< Filemon 1 >
1 Jesu Khrih a thawk tla Paul ingkaw ningnih a naa Timote ing, Ka lungnaak pyi ingkaw bibi pyikung Filemon ingkaw,
Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy, a brother: to Philemon, our beloved and fellow labourer;
2 Kaimih a koei nu Apphia, qalkap pyi Arkhipa ingkaw na im awh a mik cun thlangboel a venawh:
And to Appia, our dearest sister, and to Archippus, our fellow soldier, and to the church which is in thy house:
3 Bawipa Jesu Khrih ingkaw Pa Khawsa venawh kaw qeennaak ingkaw ngaihdingnaak awm seh.
Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
4 Kak cykcah awh nang aham Khawsa venawh zeelnaak awi kqawn poepa nyng,
I give thanks to my God, always making a remembrance of thee in my prayers.
5 Bawipa Jesu awh cangnaak na taaknaak ingkaw thlakciimkhqi na lungnaak dawngawh zeelnaak awi kqawn nyng.
Hearing of thy charity and faith, which thou hast in the Lord Jesus, and towards all the saints:
6 Thlang a venawh nak cangnaak ce nak kqawn awh nak tha a hly naak aham cykcah nyng, cawh ni Khrih awh ik-oeih leek ni tahy tice zaksim caihnaak na taak hly thai hy.
That the communication of thy faith may be made evident in the acknowledgment of every good work, that is in you in Christ Jesus.
7 Nang, naa pa ing thlak ciimkhqi ak kawlung ce na caih sak peng a dawngawh, nang a lungnaak ing ni zeel sak nawh tha ni awm sak hy.
For I have had great joy and consolation in thy charity, because the bowels of the saints have been refreshed by thee, brother.
8 Cedawngawh, Khrih awh ka qaal leek nawh nang ing na sai hly kawi ik-oeih ce sai aham awi ni pe thai nyng seiawm,
Wherefore though I have much confidence in Christ Jesus, to command thee that which is to the purpose:
9 lungnaak awh nang a venawh qeennaak thoeh law nyng. Cedawngawh, kai Paul, pacawng ingkaw Jesu Khrih awh thawng ak tla ing,
For charity sake I rather beseech, whereas thou art such a one, as Paul an old man, and now a prisoner also of Jesus Christ.
10 ka capa Onesima aham qeennaak thoeh law nyng, thiqui ing khih na ka awm awh anih ce ka capa na coeng hy.
I beseech thee for my son, whom I have begotten in my bands, Onesimus,
11 Ak cyk awhtaw anih ve nang aham a hawihkhangnaak am awm hy, cehlai tuh awhtaw nang ingkaw kai aham hawihkhangnaak awm hawh hy.
Who hath been heretofore unprofitable to thee, but now is profitable both to me and thee,
12 Anih, kak kawlung tang tang ve, na venna tyi law tlaih nyng.
Whom I have sent back to thee. And do thou receive him as my own bowels.
13 Awithang leek awh thiqui ing khih na ka awm awh kai anik bawm aham, ka venawh awm sak aham ngaih mai kawng nyng.
Whom I would have retained with me, that in thy stead he might have ministered to me in the bands of the gospel:
14 Cehlai nang ing na nim lengnaak ve namah ak tha hlynaak ing sai na a awm nawh sai sak ngah ngah amyihna ama awmnaak aham nang ang haa tlaaknaak kaana taw ikaw awm sai aham am ngaih nyng.
But without thy counsel I would do nothing: that thy good deed might not be as it were of necessity, but voluntary.
15 Nang a venawh kawng kawlhkalh a pleng qunaak ve nang ing ak nep na na taaknaak tlaih aham va ni hy voei – (aiōnios )
For perhaps he therefore departed for a season from thee, that thou mightest receive him again for ever: (aiōnios )
16 tamnaa na taak voel kaana, tamnaa anglakawh ak nep khqoet, naa amyihna na taak thainaak aham ngaih nyng. Kai ing lungna nyng, cehlai pumsa ingkaw Bawipa awh nang ing lungnak khqoet hyk ti.
Not now as a servant, but instead of a servant, a most dear brother, especially to me: but how much more to thee both in the flesh and in the Lord?
17 Kai ve nang ing bi ak bi haih ak thlang na na nik poek awhtaw, kai nani do amyihna anih awm do law lawt.
If therefore thou count me a partner, receive him as myself.
18 Nang a venawh ik-oeih a sai thawlh aw laiba sah hly kawi aw a taak awhtaw, kai a venawh kqawn law mai.
And if he hath wronged thee in any thing, or is in thy debt, put that to my account.
19 Kai, Paul ing kamah a kut qoe qoe ing ve ak ca ve qee law nyng. Namah qoe qoe ka venawh peek qu aham awm hyk ti ti kqawn kaana, kai ing ni pe tlaih bit kawng.
I Paul have written it with my own hand: I will repay it: not to say to thee, that thou owest me thy own self also.
20 Ka naa, Bawipa awh ce nang a venawh kawng hawihkhang naak ka huh thainaak aham ngaih nyng; Khrih awh kak kawlung ve caih law sak lah.
Yea, brother. May I enjoy thee in the Lord. Refresh my bowels in the Lord.
21 Nang ak awi ngainaak ce kak cangnaak dawngawh, kai ing ka thoeh law anglakawh khawzah khqoet sai law kawp ti tice sim doena, na venawh ca qee law nyng.
Trusting in thy obedience, I have written to thee: knowing that thou wilt also do more than I say.
22 Ik-oeih pynoet awm hyn hy: kai aham pahnaak ce qoek abah law lah, nang ak cykcahnaak qawi a qi na awm kawmsaw na venawh awm kawng tinawh poek nyng.
But withal prepare me also a lodging. For I hope that through your prayers I shall be given unto you.
23 Jesu Khrih awh thawng kang tlaak pyi Epafra ing kut nim tuk khqi hy.
There salute thee Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Christ Jesus;
24 Cemyih lawtna ka bibi pyikhqi, Marka, Aristarka, Dema ingkaw Luka ingawm kut nim tuk khqi hy.
Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, and Luke my fellow labourers.
25 Bawipa Jesu Khrih am qeennaak ce nang myihla awh awm seh.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
