hi; taciang thim khipkhep hi.
He answered, Why are you so timorous, O you distrustful? Then he arose, and having commanded the winds and the sea, a great calm ensued;
27 Lamdang sa mama uh a, hi sia pa sia bangbang mihing hi tu ziam, hui le tuipi te nangawn in a thu ngai hi, ci hi.
insomuch that every one exclaimed with admiration, What personage is this, whom even the winds and the sea obey.
28 Jesus ngalkhat Gargesenes ngam a thet ciang in, than pan hong pusuak doai vei thin-am ni taw ki si hi, amate sia ngilo mama ahikom, tua lampi sia kuama in tawn ngam ngawl hi.
When he was come to the other side, into the country of the Gadarenes, there met him two demoniacs, issuing out of the monuments, so furious, that no person durst pass that way.
29 Amate au in, Jesus, nang Pathian Tapa, ko kung ah bang kin nei ni ziam? A hun cin ma ko hong vawtsia tu in hongpai ni ziam? ci uh hi.
These instantly cried, saying, What hast thou to do with us, Son of God? Art thou come hither to torment us before the time?
30 Tuak sung pan a khuala hiat na mun ah an zong tu a ki tha vokhon te om hi.
Now there was feeding, at some distance, a great herd of swine.
31 Doai te in Jesus thum uh a, nong hawlkhia tu a hile, zesung vokhon sung ah hong tumsak tan, ci hi.
And the friends besought him, saying, If thou expel us, permit us to go into the herd of swine.
32 Jesus in, Pai vun, ci hi. Amate pusuak in vokhon te sung ah tum uh hi: taciang, en vun, vok te a vekpi in tai a, tuipi sung ah kinuntaw suk in, tuisung ah thi siat hi.
He answered, Go. And when they were cast out, they went into the swine; on which the whole herd rushed down a precipice into the sea, and perished in the waters.
33 Vokcing te khuapi sung ah tai in, doai vei te ni tung ah thupiang teng son uh hi.
Then the herdsmen fled into the city, and reported everything, and what had happened to the demoniacs.
34 Tua ahikom khuapi sung mihing bup Jesus taw kisi tu in hongpai tek uh a: a mu uh ciang amate ngamngi pan pusuak tu in ngen uh hi.
Presently the whole city went out to meet Jesus, and having seen him, entreated him to depart out of their territory.
