< Hebrews 9 >
1 Tua zawkciang thuciam masa zong Pathian nasep na ah biakna ngeina te le leitung mun thiangtho nei hamtang hi.
Therefore the first covenant had also rites of worship and a worldly sanctuary.
2 Banghangziam cile a masa in biakbuk sa a, a sung ah khuaimei, sabuai le anluum thiangtho te om hi; tasia sia mun thiangtho kici hi.
For there was a tabernacle prepared; the first part, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the loaves set on it, which is called the sanctuary.
3 Taciang kidalna puan ni na i nungsang ah a thiangthobel a kici biakbuk om hi;
And beyond the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holy of holies, having the golden censer,
4 Tua sung ah ngim namtui hal na kham kuangdal, kham taw a kizui thukham thingkuang, tua sung ah manna koina kham beal, a dawnmoi suak Aaron ciangkhut le thukham suangpheak te om hi;
and the ark of the covenant which was overlaid all round with gold, and in which was the golden pot with the manna in it, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;
5 Taciang a tung ah hesuakna tokhum vangletna taw a liapsak cherubim te om a, tua thu sia tu in a tuan in i son thei bua hi.
and over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat: of which it is not necessary now to speak particularly.
6 Tu in hi nate a ki thoai siat zawkciang, thiampi te sia a tawntung in a masabel biakbuk sung ah tum a, Pathian nasep seam uh hi.
Now these things being thus disposed, the priests always went into the first part of the tabernacle to perform their daily services:
7 Ahihang a ni na sung ah thiampi sang khat bek kumkhat in khatvei tum a, thisan ngawl taw hi ngawl in, tasia sia ama atu le mipi te mawna atu taw pia hi:
but into the second only the high-priest went once a year; and that not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the sins of the people committed through ignorance.
8 A khatna biakbuk a kip sung theampo mun thiangthobel sung tum na lampi sia kilangsak ngawl hi, ci in Tha Thiangtho in phawksak hi:
The Holy Ghost shewing by this, that the way into the Holy of holies was not yet manifested, the first tabernacle being yet standing.
9 Tasia sia tu hun atu in lim a hihi, tua sung ah letsong te le biakpiakna a piak nate in, a pia te i khentel theina sia cialcingsak thei ngawl hi, ci musak hi;
Which figure remains to the present time, wherein gifts and sacrifices are offered, that cannot perfect the worshipper as to his conscience,
10 Tua neak le dawn, ki thiansuana ngeina a tatuam le cilesa taw kisai biakna dan te sia puaphat hun ciangdong bek kip hi.
relating only to meats and drinks, and different washings, and such carnal ordinances as were required till the time of reformation.
11 Ahihang Christ sia hong theng pheang tu na pha te i thiampi sang dinmun in hongpai a, khut tawsak ngawl a lianzaw le a kicing zaw biakbuk taw hongpai hi, tasia sia hi inn hi ngawl hi;
But Christ being come an high-priest of the good things to come, hath entered once for all into the holy places, through a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is, not of this building,
12 Taciang keal le khuino thisan taw zong hi ngawl hi, ahihang Ama thisan tatak taw mun thiangtho sung ah khat vei tum a, eite atu in tawntung tatna hong ngasak hi. (aiōnios )
nor by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood, having obtained eternal redemption for us. (aiōnios )
13 Banghangziam cile khuital te le keal te thisan ahizong, khui ki hal te i meivam ahizong, a thiangtho ngawl te a the ciang in cilesa a thiangtho ngawl te thiangthosak thei ahile:
For if the blood of bulls and goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purification of the flesh;
14 Tawntung Thaa tungtawn in Ama le Ama Pathian mai ah a nin bang ngawl in a ki pia, Christ thisan in a nungta Pathian atu naseam tu in, note i khentel theina sia a thi naseam te pan in bangza in thiangthosak seseam tu ziam? (aiōnios )
how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself spotless to God, purify your conscience from dead works, that ye may serve the living God? (aiōnios )
15 Tua ahikom a masa thuciam nuai ah thukham paltan nate tatna atu in Christ hong thi a, a sap te in tawntung ngamh kamciam a lua thei natu in, Ama sia thuciam thak i palai a hihi. (aiōnios )
And on this account He is the mediator of a new covenant, that undergoing death for the redemption of transgressions against the first covenant, they that are called might receive the promise of an eternal inheritance. (aiōnios )
16 Banghangziam cile ngamh lua thei natu thuciam a omna mun ah, ngamhlua thei natu thuciam a pia sia a thi kul hamtang hi.
For where a testament is, there is a necessity of proving the death of the testator.
17 Banghangziam cile ngamhlua natu thuciam sia thuciam a pia mihing te a thi zawkciang bek in thu nei a: thu a ciam pa a nuntaksung thu nei ngawl hi.
For a testament is valid after men are dead, but is of no force while the testator is living.
18 Tua ahikom amasa thuciam zong thisan om ngawl in thiangthosak ngawl hi.
Whence neither was the first covenant entered into without blood:
19 Banghangziam cile Moses in mi theampo tung ah thukham bang in thupiak a son zawkciang in, tui taw a ki hel khuino le keal thisan sia tuumul sannum le hyssop taw la hi, taciang laibu le mi theampo tung ah the a,
for when every command was spoken according to the law, by Moses to all the people, he took the blood of calves and goats, with water and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled the book and all the people,
20 Hisia in Pathian in note vawt tu in hong sawl thisan thuciam a hihi, ci hi.
saying, this is the blood of the covenant, which God hath enjoined you.
21 Tuabek dom ngawl in biakbuk le Pathian nasepna atu in a kizang beal theampo sia thisan the siat hi.
And the tabernacle, and all the vessels of public worship he likewise sprinkled with blood.
22 Taciang na theampo phial thukham bang in thisan taw thiangthosak hi; thisan luang ngawl in maw maina om ngawl hi.
And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood; and without shedding of blood there is no remission.
23 Tua ahikom ette tu lim te sia hite taw thiangthosak tu kisam ahi bangma in; vantung na tatak te sia hi te sang in a phazaw biakpiakna te taw amate le amate thiangthosak hi.
It was therefore necessary that the representations of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with more excellent sacrifices than these.
24 Banghangziam cile Christ sia a tatak te musakna, khut taw a kisa mun thiangtho te sung ah tum ngawl hi; ahihang tu in Pathian mai ah eite atu in a kilang vantung tatak ah tum hi:
For Christ is not entered into holy places made with hands, which were but types of the true ones; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:
25 Thiampi sang sia mun thiangtho sung ah a dang thisan taw kumsim a tum bang hi ngawl in, Christ sia ama le ama ki pia tu in tum tawntung ngawl hi;
nor to offer Himself often, as the high-priest entereth into the holy of holies every year with the blood of others;
26 Tabang hibale, leitung piancil pan kipan in a thuak tawntung kul tu hi: ahihang tu in, hun bo na ah Ama le ama biakpiakna a kipiakna tungtawn in, mawna vawk tu in Ama sia khatvei kilang zo hi. (aiōn )
(for then He must indeed have suffered often since the foundation of the world) but now once at the conclusion of the ages He hath been made manifest for the abolishing of sin by the sacrifice of himself. (aiōn )
27 Mihing sia khatvei thi tu in a ki ciangtan hi a, tua zawkciang in thukhenna thuak tu hi:
And as it is appointed to men once to die, and after this the judgement;
28 Tua ahikom Christ sia mi tampi te mawna pua tu in khatvei biakna in piakna thuak hi; taciang Ama a en te mawna om ngawl ngupna atu in ni vei na kilang kik tu hi.
so Christ, having been once offered to bear the sins of many, shall appear the second time without sin, to those who are waiting for Him, unto salvation.
