< Johan 6 >

1 Cekcoengawh, Jesu ing Kalili tuili caqai ben (Tiberia tuili ami ti) na ce cet hy.
After these things, Yeshua [Salvation] went away to the other side of the sea of Galilee [District, Circuit], which is also called the Sea of Tiberias.
2 Thlaktlo ak khanawh kawpoek kyi hatnaak a sai ce ami huh awh thlang kqeng ing a hu awh hquut uhy.
A great multitude followed him, because they saw his signs which he did on those who were sick.
3 Cawh Jesu taw tlang na van nawh a hubatkhqi mi ngawi uhy.
Yeshua [Salvation] went up into the mountain, and he sat there with his disciples.
4 Judahkhqi a cehtaak Poei taw zoe hawh hy.
Now the Judean [Person from Praise] festival of Pesac ·Passover· was at hand.
5 Thlang kqeng a venna ak law ce Jesu ing a huh awh, Philip a venawh, “Vawhkaw thlang kqeng ing ami ai aham hana kaw phaihpi nu nik thlaih peek lah voei?” tina hy.
Yeshua [Salvation] therefore lifting up his eyes, and seeing that a great multitude was coming to him, said to Philip [Loves horses], “Where are we to buy matzah ·unleavened bread·, that these may eat?”
6 A sai hly kawi ce sim hawh hlai hy, a noek a daknaak na ve ak awi ve doet hy.
This he said to test him, for he himself knew what he would do.
7 Philip ing, “Hlak kqeet thaphu ing ve thlangkhqi aham phaihpi nik thlai seiawm khangoet qip awh ami ai aham za am khoek ti kaw!” tina hy.
Philip [Loves horses] answered him, “Two hundred denarii (200 days wages) worth of matzah ·unleavened bread· is not sufficient for them, that everyone of them may receive a little.”
8 A hubat thlakchang pynoet, Simon Piter a naa Andru ing vemyihna kqawn pehy.
One of his disciples, Andrew [Manly], Simeon Peter [Hearing Rock]’s brother, said to him,
9 “Vawh ve phaihpi cun nga ingkaw nga pakkhih ak ta naasen pynoet taw awm hlai hy, thlang ve zah aham taw vemyihkhqi ce kaw na am coeng hly hy?” tina hy.
“There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are these among so many?”
10 Jesu ing, “Thlangkhqi ce ngawih sak khqi,” tina hy. Ce a hun awh ce taitin awm nawh, ce ak khanawh thlang thongnga ce ngawi uhy.
Yeshua [Salvation] said, “Have the people sit down.” Now there was much grass in that place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand.
11 Jesu ing phaihpi ce lo nawh zeelnaak awi ak kqawn coengawh, cawhkaw ak ngawikhqi venawh ami phyi khyk na pe uhy. Ceamyihna nga awm ami phyi naak dy tei bai uhy.
Yeshua [Salvation] took the loaves; and having given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to those who were sitting down; likewise also of the fish as much as they desired.
12 Thlang boeih ing ak phyi na ami ai coengawh, a hubatkhqi venawh, “Ami ai ngenkhqi ce cawi lah uh. Koeh baw koeh hqe sak uh,” tinak khqi hy.
When they were filled, he said to his disciples, “Gather up the broken pieces which are left over, that nothing be lost.”
13 Phaihpi ce ak phyi na ai unawh, ami ai ngen ce ami kawih awh vawh hqa hlaihih awh be hy.
So they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with broken pieces from the five barley loaves, which were left over by those who had eaten.
14 Cawhkaw kawpoek kyi hatnaak Jesu ing a sai ce thlangkhqi ing ami huh awh, “Ve ak thlang ve khawmdek awh ak law hly kawi tawngha tang tang ni,” ti uhy.
When therefore the people saw the sign which Yeshua [Salvation] did, they said, “This is truly the prophet who comes into the world.”
15 A mingmih ing law unawh amah ce Sangpahrang na sai ngah ngah kawm uh, tice Jesu ing a sim awh, tlang na amah doeng ceh taak khqi valh hy.
Yeshua [Salvation] therefore, perceiving that they were about to come and take him by force, to make him king, withdrew again to the mountain by himself.
16 Khaw a my law awhtaw, a hubat khqi ce tuili na nu cet uhy,
When evening came, his disciples went down to the sea,
17 Lawng awh ngawi unawh Kapernaum khaw na ce cet uhy. Khaw than hawh hlai hy, Jesu taw a mingmih a venna cet hlan hy.
and they entered into the boat, and were going over the sea to Capernaum [Village-Comfort, Village-Compassion]. It was now dark, and Yeshua [Salvation] had not come to them.
18 Cawh khaw hli khungdeng nawh tuilet tho hy.
The sea was tossed by a great wind blowing.
19 Meng thum am awhtaw meng thum hlai tluk lawng ce ami kaih coengawh, a mingmih a lawng a awmnaak benna tui awh a khaw ing cet nawh ak law Jesu ce hu uhy; cawh a mingmih ing kqih uhy.
When therefore they had rowed between twenty-five stadia [3.3 mi; 4.6 km] to thirty stadia [4 mi; 5.6 km] distance, they saw Yeshua [Salvation] walking on the sea, and drawing near to the boat; and they were afraid.
20 Cehlai a mingmih a venawh, “Kai ni; koeh kqih uh,” tinak khqi hy.
But he said to them, “Ena Na [I AM (the Living God)], don’t be afraid.”
21 A mingmih ing lawng khuina lut sak uhy, amah cawh aming cainaak hun ce pha uhy.
They were willing therefore to receive him into the boat. Immediately the boat was at the land where they were going.
22 A khawngawi awhtaw vang ben long caqai awh thlang kqeng ak dyikhqi ing, lawng pynoet doeng tikaa taw lawng ak chang am awm nawh, Jesu taw a hubatkhqi mi kutoet na lawng awh am cet haih unawh, a hubatkhqi amimah doeng ni ami ceh tice sim uhy.
On the next day, the multitude that stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was no other boat there, except the one in which his disciples had embarked, and that Yeshua [Salvation] hadn’t entered with his disciples into the boat, but his disciples had gone away alone.
23 Cekcoengawh Tiberia ben awhkaw lawng a vang ce Bawipa ing zeelnaak awi ak kqawn coengawh thlang kqeng ing phaihpi ami ainaak hun awh ce dym uhy.
However boats from Tiberias came near to the place where they ate the bread after the Lord had given thanks.
24 Jesu ingkaw a hubatkhqi cawh am awm voel uhy tice thlang kqeng ing ami sim awh, lawng khuina lut unawh Kapernaum benna ce Jesu ak sui na cet uhy.
When the multitude therefore saw that Yeshua [Salvation] was not there, nor his disciples, they themselves got into the boats, and came to Capernaum [Village-Comfort, Village-Compassion], seeking Yeshua [Salvation].
25 Tuili vang benna amah ce ami huh awh, doet uhy, “Cawngpyikung, ityk awh vena na pha?” tina uhy.
When they found him on the other side of the sea, they asked him, “Rabbi ·Teacher·, when did you come here?”
26 Jesu ing, “Awitak ka nik kqawn peek khqi, nangmih ing kai ni sui uhyk ti, kawpoek kyi hatnaakkhqi nami huh awh amni, phaihpi ak phyi na nami ai awh ni.
Yeshua [Salvation] answered them, “Most certainly I tell you, you seek me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate of the loaves, and were filled.
27 Thlanghqing Capa ing ani peek hly khqi kumqui hqingnaak buh huh aham bibi lah uh. Anih awh ce Pa Khawsa ing noeknaak deeng hawh hy,” tinak khqi hy. (aiōnios g166)
Don’t work for the food which perishes, but for the food which remains to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For God the Abba Father has sealed him.” (aiōnios g166)
28 Cekkhqi ing, “Khawsa ing a ngoe ikaw bi nu ka mi bi kaw?” tina uhy.
They said therefore to him, “What must we do, that we may work the works of God?”
29 Jesu ing, “Khawsa bibi taw veni: amah ing a tyih cangnaak ce,” tinak khqi hy.
Yeshua [Salvation] answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.”
30 Cedawngawh doet uhy, Hu unawh kamik cangnaak aham i ikawmyih ak kawpoek kyi hatnaak nu na nim huh khqi kaw? Ikaw na sai kaw?
They said therefore to him, “What then do you do for a sign, that we may see, and believe you? What work do you do?
31 Pakdamkhqi ing mana ce qamkoh awh ana ai uhy, ‘A mingmih ing ami ai aham khan nakawng phaihpi ce pek khqi hy,’ tinawh a qee amyihna, tina uhy.
Our fathers ate the manna ·what is it· in the wilderness. As it is written, ‘He gave them bread out of heaven to eat.’”
32 Jesu ing a mingmih a venawh, “Awitak ka nik kqawn peek khqi, khawk khan nakaw phaihpi nangmih anik pe khqikung ce Mosi amni, Ka pa ing ni khawk khan nakaw phaihpi tang tang ce nangmih ani peek khqi.
Yeshua [Salvation] therefore said to them, “Most certainly, I tell you, it was not Moses [Drawn out] who gave you the manna ·what is it· out of heaven, but 'Avi ·my Father· gives you the true manna ·what is it· out of heaven.
33 Khawsa a phaihpi taw khawmdek a venawh hqingnaak ak pekung khawk khan nakawng anuk law thlang ce ni,” tinak khqi hy.
For the manna of God is that which comes down out of heaven, and gives life to the world.”
34 A mingmih ing, “Bawipa, tuhkawng vawhkaw phaihpi ce ni pek khqi lah,” tina uhy.
They said therefore to him, “Lord, always give us this manna.”
35 Cawh Jesu ing, “Kai taw hqingnaak phaihpi na awm nyng. U awm ka venna ak law taw ak phoen am cawi kaw, kai anik cangnaak thlang taw ityk awm tui am ngaih voel kaw.
Yeshua [Salvation] said to them, “Ena Na [I AM (the Living God)], the bread of life. He who comes to me will not be hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.
36 Cehlai ka nik kqawn peek khqi hawh amyihna, kai ve ni hu hawh hlai uhyk ti, amnik cangna hlan bak bak uhyk ti.
But I told you that you have seen me, and yet you don’t believe.
37 Ka pa ing ani peekkhqi boeih boeih taw ka venna law kaw, u awm kai a venawh ak lawkhqi boeih taw am maa kawng nyng.
All those whom Abba ·Father· gives me will come to me. He who comes to me I will in no way throw out.

For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me.

This is the will of 'Avi ·my Father· who sent me, that of all he has given to me I should lose nothing, but should raise him up at the last day.
40 Kapa ak kawngaih taw, u awm Capa ce ak toekkhqi boeih ing cangna unawh kumqui hqingnaak a taaknaak ham ingkaw, khawnghi a dyt awh kai ing ka thawh sak tlaih ham ce ni,” tinak khqi hy. (aiōnios g166)
This is the will of the one who sent me, that everyone who sees the Son, and believes in him, should have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.” (aiōnios g166)
41 “Kai taw khawk khan nakawng ak law phaihpi na awm nyng,” a ti dawngawh Judahkhqi ce sai bi uhy.
The Jews [Praisers] therefore murmured concerning him, because he said, “I am the bread which came down out of heaven.”
42 A mingmih ing, “Ve ve Joseph a capa Jesu am nu ve?” A pa ingkaw a nu awm ni sim u saw kaw. Ikawmyihna, “Khawk khan nakaw ka nuk law,” a ti hy voei,” ti uhy.
They said, “Is not this Yeshua [Salvation], the son of Joseph [May he add], whose father and mother we know? How then does he say, ‘I have come down out of heaven?’”
43 Jesu ing, “Koeh sai bi voel uh.
Therefore Yeshua [Salvation] answered them, “Don’t murmur among yourselves.
44 Kai anik tyikung Pa ing ama ceh sak awhtaw u awm kai a venna am law thai kaw, anih ce khawnghi a dyt awh kai ing thawh tlaih kawng nyng.
No one can come to me unless Abba Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up in the last day.
45 Tawnghakhqi cauk awh, ‘A mingmih boeih ce Khawsa ing cawngpyi kaw, tinawh awm hy. A u awm Pa ak awi ce ngai nawh anih a venawh ak cawng taw kai a venawh law hy.
It is written in the prophets, ‘They will all be taught by Adonai.’ Therefore everyone who hears from haAbba ·the Father·, and has learned, comes to me.
46 Khawsa venawh kawng ak law doeng am kaa ingtaw u ingawm Pa ce hu hlan hy; anih doeng ing ni Pa ce a huh hy.
Not that anyone has seen Abba Father, except he who is from God. He has seen Abba Father.
47 Awitak ka nik kqawn peek khqi, u awm ak cangnaak ingtaw kumqui hqingnaak ce ta hawh hy. (aiōnios g166)
Most certainly, I tell you, he who believes in me has eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
48 Kai taw hqingnaak phaihpi na awm nyng.
Ena Na [I AM (the Living God)], the bread of life.
49 Nami pakhqi ing qamkoh awh mana ce ai uhy, cehlai thi uhy.
Your fathers ate the manna ·what is it· in the wilderness, and they died.
50 Cehlai khawk khan nakawng anuk law phaihpi ce vawh awm hy; ce ce u ingawm a ai awhtaw am thi kaw.
This is the bread which comes down out of heaven, that anyone may eat of it and not die.
51 Kai taw khawk khan nakawng anuk law hqingnaak phaihpi na awm nyng. U ingawm vawhkaw phaihpi ve a ai awhtaw, kumqui dyna hqing kaw. Cawhkaw phaihpi cetaw, khawmdek ing hqingnaak a taaknaak aham ka peek hly kawi ka sa veni,” tinak khqi hy. (aiōn g165)
Ena Na [I AM (the Living God)], the living manna ·what is it· which came down out of heaven. If anyone eats of this manna, he will live forever. Yes, the bread which I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.” (aiōn g165)
52 Cawh Judahkhqi taw amimah ingkaw amimah khqi ce oelh qu unawh,” Ikawmyihna ve ak thlang ing amah a sa ce ai aham ani peek naak khqi kaw?” ti uhy.
The Jews [Praisers] therefore contended with one another, saying, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?”
53 Jesu ing a mingmih a venawh, “Awitak ka nik kqawn peek khqi, thlanghqing Capa a sa ce am ai unawh a thi ce am nami awk awhtaw hqingnaak am ta kawm uk ti.
Yeshua [Salvation] therefore said to them, “Most certainly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you don’t have life in yourselves.
54 Ka sa ce ai nawh ka thi ce ak aw ingtaw kumqui hqingnaak ce tahy, khawnghi a dyt awh ce anih ce kai ing thawh kawng nyng. (aiōnios g166)
He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. (aiōnios g166)
55 Ka sa ve buh tang tang na awm nawh ka thi ve awk ham tang tang na awm hy.
For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
56 U awm ka sa ai nawh ka thi ak aw taw kai awh awm poe kawm saw, kai awm anih awh awm poe kawng nyng.
He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood lives in me, and I in him.
57 Ak hqing Pa ing kai ani tyih amyihna Pa ak caming kai awm hqing nyng, cemyih lawt na kai anik ai taw kai ak caming hqing lawt kaw.
As the living Abba Father sent me, and I live because of Abba ·Father familiar, Dear Dad·; so he who feeds on me, he will also live because of me.
58 Ve ve khawk khan nakaw ak law hqingnaak phaihpi ni. Nami pakhqi ing mana ana ai unawh thi uhy, cehlai vawhkaw phaihpi ak ai taw ang loet na hqing kaw,” tinak khqi hy. (aiōn g165)
This is the bread which came down out of heaven— not as our fathers ate the manna ·what is it·, and died. He who eats this bread will live forever.” (aiōn g165)
59 Ve ak awi ve Kapernawum khaw awhkaw sinakawk awh a cawngpyi awh kqawn pekhy.
He said these things in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum [Village-Comfort, Village-Compassion].
60 Ce ak awi ce a ming zaak awh a hubat thlang khawzah ing, Vawhkaw cawngpyinaak ve kyi aih hy. U ing nu a do thai kaw?” ti uhy.
Therefore many of his disciples, when they heard this, said, “This is a hard saying! Who can listen to it?”
61 Ce ak awi awh a hubatkhqi sai bi uhy tice a sim awh, “Ve ak awi awh namik kaw am law nawh nu?
But Yeshua [Salvation] knowing in himself that his disciples murmured at this, said to them, “Does this cause you to stumble?
62 Thlanghqing Capa ing a awmnaak kqym na a kai ce nami huh mantaw ikaw nu nami ti voei!
Then what if you would see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before?

It is the spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and are life.
64 Cehlai nangmih anglakawh amak cangnaak thlang vang awm uhyk ti,” tinak khqi hy. Jesu ing ak cykca awhkawng amak cangnaak thlangkhqi ce sim nawh amah thlang a kut awh ak zawi hly awm sim hawh hy.
But there are some of you who don’t believe.” For Yeshua [Salvation] knew from the beginning who they were who didn’t believe, and who it was who would betray him.
65 Cekcoengawh a mingmih a venawh, “Cawh mah maw, Ka pa ing ama tyih law taw u awm ka venna am law thai kaw, ka ti hy,” tinak khqi hy.
He said, “For this cause have I said to you that no one can come to me, unless it is given to him by 'Avi ·my Father·.”
66 Cawhkawng taw a hubat thlang khawzah ing voei taak unawh a hu awh am bat voel uhy.
At this, many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
67 Thlanghqa hlaihih a venawh, “Nangmih taw voei aham am nami ngaih lawt nawh aw?” ti nak khqi hy.
Yeshua [Salvation] said therefore to the twelve, “You don’t also want to go away, do you?”
68 Simon Piter ing, “Bawipa a u venna nu ka mi ceh kaw? Nang awh ni kumqui hqingnaak a awm hy. (aiōnios g166)
Simeon Peter [Hearing Rock] answered him, “Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words of eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
69 Nang ve Khawsa ak Thlang Ciim ni tice cang na unawh sim unyng,” tina hy.
We have come to believe and know that you are the Messiah [Anointed one], haBen haElohim Chayim [the Son of the God Living].”
70 Jesu ing, “Nangmih thlanghqa hlaihih ve kai ing ni ka nik tyh khqi my? Cehlai nangmih ak khuiawh qaai pynoet awm hy,” tinak khqi hy.
Yeshua [Salvation] answered them, “Didn’t I choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil?”
71 (Simon a capa Judah Iskariot ce ak kqawn ngaihnaak, anih ce thlanghqa hlaihih ak khuiawh kaw thlang na awm hlai hy, a hu na taw amah ce thlang a kut awh akzawikungna awm hy.)
Now he spoke of Judas [Praised], the son of Simeon [Hearing] from K'riot, for it was he who would betray him, being one of the twelve.
