< Saam 109 >
1 Kai ing kam kyih, Aw Khawsa, awi myhna koeh awm hqoeng,
TO THE OVERSEER. A PSALM OF DAVID. O God of my praise, do not be silent,
2 kawtih thlakchekhqi ingkaw thlak thaikhqi ing amim kha ni ang sih khqi nawh; ami qaai ce kqawn uhy.
For the mouth of wickedness, and the mouth of deceit, They have opened against me, They have spoken with me—A tongue of falsehood, and words of hatred!
3 Sawhnaak awi ing nik chung khqi nawh, akawng a awm kaana ni tuk khqi hy.
They have surrounded me about, And they fight me without cause.
For my love they oppose me, and I—prayer!
5 A leek ce ak che ing thung law unawh, pyi na ka taaknaak cesawhnaak ing thung law uhy.
And they set against me evil for good, And hatred for my love.
Appoint the wicked over him, And an adversary stands at his right hand.
7 Awideng na a awm awh, dawk lo seitaw, ak cykcahnaak ing dawk sak seh.
In his being judged, he goes forth wicked, And his prayer is for sin.
His days are few, another takes his oversight,
9 A cakhqi cadah na awm u seitaw a zukhqi nuhai na awm u seh.
His sons are fatherless, and his wife a widow.
10 A cakhqi ing kut dun doena van u seitaw; a imqawk awhkawng hqek na awm u seh.
And his sons wander continually, Indeed, they have begged, And have sought out of their dry places.
An exactor lays a snare for all that he has, And strangers spoil his labor.
12 U ingawm koeh qeen seitaw pa amak ta naasenkhqi awm koeh qeen u seh.
He has none to extend kindness, Nor is there one showing favor to his orphans.
13 A cadil naa ce law boet seitaw, ak law hly kawi chawn awhkaw ming khui awhkawng qeng u seh.
His posterity is for cutting off, Their name is blotted out in another generation.
14 Ami pakhqi thawlhnaak ce Bawipa hai awh sim loet na awm seitaw ami nu a thawlhnaak ce koeh qeng voel seh.
The iniquity of his fathers Is remembered to YHWH, And the sin of his mother is not blotted out.
15 Cekkhqi sim loetnaak ce khawmdek awh a law boetnaak aham a mingmih a thawlhnaak ce Bawipa haiawh awm loet seh.
They are continually before YHWH, And He cuts off their memorial from earth.
16 Ikawtih qeennaak tive poek awm ap poek qoe qoe hy, khawdeng ak voet hlauhkhqi ingkaw kawlung ak kqekkhqi ce him aham hqut hy.
Because that he has not remembered to do kindness, And pursues the poor man and needy, And the struck of heart—to slay,
17 Lihoei ce lungna hy – amah ak khan awh tla tloep seh; thlang a zoseennaak awh ak kaw am law hy – zoseennaak ce anih a venawh kawng ak hla na awm lawt seh.
And he loves reviling, and it meets him, And he has not delighted in blessing, And it is far from him.
18 Lihoei ce hi na bai nawh; a pum khuiawh tui amyihna kun pehy.
And he puts on reviling as his robe, And it comes in as water into his midst, And as oil into his bones.
19 Ce ing angki amyihna zawl khak seitaw cawi pinnaak amyihna kumqui dy pin seh.
It is to him as apparel—he covers himself, And he girds it on for a continual girdle.
This [is] the wage of my accusers from YHWH, And of those speaking evil against my soul.
And You, O Lord YHWH, Deal with me for Your Name’s sake, Because Your kindness [is] good, deliver me.
22 Khawdeng ingkaw voethlauh thlang na awm nyng saw, kak kawk khuiawh ak lingbyi ing ngawha ai hy.
For I [am] poor and needy, And my heart has been pierced in my midst.
23 Khawmy ben awhkaw khawngkawn amyihna nung thoeih hawh nyng saw; khamkhawk amyihna tlai let let nyng.
I have gone as a shadow when it is stretched out, I have been driven away as a locust.
24 Buh ka hyhnaak awh kam khawkhlu qawi am cak voel hy; kang sak boeih qep qep nawh a tankqat na awm hqoeng nyng.
My knees have been feeble from fasting, And my flesh has failed of fatness.
25 Thawlh anik puk khqi ak kqawnseet aham awm kqoeng nyng saw; a mini huh awh ami lu hil uhy.
And I have been a reproach to them, They see me, they shake their head.
Help me, O YHWH my God, Save me, according to Your kindness.
And they know that this [is] Your hand, You, O YHWH, You have done it.
28 Cekkhqi ing khawseet hly hlai uhy, nang ingtaw zoseen pe hyk ti; cekkhqi ing ami tuk awh chah phyi kawm uh, cehlai nang a tyihzawih taw zeel kaw.
They revile, and You bless, They have risen, and are ashamed, And Your servant rejoices.
29 Kai thawlh anik puk khqi taw ming seetnaak ce hi amyihna bai kawm u saw chahnaak ing angki amyihna zawl qu khoep kawm uh.
My accusers put on blushing, and are covered, Their shame [is] as an upper robe.
30 Kam kha ing Bawipa ce khawzah na zoeksang kawng nyng saw; thlang kqeng khawzah anglakawh amah kyihcah kawng nyng.
I thank YHWH greatly with my mouth, And I praise Him in the midst of many,
31 Ikawtih anik palh sak khqi a venawh kawng anih a hqingnaak ce hul peek aham anih taw ak voethlauhkhqi ak tang ben awh dyi hy.
For He stands at the right hand of the needy, To save from those judging his soul.
