Behold, what loue the Father hath giuen to vs, that we should be called the sonnes of God: for this cause this world knoweth you not, because it knoweth not him.
2 Ka it te awng, tu in eite sia Pathian ta i hihi, taciang, maisang bangbang i hi tu ziam, ci sia kilang ngawl lai hi: ahihang Ama hong kilang ciang in, eite zong Ama taw i kibang tu hi; banghangziam cile Ama sia ama hina bang in i mu tu hi, ci i he hi.
Dearely beloued, nowe are we the sonnes of God, but yet it is not made manifest what we shall be: and we know that when he shalbe made manifest, we shalbe like him: for we shall see him as he is.
3 Taciang Ama sung ah hi lametna a nei theampo in, Jesus Christ i thiantho bang in ama le ama ki thiangthosak hi.
And euery man that hath this hope in him, purgeth himselfe, euen as he is pure.
4 Akua mapo mawna a vawt peuma thukham paltan hi: banghangziam cile mawna i ci sia thukham paltan na a hihi.
Whosoeuer committeth sinne, transgresseth also the Law: for sinne is the transgression of the Lawe.
5 Taciang Ama sia eite mawna te la tu in hong kilang hi, ci na he uh hi; taciang Ama sung ah mawna om ngawl hi.
And ye knowe that hee was made manifest, that he might take away our sinnes, and in him is no sinne.
6 Akua mapo Ama sung ah a om paisuak peuma mawna vawt tawntung ngawl hi: mawna a vawt tawntung peuma Ama mu ngawl lai a, he zong he ngawl lai hi.
Whosoeuer abideth in him, sinneth not: whosoeuer sinneth, hath not seene him, neither hath knowen him.
7 Tano te awng, kuama in hong theam heak tahen: Ama a thuman bangma in a thutang te in thutang suana vawt hi.
Litle children, let no man deceiue you: he that doeth righteousnes, is righteous, as hee is righteous.
8 Mawna a vawt tawntung peuma doaimangpa neisa a hihi; banghangziam cile doaimangpa in a kipat pan in mawna vawt hi. Banghangziam cile doaimangpa nasep te siatsua tu sia, Pathian Tapa hong kilatna i tup le sawm a hihi.
He that comitteth sinne, is of the deuil: for the deuill sinneth from the beginning: for this purpose was made manifest that Sonne of God, that he might loose the workes of the deuil.
9 Akua mapo Pathian sung pan piang tate peuma mawna vawt tawntung ngawl hi; banghangziam cile Pathian i thaici sia ama sung ah om hi: taciang ama sia Pathian sung pan a piang ta ahikom mawna vawt tawntung ngawl hi.
Whosoeuer is borne of God, sinneth not: for his seede remaineth in him, neither can hee sinne, because he is borne of God.
10 Pathian tate le doaimangpa tate hong kilang na sia hi thu pan a hihi: a kuamapo thutanna a vawt ngawl peuma le a suapui a it ngawl te sia Pathian neisa a hi bua uh hi.
In this are the children of God knowen, and the children of the deuil: whosoeuer doeth not righteousnesse, is not of God, neither he that loueth not his brother.
11 Banghangziam cile hi thu vaithak sia a kipat pan na zak uh hi a, tua thu sia eite khat le khat ki it tu a hihi.
For this is the message, that ye heard from the beginning, that we should loue one another,
12 A nau a that mi ngilo Cain bang hi heak vun. Banghang in a nau that ziam? A nasepna te pha ngawl a, a nau i sep te a thuman hang a hihi.
Not as Cain which was of that wicked one, and slewe his brother: and wherefore slewe he him? because his owne workes were euill, and his brothers good.
13 Suapui te awng, leitung mite in hong ensan le lamdangsa heak vun.
Marueile not, my brethren, though this world hate you.
14 Eite thina pan in nuntakna ah i kantan zo hi, ci sia i suapui te i it nataw i he hi. Suapui a it ngawl peuma sia thina sung ah omlai hi.
We know that we are translated from death vnto life, because we loue the brethren: he that loueth not his brother, abideth in death.
15 Akua mapo a suapui a ensan peuma tualthat a hihi: taciang tualthat te sung ah tawntung nuntakna om ngawl hi, ci na he uh hi. (aiōnios g166)
Whosoeuer hateth his brother, is a manslayer: and ye know that no manslayer hath eternall life abiding in him. (aiōnios g166)
16 Christ in eite atu a nuntakna hongpiak hu in Pathian itna i he hi: taciang eite zong i suapui te atu in i nuntakna i piak tu a hihi.
Hereby haue we perceiued loue, that he layde downe his life for vs: therefore we ought also to lay downe our liues for the brethren.
17 Ahihang a kuamapo leitung nate nei a, a suapui pa in kisapna nei hi, ci mu nginge napi hesuakna a nei bale, bangbang in ama sung ah Pathian itna om thei tu ziam?
And whosoeuer hath this worlds good, and seeth his brother haue neede, and shutteth vp his compassion from him, howe dwelleth the loue of God in him?
18 Ka tano te awng, kam le leii bek hi ngawl in; sepna le thuman taw ki it tawng.
My litle children, let vs not loue in worde, neither in tongue onely, but in deede and in trueth.
19 Tabang in i ki it le eite thuman taw i kizopna i he hi, taciang Pathian mai ah i thin hong kho tu hi.
For thereby we know that we are of the trueth, and shall before him assure our hearts.
20 Banghangziam cile i thinsung in hong mawsak le, Pathian sia i thinsung sang in lianzaw a, na theampo he hi.
For if our heart condemne vs, God is greater then our heart, and knoweth all things.
21 Ka it te awng, eite i thinsung in hong mawsak bua ahile, Pathian sang ah thinmuanna i nei hi.
Beloued, if our heart condemne vs not, then haue we boldnes toward God.
22 Taciang bangpo i ngen zong in, Pathian tung pan in i nga hi, banghangziam cile a thupiak te i zui hu le Ama mai ah a lungkim nate i sep hang a hihi.
And whatsoeuer we aske we receiue of him, because we keepe his commandements, and do those things which are pleasing in his sight.
23 Pathian thupiak sia, a Tapa Jesus Christ min up tu le, Ama in thu hongpiaksa bang in khat le khat ki it tu thu a hihi.
This is then his commandement, That we beleeue in the Name of his Sonne Iesus Christ, and loue one another as hee gaue commandement.
24 Pathian thupiak te a keamcing peuma sia Ama sung ah om a, ama zong Pathian sung ah om hi. Pathian i hongpiak Thaa hang in, eite sung ah Ama hong om hi, ci i he hi.
For hee that keepeth his commandements, dwelleth in him, and he in him: and hereby we knowe that hee abideth in vs, euen by that Spirit which he hath giuen vs.
