< Hebrews 4 >

1 Tua ahikom Ama tawlngakna sung ah tum tu in hong kamciam om nginge napi, note sung pan a theng ngawl khatpo na om thak ngawl natu uh kidawm tek tawng.
Let us therefore fear least a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of us should seem to fall short of it:
2 Banghangziam cile eite tung ah lungdamna thu hong ki hil sa bangma in, amate tung ah zong ki hil zo hi napi: a zak thu uh upna taw a ngawm ngawl uh hu in Pathian thu pualak na sia amate atu in phattuamna om ngawl hi.
for we are graciously offered it, as they also were. But the word, which they heard, did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
3 Banghangziam cile ei a um te sia tawlngakna sung ah i tum hi, Ama in, leitung i zungpi a phu pan kipan nasep man thiang zo napi, ka thin-ukna taw ka kiciam bang in amate ka tawlngakna sung ah tum ngawl tu hi, ci sonkhol hi.
For we who believe shall enter into rest, as He said above, "So I sware in my wrath, they shall not enter into my rest:" though the works of creation were finished from the foundation of the world:
4 Banghangziam cile ni sali ni taw kisai in munkhat ah hibang in son hi, Pathian sia nasep theampo pan in ni sali ni ciang tawlnga hi.
for it is thus said concerning the seventh day, "And God rested the seventh day from all his works."
5 Taciang hi mun ah, amate sia ka tawlngakna sung ah tum ngawl tu hi, ci kik hi.
And yet in this place, "They shall not enter into my rest."
6 Tua ahikom mi pawlkhat te tua sung ah tum thei tu in tawlngakna om nginge lai hi, taciang lungdamna thupha hilna a za masabel te sia up ngawl na hu in tum ngawl hi:
Seeing therefore it remaineth that some are to enter into it, and they to whom it was at first offered did not enter because of their unbelief,
7 Tu ni in Ama aw na za uh le, na thin uh sahsak heak vun, a ci bangma in, hun saupi zawkciang, Tu ni, ci in David tungtawn in a son nikhat koi in ciamte hi, zong ci kik lai hi.
He appoints a certain day, called To-day, saying by David so long after, (as it is recorded) "To-day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts."
8 Banghangziam cile, Joshua in amate sia tawlngakna pia zo ahile, tua zawkciang in, ni dang thu son kik nawn ngawl tu hi.
For if Joshua had given them the rest, He would not afterwards have spoken of another day.
9 Tua ahikom Pathian i mihing te atu in tawlngakna sia omlai hi.
There remaineth therefore a rest for the people of God:
10 Banghangziam cile Ama tawlngakna sung ah a tum peuma, Pathian sia a nasep pan a tawlngak bangma in, ama zong ama nasep te pan in tawlnga hi.
for he that is entered into his rest, hath also himself ceased from his works, as God did from his.
11 Tua ahikom up ngawl na hang in a pukte ette in i puk batu a, tawlngakna sung ah i tum thei natu in hanciam tek tawng.
Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, least any one fall after the same example of unbelief.
12 Banghangziam cile Pathian thu sia nungta hi, taciang vangletna taw kidim a, lang ni hiam namsau sang in hiam zaw hi, nuntakna le thaa, ngu le taang le ngungeak te zong sunlet in ki khensak hi, taciang thinsung i ngaisutna le ngealna te zong a he pa a hihi.
For the word of God is lively and efficacious, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, and of the very joints and marrow, and judging the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
13 Ama mai ah a bitphua sate a kilang ngawl khat zong om nagwl hi: ahihang eite thu hong khen pa i mu na ah na theampo sia pum nguak le a ki hongsa hi siat hi.
And there is no creature concealed from his sight: but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him, to whom we are to give an account.
14 Vantung ah a pai zo, a lian thiampi sang, Pathian Tapa Jesus nei i hikom, i hil sa thu te khotak in len tawng.
Having therefore a great high-priest, that is passed into the heavens, even Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession:
15 Banghangziam cile i nei thiampi sang sia i thaneamna te hong thuakpui thei ngawl hi ngawl hi; eite bangma in ze-etna tatuam thuak napi, maw ngawl hi.
for we have not an high-priest who cannot sympathize with our infirmities, but was in all respects tempted in like manner with us, yet without sin.
16 Tua ahikom hesuakna i sang a, i kisap hun in thuthiamna i nga thei natu in, thuthiamna kumpi tokhum mai ah hangsantak in zuan tawng.
Let us therefore come with freedom to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace for our seasonable help.
