< 2 Corinth 11 >
1 Ka mawmawtna tawmvei nong thuak tu uh ka dei hi: hong thuak takpi tavun.
I could wish that you would tolerate a little folly in me! But indeed you do tolerate me.
2 Banghangziam cile keima in note sia a thiangtho ngaknu thiangtho bang in Christ tung ah kong piak thei natu in, pasal khat tung ah dokzu kong pia zo hi: tua ahikom Pathian mi ka hi nataw in hong thum khi hi.
I am jealous over you with the jealousy of God. For I promised you in marriage as a pure bride, to one husband – the Christ.
3 Ahihang bangbangpo ahizong, ngul in thimthel nataw Eve a theam bang in, Christ sung ah na thinphat na uh te a siatsua tu ka lau hi.
Yet I fear that it may turn out that, just as the snake by his craftiness deceived Eve, so your minds may have lost the loyalty and purity due from you to the Christ.
4 Banghangziam cile ka hil ngei ngawl uh a dang Jesus thu a hil te hongpai ahile, ahibale, na san ngei ngawl uh a dang thaa na sang uh ahile, a hibale, na san ngei ngawl uh a dang lungdamna thu na sang uh ahile, tua pa taw na thuak khawm tu uh hi.
For, if some newcomer is proclaiming a Jesus other than him whom we proclaimed, or if you are receiving a Spirit different from the Spirit which you received, or a good news different from that which you welcomed, then you are marvellously tolerant!
5 Banghangziam cile keima sia a lianbel sawltak te sang in, ka niam zaw tuan bua hi, ci ka ngaisun hi.
I do not regard myself as in any way inferior to the most eminent apostles!
6 Thu ka hil ciang in kamthiam ka hi ngawl hang, heakna lam ah tabang ka hi bua hi; ahihang na theampo sung ah note sung ah ka kilang siat zo uh hi.
Though I am no trained orator, yet I am not without knowledge; indeed we made this perfectly clear to you in every way.
7 Note hong lamsang tu in keima le keima ki niamkhiak in ka om a, Pathian lungdamna thupha a thong in kong hil hu in note lutu natu ka seam ziam?
Perhaps you say that I did wrong in humbling myself that you might be exalted – I mean because I told you God’s good news without payment.
8 Note atu na kasep thei natu in, thaman te la a, pawlpi dang te a suam taw ka kibang zo hi.
I robbed other churches by taking pay from them, so that I might serve you!
9 Note kung ah ka omlai in kisapna khatpo ka nei zong kuama hong ngen ngawl khi hi: banghangziam cile Macedonia ngam pan hongpai suapui te in ka kisapna te hong pia uh hi: taciang note atu vanngit ka hi ngawl natu in na theampo ah keima le keima ka kikeam hi, taciang maisang zong keima le keima ka kikeam lai tu hi.
And, when I was with you in need, I did not become a burden to any of you; for our friends, on coming from Macedonia, supplied my needs. I kept myself, and will keep myself from being an expense to you in any way.
10 Christ i thutak sia ka sung ah a om bangma in, Achaia ngamsung ah hi ka ki suantakna sia kuama in hong khak thei ngawl tu hi.
As surely as I know anything of the truth of Christ, this boast, as far as I am concerned, will not be stopped in any part of Greece.
11 Banghangziam? note kong it ngawl hang a hi ziam? Pathian in hong he hi.
Why? Because I do not love you? God knows that I do!
12 Ahihang hunpha a dei te in hunpha a nga thei ngawl natu in ahizong, kote bangma in a ki suantak thei ngawl natu in ahizong, ka nasep ka seam suak lai tu hi.
What I am doing now I will continue to do in order to cut away the ground from under those who are wishing for some ground for attacking me, so that as regards the thing of which they boast they may appear in their true characters, just as we do.
13 Banghangziam cile tabang te sia a man ngawl sawltak te, leilot naseam tele amate le amate Christ i sawltak te bang in a meal a lai te a hi uh hi.
Such people are false apostles, treacherous workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ!
14 Taciang bangma lamdang ngawl hi; banghangziam cile Satan ama cikteak zong a tang vantungmi bang in a meal lai hi.
And no wonder; for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.
15 Tua ahikom Satan naseam te sia thutang suana naseam te bang in a meal uh lai ahile, thu thupi hi ngawl hi; amate tawpna sia amate nasep te bangma hi tu hi.
It is not surprising, therefore, if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. But their end will be in accordance with their actions.
16 Kong sonkik hi, kuama in a mawmaw in hong ngaisun heak hen; tabang hibale, tawmvei sung keima le keima ka ki suantak thei natu in a mawmaw bang in hong sang phot tavun.
I say again – Let no one think me a fool! Yet, if you do, at least welcome me as you would a fool, so that I, too may indulge in a little boasting.
17 Hi ka kampau na sia Topa deina bang in ka pau hi ngawl hi, ahihang a mawmaw bang in, ki muan na taw ka ki suantakna a hihi.
When I speak like this, I am not speaking as the Master would, but as a fool might, in boasting so confidently.
18 Mi tampi cilesa ngeina bang in ki suangtak hi, keima zong ka ki suangtak tu hi.
As so many are boasting of earthly things, I, too, will boast.
19 Banghangziam cile note mipil na hi uh hu in a mawmaw te lungdamtak in na thuak uh hi.
For all your cleverness, you tolerate fools willingly enough!
20 Banghangziam cile mihing khat in saltang tu in hong paipui, hong suam, na neisa uh hong sut, ama le ama ki lamsang, na biang uh hong beang le na thuak uh hi.
You tolerate a person even when they enslave you, when they plunder you, when they get you into their power, when they put on airs of superiority, when they strike you in the face!
21 Ka thaneam na uh bang in zawnsakna taw kisai in ka pau a hihi. Ahihang mihing khat in bangthu po ah a hangsan ahile, keima zong ka hangsan hi, ci in a mawmaw bang in ka pau hi.
I admit, to my shame, that we have been weak. But whatever the subject on which others are not afraid to boast – though it is foolish to say so – I am not afraid either!
22 Amate sia Hebrew mite ziam? keima zong ka hihi. Amate Israel mite a hi ziam? keima zong ka hihi. Amate Abraham suan te a hi ziam? keima zong ka hihi.
Are they Hebrews? So am I! Are they Israelites? So am I! Are they descendants of Abraham? So am I!
23 Amate sia Christ naseam te ziam? a mawmaw bang in ka pau hi, keima sia amate sang in ka hi zaw kan lai hi; nasepna sung ah a dimlet a tamzaw in ka seam hi, ki sim zo ngawl sat na, tu le tu thongtak a, tu le tu thina mun ah ka theng hi.
Are they “Servants of Christ”? Though it is madness to talk like this, I am more so than they! I have had more of toil, more of imprisonment! I have been flogged times without number. I have been often at death’s door.
24 Sawm thum le kua vei sat na Judah te kung pan in nga vei ka thuak hi.
Five times I received at the hands of my own people forty lashes, all but one.
25 Thumvei ciang-uai taw sat na ka thuak hi, khat vei suang tum taw hong deang uh hi, tembaw lal thum vei ka thuak hi, zankhat le ni khat sung tuipi sung ah ka om hi;
Three times I was beaten with rods. Once I was stoned. Three times I was shipwrecked. I have spent a whole day and night in the deep.
26 Tu le tu in khual ka haw hi, tui sung ah lauhuai nate, ngual suam te sung ah lau huai nate, ka ngammi pui te hang in lau huai nate, Pathian he ngawl te hang in lau huai nate, khuapi sung lau huai nate, duisung lauhuai nate, tuipi sung lau huai nate, a thuman ngawl suapuite sung ah lau huai nate;
My journeys have been many. I have been through dangers from rivers, dangers from robbers, dangers from my own people, dangers from the Gentiles, dangers in towns, dangers in the country, dangers on the sea, dangers among people pretending to be followers of the Lord.
27 Ngimtak in nasep le haksatna sung ah ahizong, tu le tu mutcim ngawl in ahizong, ngilkial le dangtak in ahizong, khuasik le pumnguak in ahizong, ka om hi.
I have been through toil and hardship. I have passed many a sleepless night; I have endured hunger and thirst; I have often been without food; I have known cold and nakedness.
28 Tabang a puasang nate bek domngawl in, pawlpi theampo deisakna sia nisim in ka tung ah hong theng hi.
And, not to speak of other things, there is my daily burden of anxiety about all the churches.
29 Akua thaneam ziam, taciang keima zong ka thaneam hi ngawl ziam? akua puk ziam, ka thinsung ah mei bang in hong kang hi ngawl ziam?
Who is weak without my being weak? Who is led astray without my burning with indignation?
30 Kisuantak a kul tu ahile, ka thaneamna thu te taw kisai in ka ki suangtak tu hi.
If I must boast, I will boast of things which show my weakness!
31 Leilot thu son ngawl khi hi, ci sia tawntung poktak i Topa Jesus Christ i Pa le Pathian in hong he hi. (aiōn )
The God and Father of the Lord Jesus – he who is for ever blessed – knows that I am speaking the truth. (aiōn )
32 Damascus ah kumpi Aretas khut nuai ah ngam uk pa in keima man nuam in Damascus sia ngalkap te in cing hi:
When I was in Damascus, the Governor under King Aretas had the gates of that city guarded, so as to arrest me,
33 Taciang kul kongpi pan in bawm taw hong khia uh a, ngam uk pa khutsung pan ka suakta hi.
but I was let down in a basket through a window in the wall, and so escaped his hands.
