1 Khawsa tyihzawih na awm nawh Khawsa ing ak tyh thlangkhqi ak cangnaak ingkaw Khawsa ak kawngaih benna ak sawikung awitak cyihnaak –
Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness;
2 Kumqui hqingnaak ngaih-unaak awh ak dyi cangnaak ingkaw cyihnaak, qaai amak kqawn Khawsa ing a tym amik kqan hlan awhkawng awi a taak amyihna, (aiōnios g166)
In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; (aiōnios g166)
3 amah ing a tym hoep nawh a taak amyihna ningnih hulkung Khawsa ak awipeeknaak amyihna ak awi ce vangnaak ak khuina ak haw law kung amah ak awipeek amyihna ak awi ak khypyikung kai Paul ing,
But has in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed to me according to the commandment of God our Savior;
4 Cangnaak awh ka capa Tita a venawh: Pa Khawsa ingkaw ningnih hulkung Jesu Khrih a ven awhkaw qeennaak ingkaw ngaihqepnaak awm seh.
To Titus, my own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior.
5 Krete sanglak anglak na ka ni ceh taaknaak taw ni hu awh ak coeng kaana ka cehtaak bibi coeng aham ingkaw awi ka peek hawh amyihna khaw boeih awh a hqamca taak peek aham ni.
For this cause left I you in Crete, that you should set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed you:
6 A hqamca taw coet amak awm thlang, a zu pynoet doeng ak ta, a cakhqi ing amik cangnaak ak thlang ingkaw awi am ngai nawh a awm a hqoh a dawngawh thlang a haiawh toelna amak awm ak thlangkhqi na ami awm aham awm hy.
If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly.
7 Thlangboel khoemkung taw Khawsa bibi ak khoemkung na a awm a dawngawh, coet kawina amak awm ak thlang na a awm aham awm hy- amah ak kawngaih doeng ak ngaih ak thlang na am awm kaw, am thin amak tawi, zu amak aw, hqo ang hqit amak ngaih, amak thym ik-oeih huh amak ngaih thlang na a awm aham awm hy.
For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not self-willed, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;
8 Khin ak khai ak toek thai, ik-oeih leek ak lungnaak, yh thainaak kawlung ak ta, kawpoek ak dyng, ak ciim ingkaw a khawboe ak leek thlang na awm kaw.
But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate;
9 Cawngsaknaak amyihna ypawm kawi awihcak ce ak tu ak thlang na awm kaw, cawh ni cangnaak thym ing thlakchang ce tha pe thai nawh ak oelhkhqi ce a hlat hly khqi thai.
Holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the disputers.
10 Ikawtih, cem a qaal na ak tho thlang khawzah awm hy, am lai ak haalkhqi ingkaw thlang ak thainaak khqi na awm uhy, chahhui ak qeetkhqi ce cemyihna awm khqoet uhy.
For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision:
11 Cemyih thlangkhqi ce ami awm dym aham awm hy, ama mi cawngpyi hly kawi ce cawngpyi unawh ipkhuikaw thlang boeih qawk sak uhy - amak thym ik-oeih huhnaak aham cemyihna sai uhy.
Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they should not, for filthy lucre’s sake.
12 A mingmih ak khui awhkaw tawngha pynoet ingawm vemyihna kqawn hy, “Krete thlangkhqi taw qaai ak kqawn thlangkhqi na awm uhy, thlak che cakhqi, thakdam cakhqi na awm uhy,” tinawh.
One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians are always liars, evil beasts, slow bellies.
13 Vawhkaw awih kqawn ve thym hy. Cedawngawh cekkhqi ce khawteh na toel lah, cawh ni cangnaak awh ak thym na a ming dyih hly.
This witness is true. Why rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;
14 Judahkhqi a syn awi mailai ing awitak ak oelh thlangkhqi ak awi ce koeh ngai law pe uh.
Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.
15 Ak ciim thlangkhqi ham nataw, ik-oeih boeih caih hy, cehlai ak qawk thlangkhqi ingkaw amak cangnaak thlangkhqi ham ikaw awm am caih hy. Ak cang cang awhtaw, amik kawlungkhqi ing amik kawpoekkhqi boeih awm qawk kang hawh hy.
To the pure all things are pure: but to them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
16 Khawsa sim nyng ti lawt hlai uhy, a ik-oeih sai ingtaw oelh qu noe noe bai hy. Ce mihkhqi ce tyih ak cu khqi ni, haa amak za thlangkhqi ing ik-oeih leek sai aham amak kawih thlangkhqi ni.
They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and to every good work reprobate.
