< Matthew 13 >

1 Tua ni ma in Jesus inn pan pusuak in, tuili hui ah to hi.
And on that day, having departed from the house, Jesus was sitting beside the sea.
2 Mihon pi te ama kung ah hong ki kaikhop ngawp ciang in, ngunkuang sung ah tuaksuk in, to hi; taciang in mihonpi theampo sia tuili hui ah ding tek uh hi.
And many multitudes were gathered to him, so as for him (having entered in) to sit in the boat, and all the multitude had stood on the shore.
3 Taciang in sontena te zang in thu tampi son a; En vun, thaici poai pa thaici poai tu in hongpai hi;
And he spoke many things to them in parables, saying, Behold, the man who sows went forth to sow.
4 A poai ciang in, thaici pawlkhat te sia lamzin tung ah tak a, tungleang te hongpai in nekhawng siat hi:
And as he sowed, some fell by the wayside, and the birds came and devoured them.
5 Pawlkhat te sia suang tam in, leidai na mun ah tak hi: tawmvei sung in hong po pai hi, banghangziam cile lei thuk ngawl hi:
But others fell upon the rocky places, where they had not much soil, and straightaway they sprang up because they had no depth of soil.
6 Tabang in ni hong sua ciang, nisa in kang a; zungthuk nei ngawl ahikom in vuai in ngawtak siat hi.
But when the sun was risen, they were scorched, and because they had no root they withered.
7 Pawlkhat te sia lingphung sung ah tak a; lingkung te khang in zapcip siat hi:
And others fell in the thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked them.
8 A dang te sia leipha na sung ah tak a, pawlkhat te a se zakhat, pawlkhat te sia a se sawmluk, pawlkhat te sia a se sawm thum in khang hi.
But others fell upon the good ground, and yielded fruit, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
9 Zak natu bil nei peuma in, za tahen, ci hi.
He who has ears, let him hear.
10 Taciang in nungzui te Jesus kung ah hongpai a, banghang in sontena taw thuson ni ziam? ci in dong uh hi.
And the disciples having come, they said to him, Why do thou speak to them in parables?
11 Jesus in, Banghangziam cile, vantung kumpingam thuku heak thei na sia note hong kipia zo hikale, mipi te ki pia ngawl lai hi.
And having answered, he said to them, Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of the heavens, but to those men it has not been given.
12 Banghangziam cile, a neite ki pia thua tu a, a dimlet in nei tu hi: ahihang a nei ngawl te kung pan in a neisun zong ki laksak lai tu hi.
For whoever has, to him will be given, and he will have abundance, but whoever has not, even what he has will be taken away from him.
13 Tua ahikom amate tung ah sontena te taw thuson khi hi: banghangziam cile amate sia en napi mu ngawl; ngai napi za ngawl in tel zong tel thei ngawl uh hi.
Because of this I speak to them in parables, because seeing they see not, and hearing they hear not, nor do they understand.
14 Kamsang Isaiah in maisangthu a sonkholna ah, note sia za napi na tel bua uh hi; mu tu hi napi, kan tel ngawl nu hi, a ci thu amate tung ah tangtung hi.
And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which says, By hearing ye will hear, and will, no, not understand, and seeing ye will see, and will, no, not perceive.
15 Banghangziam cile, hi minam te sia a mit te khua mu ngawl, a bil te khuaza ngawl, a thinsung in bangma tel thei ngawl in, a nuntak na uh zong ki kheal ngawl hang in, a natna te zong ka damsak ngawl zadong in, amate sia a thinpui lei a, a bil uh in khua za hak bek domngawl in a mit uh zong thi siat hi.
For this people's heart became fat, and their ears hear heavily, and their eyes are shut, lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should turn, and I will heal them.
16 Ahizong, note sia na mit in mu a: na bil zong in za ahikom in thuphatoai na hi uh hi.
But blessed are your eyes, because they see, and your ears, because they hear.
17 A tatak ka ci ciang, na mu uh le na zak uh te kamsang te le mi thutang te in mu nuam mama napi, mu tha ngawl hi; za nuam mama napi, za tha ngawl hi.
For truly I say to you, that many prophets and righteous men longed to see the things that ye see, and did not see them, and to hear the things that ye hear, and did not hear them.
18 Tuahang in thaici poaipa thu sontena sia ngai vun.
Hear ye then the parable of the man who sows.
19 Lamzin tung ah atak thaici i khiakna sia, khatpo in kumpingam thu za a, tel thei ngawl hi, taciang mi pha ngawl pa hongpai in, a thinsung ah a ki poai thaici sia laksak hi.
Of every man who hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, evil comes, and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is that which was sown by the wayside.
20 Suangtam na mun ah a tak thaici sia, thu a zak pociang lungdamtak in a sang te hi;
And that which was sown upon the rocky places, this is he who hears the word, and straightaway receiving it with joy,
21 Ahihang zungthuk tha ngawl ahikom, tawmvei sung bek khom in: tua thu hang in haksatna le vawtsiatna a thet ciang, tawlnga kik pai hi.
yet he has no root in himself, instead it is temporary. And when tribulation or persecution develops because of the word, straightaway he is caused to stumble.
22 Lingphung sung a tak thaici te sia, thu za napi; hileitung thinngimna, leitung hauna i theamna in tua thu zapcip a, nga zo ngawl hi. (aiōn g165)
And that which was sown in the thorns, this is he who hears the word, and the care of this age, and the deceitfulness of wealth, choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.
But that which was sown upon the good ground, this is he who hears the word, and understands it, who indeed bears fruit, and is productive, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
24 Jesus in amate tung ah sontena adang khat son thua a, Vantung kumpingam sia pasal khat in a lo sung ah thaici pha a cing taw kibang hi:
He set forth another parable to them, saying, The kingdom of the heavens is compared to a man sowing good seed in his field.
25 Hi kale, ngual mut lan in, a ngal pa hongpai a, zungtang sung ah mimphei ci a poai zawkciang, ciakik hi.
But while the men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares in the midst of the wheat, and went away.
26 Thaici hong po in, tanghui te hong luak ciang in, mimphei te hong kilang hi.
And when the blade sprouted and produced fruit, then the tares also appeared.
27 Tabang ahiciang, naseam te inteakpa kung ah hongpai a, Topa awng, na losung ah thaici pha poai hi ngawl ni ziam? koisung pan hi mimphei te hong theng ziam? ci in dong hi.
But the bondmen of the house-ruler having come, they said to him, Sir, did thou not sow good seed in thy field? From where then does it have tares?
28 Innteakpa in hite sia ka ngalpa i vawt a hihi, ci hi. A naseam te in ama kung ah, pai in mimphei te ka bot tu uh ziam? ci in dong hi.
And he said to them, A hostile man did this. And the bondmen said to him, Do thou desire therefore, after going, we would gather them up?
29 Ahihang inteakpa in, bot heak vun; banghangziam cile mimphei te na baw uh ciang, zungtang te taw bot khawm tha tu nu hi, ci hi.
But he said, No, lest while gathering up the tares, ye uproot the wheat together with them.
30 Anlak hun dong khang khawm phot tahen, anlak hun ciang in mimphei te khawm masa vun a, na lom hen zawk uh ciang hal vun: ahihang zungtang te a hile seau sung ah thun vun, ci in anla te ka ci tu hi, ci hi.
Allow both to grow together until the harvest. And at the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather up first the tares, and bind them in bundles in order to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.
31 Jesus in sontena dang khat ma a son thua na ah, Vantung kumpingam sia pasal khat in ankam cii la in, lo sung ah a poai taw kibang hi:
He set forth another parable to them, saying, The kingdom of the heavens is like a grain of mustard plant, which having taken, a man sowed in his field.
32 Tua thaici sia thaici theampo sung pan a nobel hi: ahihang hong khan ciang in ante teng sung pan a lianbel hong suak a, a kung hong suak hi, tua hu in van a vacim te zong hongpai in a bak te tung ah tawlnga hi, ci hi.
Which indeed is smaller than all seeds, but when it is grown, it is greater than the plants, and becomes a tree, so as for the birds of the sky to come and lodge in the branches of it.
33 Jesus in amate tung ah sontena dang khat a son thu sia; Vantung kumpingam sia nupi khat in tol tawm a lak sia, anvui law thum sung ah hel a, tua tol tawm cilik in anvui theampo a pawmsak siat taw kibang hi, ci hi.
He spoke another parable to them. The kingdom of the heavens is like leaven, which having taken, a woman hid in three measures of meal until it was all leavened.
34 Jesus in hi sontena te zang in mipite tung ah thuson hi: sontena zang ngawl in thuson ngeingawl hi:
Jesus spoke all these things in parables to the multitudes, and he did not speak to them independent of a parable,
35 Kamsang i sonkholna ah, amate tung ah sontena te zang in thuson tu khi hi; leitung bulpi a ki phu panin thuku sia amate tung ah pualak tu khi hi, ci thu a tangtunna tu hi.
so that what was spoken through the prophet might be fulfilled, which says, I will open my mouth in parables. I will utter things concealed from the foundation of the world.
36 Tua zawkciang Jesus in mihonpi te ciasak a, innsung ah a tum uh ciang: a nungzui te a kung ah hongpai in, losung a mimphei thu sontena sia hong son tan, ci uh hi.
Then having sent the multitudes away, Jesus came into the house. And his disciples came to him, saying, Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field.
37 Jesus in, Thaici pha a poai sia mihing Tapa hi;
And having answered, he said to them, He who sows the good seed is the Son of man,
38 Lo sia leitung bup hi; thaici pha sia kumpingam tate a hihi; ahihang mimphei te sia mi pha ngawl pa tate a hihi;
and the field is the world, and the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of evil.
39 Mimphei cii a poai ngalpa sia doaimangpa hi; anlak hun sia leitung bo hun hi a; anla te sia vantungmi te a hihi. (aiōn g165)
And the enemy who sowed them is the devil, and the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are agents. (aiōn g165)
40 Tua ahikom mimphei te sia khawm in, mei taw hal siat hi; tasiabangma in hileitung a bo ciang in piang tu hi. (aiōn g165)
As therefore the tares are gathered up and burned in fire, so it will be at the end of this age. (aiōn g165)
41 Mihing Tapa in, Ama vantungmi te sawl tu a, mi a khialsak te le siatna a vawt te ama ukna sung pan kaikhawm tu hi;
The Son of man will send forth his agents, and they will gather out of his kingdom all the stumbling-blocks, and those doing lawlessness,
42 Tua te sia kaa na le hangoaina mun mei sung ah khiasuk tuh hi.
and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
43 Taciang in mipha te sia a Pa uh i ukna sung ah ni bang in tang tu uh hi. Zak natu bil nei theampo in za tahen.
Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
44 Vantung kumpingam thu sia, losung ah a ki sealcip na manpha taw kibang hi; tua neisa sia khatpo in a mu ciang in, phual a, lungdam mama in a neisa theampo zuak hi, taciang tua lo lei hi.
Again the kingdom of the heavens is like a treasure hidden in the field, which a man having found, he hid. And from the joy of it, he goes and sells all, as many things as he has, and buys that field.
45 Vantung kumpingam sia a manham pale a zong sumleang pa taw kibang hi:
Again, the kingdom of the heavens is like a man, a merchant, seeking fine pearls.
46 Ama in a manham pale khat a mu ciang in, a neisa theampo zuak in, lei hi.
Who, having found one very valuable pearl, after departing, sold all, as many things as he had, and bought it.
47 Vantung kumpingam thu sia tuipi sung ah a ki pai, ngasa tatuam a awk ngen taw kibang hi:
Again, the kingdom of the heavens is like a net that was cast into the sea, and gathered from every kind,
48 A ngen a dim ciang in tuihui ah kai a, a to kawm in teal hi, ngasa pha te bawm sung ah heang a, a pha ngawl te sia vawk hi.
which, when it was full, after dragging to the shore, having sat down, they gathered the good into vessels, but they cast out the useless.
49 Hi leitung bo ciang in tabangma hi tu hi: vantungmi te hongpai in, mipha te sung pan in mi pha ngawl te khen tu a, (aiōn g165)
So it will be at the end of the age. The agents will come forth, and separate the bad from among the righteous, (aiōn g165)
50 Kaana le hangoaina mun meisung ah khia tu hi, ci in zo hi.
and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
51 Jesus in, Hi thu te theampo na tel zo uh ziam? ci in dong hi, amate in tel khu hi, Topa, ci in zo kik uh hi.
Jesus says to them, Have ye understood all these things? They say to him, Yes, Lord.
52 Jesus in amate tung ah, Tua ahikom, vantung kumpingam atu in a ki hil thukhamhil te sia, a neisa a lui le a thak a vekpi in a pusua inn neipa taw kibang hi.
And he said to them, Because of this every scholar who has been instructed in the kingdom of the heavens is like a man, a house-ruler, who brings forth out of his treasure things new and old.
53 Jesus in hi sontena te a son zawkciang tua mun pan in pusuak hi.
And it came to pass, when Jesus finished these parables, he departed from there.
54 Ama ngamsung a tum ciang in, amate i synagogue sung ah thuhil a, amate in lamdangsa mama in, hibang ciimna le vangletna nei nasep te sia koisung pan nga ziam?
And having come into his fatherland he taught them in their synagogue, so as for them to be astonished, and say, From where is this wisdom and powers in this man?
55 Ama sia lettama pa tapa hi ngawl ziam? Mary sia a nu hi ngawl ziam? James, Joses, Simon le Judah te zong a suapui te hi ngawl ziam?
Is not this the carpenter's son? Is not his mother called Mary, and his brothers, James and Joses and Simon and Judas?
56 A suapui nu te zong i kung ma ah hong om hi ngawl ziam? koisung pan hisia pa in hite theampo nga ziam? ci uh hi.
And his sisters, are they not all near us? From where then are all these things in this man?
57 Amate sia Jesus hang in tha neam uh hi. Ahihang Jesus in amate tung ah, Kamsang sia ama ngamsung le a innkuan sung simngawl mundang ah ki upat hi, ci hi.
And they were offended by him. But Jesus said to them, A prophet is not without honor, except in his fatherland, and in his house.
58 Amate i up ngawlna hang in, tua mun ah vanglian nasep tam seam ngawl hi.
And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.
