1 Corinth 10
1 Tuabek domngawl in, suapui te awng, i pu le pa te theampo bangbang in mei ngo nuai ah om, ci le a vekpi in tuipi sung ah a pai na uh thu he ngawl in na om tu uh ka dei bua hi;
Moreouer, brethren, I woulde not that yee shoulde bee ignorant, that all our fathers were vnder that cloude, and all passed through that sea,
2 Taciang amate theampo in mei ngo le tuipi sung ah Moses tung pan tuiphumna la uh hi;
And were all baptized vnto Moses, in that cloude, and in that sea,
3 Taciang thaa an a kibang tek ne uh hi;
And did all eat the same spiritual meat,
4 Amate theampo in thaa tui a kibang tek in dawn uh hi: banghangziam cile amate a zui thaa Suangpi pan in a phul tui dawn uh hi: tua Suangpi sia Christ a hihi.
And did all drinke the same spirituall drinke (for they dranke of the spiritual Rocke that folowed them: and the Rocke was Christ)
5 Ahihang amate sung mi tampi tung ah Pathian lungkim ngawl hi: tua ahikom amate sia senneal ngam sung ah thi siat uh hi.
But with many of them God was not pleased: for they were ouerthrowen in ye wildernes.
6 Tu in amate in na pha ngawl te a deileilam uh bang in eite i dei ngawl natu in, hi thu te i ette tu a hihi.
Nowe these things are our ensamples, to the intent that we should not lust after euil things as they also lusted.
7 Amate sung ah pawlkhat te in milim a biak uh bang in, note in na bia peuma heak vun; mite sia ne tu le dawn tu in to khawm uh a, laam tu in ding tu uh hi, ci a ki atkholsal om hi.
Neither bee ye idolaters as were some of them, as it is written, The people sate downe to eate and drinke, and rose vp to play.
8 Amate sung ah pawlkhat te in paktatna vawt uh a, ni khat sung in then ni le tul thum a thi uh bang in, eite paktat mawna vawt ba tawng.
Neither let vs commit fornication, as some of them committed fornication, and fell in one day three and twentie thousand.
9 Amate sung ah pawlkhat te in Pathian ze-et uh a, ngul te in a siatsua uh bang in, eite Christ i ze-et batu hi.
Neither let vs tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted him, and were destroyed of serpents.
10 Amate sung ah pawlkhat te phun uh a, a siatsua thei pa in a siatsua bang in, note phun heak vun.
Neither murmure ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.
11 Tu in hi thu theampo amate tung ah a piang te i ette tu a hihi: taciang amate tung ah leitung bo na a thet nate zong eite danpiak natu in a ki at a hihi. (aiōn g165)
Nowe all these things came vnto them for ensamples, and were written to admonish vs, vpon whome the endes of the world are come. (aiōn g165)
12 Tua ahikom mi khat in, ka ding hi, ci a ngaisun le a pu ngawl natu in kidawm tahen.
Wherefore, let him that thinketh he standeth, take heede lest he fall.
13 Ze-etna na thuak na uh sia note bek in a thuak na hi bua uh hi, ahihang mihing tung ah a kibangtek in a theng a hihi: Pathian sia thuman a, na thuak zawk ngawl tu uh ze-etna hong thet tu hong oai ngawl tu hi; ahihang ze-etna taw na suatak natu uh lampi hong vawtsak tu a, tabang in note in na thuakzo tu uh hi.
There hath no tentation taken you, but such as appertaine to man: and God is faithfull, which will not suffer you to be tempted aboue that you be able, but wil euen giue the issue with the tentation, that ye may be able to beare it.
14 Tua ahikom ka it te awng, milim biakna pan in tai vun.
Wherefore my beloued, flee from idolatrie.
15 Mipil te tung ah thuson bang in kong son hi; ka son thu te noma in thukhen vun.
I speake as vnto them which haue vnderstanding: iugde ye what I say.
16 Thupha kong piakna uh hai sia Christ thisan ki pawlkhopna hi ngawl ziam? Ka balnen uh anluum sia Christ pumpi ki pawlkhopna hi ngawl ziam?
The cup of blessing which we blesse, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we breake, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?
17 Banghangziam cile eite sia tam mama pha hi napi, anluum khat le pumpi khat i hihi: banghangziam cile tua anluum lumkhat sia i vekpi in i hawm tek hi.
For we that are many, are one bread and one body, because we all are partakers of one bread.
18 Israel mite sia cilesa ngeina bang in en vun: amate sia biaktau tung ah biakpiakna te a ne te hi ngawl ziam?
Beholde Israel, which is after the flesh: are not they which eate of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?
19 Tabang ahile bang ci nuam khi ziam? tua milim sia na khatpo, a hibale milim te tung ah biakpiakna sia na khatpo a hi ziam?
What say I then? that the idole is any thing? or that that which is sacrificed to idoles, is any thing?
20 Ahihang, Gentile mite i biakpiakna nate sia doai te tung ah biakpia hi a, Pathian tung hi ngawl hi: taciang note in doai te taw kipawlna na nei tu uh ka dei bua hi.
Nay, but that these things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to deuils, and not vnto God: and I would not that ye should haue fellowship with the deuils.
21 Pathian hai le doai te hai na dawn khawm thei batu uh hi: Topa sabuai le doai te sabuai zong na zangkhawm thei batu uh hi.
Ye can not drinke the cup of the Lord, and the cup of the deuils. Ye can not be partakers of the Lords table, and of the table of the deuils.
22 Pathian i hong thum tu in thin-uksak tu hi ziam? Ama sang in hat zaw i hi ziam?
Doe we prouoke the Lord to anger? are we stronger then he?
23 Na theampo ka seam le zong phamaw ngawl hi, ahihang na theampo sia phattuamna om ngawl hi: na theampo ka vawt le phamaw ngawl hi, ahihang na theampo in hong khangtosak ngawl hi.
All things are lawfull for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawfull for me, but all things edifie not.
24 Kuama in ama atu bek zong heak tahen, ahihang mi khatsim in ngualdang hau na zong ta uh hen.
Let no man seeke his owne, but euery man anothers wealth.
25 A sia le a pha heakna taw in sumbuk ah a ki zuak theampo dong ngawl in ne lel vun:
Whatsoeuer is solde in the shambles, eate ye, and aske no question for conscience sake.
26 Banghangziam cile leitung le a sung a om theampo a nei sia Topa a hihi.
For the earth is the Lords, and all that therein is.
27 Thu um ngawl khat in anne tu in hong sam in, pai na sawm le na mai ah hong kilui po ne in, ki thasunna taw bangma dok kul ngawl hi.
If any of them which beleeue not, call you to a feast, and if ye wil go, whatsoeuer is set before you, eate, asking no question for conscience sake.
28 Ahihang khatpo in, hisia milim tung ah biakpiakna in a kipia hi, hong cile, na sia le pha heakna le hong son tu ngaisun in ne heak vun, banghangziam cile leitung le a sung a om theampo a nei sia Topa a hihi:
But if any man say vnto you, This is sacrificed vnto idoles, eate it not, because of him that shewed it, and for the conscience (for the earth is the Lords, and all that therein is)
29 A sia le a pha heakna ka ci ciang in, nangma i sia le pha heakna hi ngawl a, ngualdang i sia le pha heakna a hihi: banghangziam cile ngualdang khat i sia le pha heakna in keima ngaisutna banghang thu hong khen tu ziam?
And the conscience, I say, not thine, but of that other: for why should my libertie be condemned of another mans conscience?
30 Banghangziam cile hesuakna tungtawn in lungdamko in a ne ka hile, banghang a pha ngawl in hong kison tu ziam?
For if I through Gods benefite be partaker, why am I euill spoken of, for that wherefore I giue thankes?
31 Tua ahikom na ne uh a hi a, na dawn uh ahizong, bangpo na vawt uh zong, Pathian minthanna tu ngaisun in vawt tavun.
Whether therefore ye eate, or drinke, or whatsoeuer ye doe, doe all to the glory of God.
32 Judah mi ahizong, Gentile mi ahizong, Pathian pawlpi ahizong puksak heak vun:
Giue none offence, neither to the Iewes, nor to the Grecians, nor to the Church of God:
33 Mi tampi ngupna nga a, a phattuam pui thei natu uh in keima phattuamna zong ngawl in mi theampo sia na theampo sung ah lungkimsak khi hi.
Euen as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine owne profite, but the profite of many, that they might be saued.
