< Galatia 5 >

1 Tua ahikom Christ in a suakta in hong vawt a, tua suatakna sung ah kiptak in ding vun, taciang sila hi na hakkol pua kik nawn heak vun.
Christ having made us gloriously free--stand fast and do not again be hampered with the yoke of slavery.
2 En vun, keima Paul in kong ci hi, vunteap na tan uh ahile, Christ sia note atu phattuamna bangma om ngawl tu hi.
Remember that it is I Paul who tell you that if you receive circumcision Christ will avail you nothing.
3 Banghangziam cile vunteap tan khatsim tung ah, ama in thukham vekpi zui tu in leiba pa hi, ci in tetti ka pang kik hi.
I once more protest to every man who receives circumcision that he is under obligation to obey the whole Law of Moses.
4 Note sung ah a kuamapo thukham tungtawn in thutang a ki suaksak te atu in, Christ sia note tung ah bangma vangletna nei ngawl suak a; thuthiamna pan in na puk uh hi.
Christ has become nothing to any of you who are seeking acceptance with God through the Law: you have fallen away from grace.
5 Banghangziam cile eite in upna tungtawn in thutang suana i lametna sia Tha tungtawn in i ngak hi.
We have not, for through the Spirit we wait with longing hope for an acceptance with God which is to come through faith.
6 Banghangziam cile Jesus Christ sung ah vunteap tanna in bangma phatuam ngawl hi, taciang vunteap tan ngawl zong phatuam tuan ngawl hi; ahihang itna taw kisai upna bekma phatuam hi.
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision is of any importance; but only faith working through love.
7 Note phatak in na tai uh hi; thuman thu zui ngawl tu in akua in hong khak ziam?
You were running the race nobly! Who has interfered and caused you to swerve from the truth?
8 Hi sapna sia note hong sam pa kung pan hongpai hi ngawl hi.
No such teaching ever proceeded from Him who is calling you.
9 Tol tawmno in anvui buppi thosak hi.
A little yeast corrupts the whole of the dough.
10 Note in ngaisutna dang na nei batu uh hi, ci sia Topa tungtawn in note sung ah muanna ka nei hi: ahihang note hong nawngkaisak peuma sia akuapo ahizong thukhenna thuak tu hi.
For my part I have strong confidence in you in the Lord that you will adopt my view of the matter. But the man--be he who he may--who is troubling you, will have to bear the full weight of the judgement to be pronounced on him.
11 Taciang suapui te awng, keima in vunteap tan na thu ka hil lai ahile, banghang vawtsiatna thuak tu khi ziam? ka hil ahile thinglamte hang in lutu thei nateng bo siat zo hi.
As for me, brethren, if I am still a preacher of circumcision, how is it that I am still suffering persecution? In that case the Cross has ceased to be a stumbling-block!
12 Note hong nawngkaisak te sattan in pe kik nawn ngawl vet tu ka dei hi.
Would to God that those who are unsettling your faith would even mutilate themselves.
13 Banghangziam cile, suapui te awng, suatakna sung ah hong sam zo hi; tua suatakna sia na pumpi atu hunpha bek in zang heak vun, ahihang itna taw khat le khat ki hu tavun.
You however, brethren, were called to freedom. Only do not turn your freedom into an excuse for giving way to your lower natures; but become bondservants to one another in a spirit of love.
14 Banghangziam cile thukham theampo sia, noma le noma na ki it bang in na innpaam te it in, ci kammal khat sung ah ki khuangkhim hi.
For the entire Law has been obeyed when you have kept the single precept, which says, "You are to love your fellow man equally with yourself."
15 Ahihang note khat le khat ki pet in na ki lopval uh le, khat le khat ki siatsua ngawl tu in kidawm vun.
But if you are perpetually snarling and snapping at one another, beware lest you are destroyed by one another.
16 Hi thu kong son hi, Tha sung ah nungta vun, taciang cilesa deina tangtungsak heak vun.
This then is what I mean. Let your lives be guided by the Spirit, and then you will certainly not indulge the cravings of your lower natures.
17 Banghangziam cile cilesa in Thaa langpan in thangai a, Thaa in zong cilesa langpan in thangai hi: taciang hi te sia khat le khat ki do uh hi: tua ahikom note deina nate na vawt thei bua uh hi.
For the cravings of the lower nature are opposed to those of the Spirit, and the cravings of the Spirit are opposed to those of the lower nature; because these are antagonistic to each other, so that you cannot do everything to which you are inclined.
18 Ahihang note sia Thaa in hong makai ahile, thukham nuai ah na om bua uh hi.
But if the Spirit is leading you, you are not subject to Law.
19 Tu in cilesa nasep nate kilang a, tabang te sia; palngul mawna, paktat mawna, thiantho ngawl na, maizum heak ngawl na,
Now you know full well the doings of our lower natures. Fornication, impurity, indecency, idol-worship, sorcery;
20 Milim biakna, bum le ai toai na, ngaimawkna, ki ban ngawl na, pawlkhenna, thin-ukna, ki el na, kikhenna, ki hil khial na,
enmity, strife, jealousy, outbursts of passion, intrigues, dissensions, factions, envyings;
21 Hazatna, tualthat, zukham le kham thei tatuam taw nopsakna te a hihi: taciang hibang te sia a bosa hun sung ah ka sonsa bangma in, tabang nate a seam peuma Pathian kumpingam lua ngawl tu uh hi.
hard drinking, riotous feasting, and the like. And as to these I forewarn you, as I have already forewarned you, that those who are guilty of such things will have no share in the Kingdom of God.
22 Ahihang Thaa i nga sia, itna, lungdamna, thinnopna, thinsauna, thinneamna, phatna, upna,
The Spirit, on the other hand, brings a harvest of love, joy, peace; patience towards others, kindness, benevolence;
23 Nunneamna, ki tek na: tabang te taw ki lebul in thukham om ngawl hi.
good faith, meekness, self-restraint.
24 Taciang Christ i mite in a cilesa deina le thangaina te sia thinglamte tung ah that zo uh hi.
Against such things as these there is no law. Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified their lower nature with its passions and appetites.
25 Eite Thaa sung ah i nungta le, Thaa deina bang in nung ta tawng.
If we are living by the Spirit's power, let our conduct also be governed by the Spirit's power.
26 Eite khat le khat thin ki uksak le ki haza in a mannung ngawl vangletna dei bua tawng.
Let us not become vain-glorious, challenging one another, envying one another.
