1 Aw Bawipa, kak cykcahnaak awi ve ngai law lah; bawm aham kang kqang awi ve na ven pha seh.
The prayer: for a weary and suffering person who pours out their grief to the Lord. Hear my prayer, O Lord; let my cry for help come to you.
2 Ka khuikha awh ve na haai koeh thuh. Kai benna nang haa keng law nawhtaw; ka nik khy awh ang tawnna nim hlat lah.
Hide not your face from me in the day of my distress. Incline your ear to me: when I call, answer me speedily.
3 Ka hqing khui khawnghikhqi ve maikhu amyihna ding bang nawh; ka quhkhqi ve maialh amyihna alh hy.
For my days pass away like smoke: my bones are burned through as with fire.
4 Kak kawlung ve koh aai nawh qam amyihna reu hy; buh ai aham awm hilh qu hawh nyng.
My heart is scorched, withered like grass; I forget to eat my bread.
5 Kang ko awh ka quh ingkaw ka vyn hqawng ni ak awm hqoeng hawh.
By reason of my loud groaning, my flesh clings to my bones.
6 Qamkoh awhkaw bukbu amyihna ngawi hqoeng nyng saw, ak plawci anglakawhkaw bukbu amyihna awm hqoeng nyng.
Like a desert-owl of the wilderness, like an owl among ruins am I.
7 Ihmyh lonai na awm nyng saw; iptih khanna amah doeng ak ngawi hqoeng pha amyihna awm nyng.
I make my sleepless lament like a bird on the house-top alone.
8 Khawnghi zung ka qaalkhqi ing nik kqawnset unawh, kai anik huhqytkhqi ing kang ming ve kqawn setnaak na hawna uhy.
All the day wild foes revile me, using my name for a curse.
9 Maivytkhqi ce buh na ai nyng saw ka awk hly kawi awm mikphli tuikhqi ing kqit uhy,
For ashes have been my bread, and tears have been mixed with my cup.
10 nak kaw a so aih awh, ni lo hqoet nawh nik khawng hyk ti.
Because of your passionate anger, you did raise me, then hurl me to the ground.
11 Ka hqingnaak khawnghikhqi ve khawmy benna kaw khawngkawn amyihna awm nawh; qam amyihna reu hy.
My days come to an end, shadows lengthen, I wither like grass.
12 Cehlai, Bawipa, nang taw kumqui dy boei ngawihdoelh awh ngawi hyk ti; nang ming awm cadil naa dyna cak hy.
But you, O Lord, are enthroned forever, your fame endures to all generations.
13 Nang tho kawm tiksaw Zion ce qeen kawp ti, anih a venawh zeelnaak tym qoe hawh ni; a tym a taak ce pha law hawh hy.
You will arise and have pity on Zion; it’s time to be gracious; her hour has come.
14 Na ceityihkhqi ing anih a lung ce lungna unawh; a dekvai ing cekkhqi ce am thin tlawh sak hy.
For even her stones are dear to your servants, even the dust of her ruins they look on with love.
15 Phynlumkhqi ing Bawipang ming kqih kawm usaw, khawmdek awhkaw sangpahrangkhqi boeih ing na boeimangnaak ce kqihchah kawm uh.
Then the nations will revere the name of the Lord and all the kings of the earth his glory,
16 Ikawtih Bawipa ing Zion ce sa tlaih kawmsaw a boeimangnaak ing dang tlaih kaw.
when the Lord shall have built up Zion, and revealed himself in his glory,
17 Khawdeng ak voethlauhkhqi ak cykcahnaak ce hlat pe kaw; cekkhqi a qeen thoehnaak ce am huhsit pek khqi tikaw.
in response to the prayer of the destitute, whose prayer he will not despise.
18 Ve ve ak law hly kawi cadil naakhqi ham qee na awm seh; saina ak awm hlankhqi ing Bawipa ce kyihcah na seh.
Let this be recorded for ages to come, that the Lord may be praised by a people yet unborn.
19 Bawipa ing a hun ciim sang soeih awhkawng nuk toek hy, khan nakawng khawmdek ve nuk toek hy,
For he shall look down from his holy height, from the heavens the Lord will gaze on the earth,
20 thawng ak tlakhqi a ko kqangnaak awi ce ngai peek aham ingkaw thih aham ami palh sak thlangkhqi ce loet sak aham.”
to hear the groans of the prisoner, to free those who are doomed to die;
21 Bawipang ming ce Zion awh kqawn na awm kawmsaw am kyihnaak ce Jerusalem awh awm kaw,
that people may recount the Lord’s fame in Zion, and the praise of him in Jerusalem,
22 thlangkhqi ingkaw qamkhqi ing Bawipa bawk aham cawn kawm uh.
when the nations are gathered together, and the kingdoms, to worship the Lord.
23 Khaw ka sak pyngthym mai awh kak tha ni boek pe nawh; ka hqinglung ni tawi pe sak hy.
He has broken my strength on the way, he has shortened my days.
24 Cedawngawh kai ing, Aw ka Khawsa, ka hqing huili awh koeh ni lo valh; nang a kumkhqi taw cadil naa dyna ak awm ni.
I will say, “My God, take me not hence in the midst of my days. “Your years endure age after age.
25 Ak cykca awh nang ing khawmdek pengnelhnaak sai tiksaw, khankhqi ce na kut ing sai na awm hy.
Of old you have founded the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.
26 Ceekhqi taw qeng hlai voei uh, nang taw awm poe kawp ti; cekkhqi taw hi amyihna se kawm uh. Bainaak amyihna thaw kawm tiksaw lawha boeih kaw.
They shall perish; but you do stand. They shall all wax old like a garment, and change as a robe you will change them.
27 Cehlai nang taw amah toeng na awm poe kawp ti, nang a kumkhqi ingtaw a dytnaak awm am ti kaw.
But you are the same, your years are endless.
28 A tyihzawihkhqi a cakhqi ce na haiawh awm kawm usaw; a cadilkhqi awm na haiawh cak poe hawh kawm uh.”
The children of your servants abide, evermore shall their seed be before you.”
