< Jakob 5 >
1 Nangmih boei thlangkhqi, ngai lah uh, nangmih ak khanawh ak law hly kawi kyinaak ce sim doena kqang u nawhtaw khy lah uh.
Go to now, ye rich, weep, howling over your miseries that [are] coming upon [you].
2 Nami khawhthemkhqi ce plawci kang nawh, suibaikhqi awm laihqa ing ai boeih hawh hy.
Your wealth is become rotten, and your garments moth-eaten.
3 Sui ingkaw ngunkhqi awm a eek ing ai kang hawh hy. Cawhkaw a eek ing a ainaak ce nangmih ama ngaihnaak ak dang sakkung na awm kawmsaw mai amyihna nami sakhqi ce ai law kaw. Khawnghi a dytnaak benawh kawn a them cun hawh uhyk tive.
Your gold and silver is eaten away, and their canker shall be for a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as fire. Ye have heaped up treasure in [the] last days.
4 Toek lah uh! Na lo ak phlokhqi kutphu am na peek khqi a dawngawh nik khy sih hawh uhy ce. Cang ak aat lawkungkhqi ang kqangnaak awi ce Bawimang soeih Bawipa ang haa ce pha hawh hy.
Behold, the wages of your labourers, who have harvested your fields, wrongfully kept back by you, cry, and the cries of those that have reaped are entered into the ears of [the] Lord of sabaoth.
5 Nangmih khawmdek awh awmhly zeelnaak ing khaw sa unawh na mimah a ngaihnaak amyihna awm uhyk ti. Qamsa himnaak khawnghi awh him aham na mimah ingkaw na mimah ak tha pyt pyt na cah qu hawh uhyk ti.
Ye have lived luxuriously on the earth and indulged yourselves; ye have nourished your hearts [as] in a day of slaughter;
6 Nangmih a ma nik oelhkhqi, thawlhnaak amak ta thlangkhqi ce palh sak unawh him uhyk ti.
ye have condemned, ye have killed the just; he does not resist you.
7 Cedawngawh koeinaakhqi, Bawipa a law hlan dy yhnaak ing awm lah uh. Lo ak toenkung ing cang ak thaih huh aham angaih awh khawcui awhkaw qawhtui ce ikawmyih tluk na ang lamtoen tice poek lah uh.
Have patience, therefore, brethren, till the coming of the Lord. Behold, the labourer awaits the precious fruit of the earth, having patience for it until it receive [the] early and [the] latter rain.
8 Nangmih awm, yhnaak ing ak cak na dyi lah uh, kawtih Bawipa a lawnaak tym ce zoe ca hawh hy.
Ye also have patience: stablish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is drawn nigh.
9 Koeinaakhqi, pynoet ingkaw pynoet ak khanawh koeh kawso uh, awidengnaak hu hau kawm uk ti. Awidengkung taw chawmkeng awh dyi hawh hy!
Complain not one against another, brethren, that ye be not judged. Behold, the judge stands before the door.
10 Koeinaakhqi, nami khuikha awh yh thainaak benawh nangmih ing nami dan aham, Bawipa ang ming ing awi ak phawng tawnghakhqi ce poek lah uh.
Take [as] an example, brethren, of suffering and having patience, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of [the] Lord.
11 Nami sim myihna, kyinaak ak yh thlangkhqi ce zoseennaak ak hu thlangkhqi na nik poek uhy. Joba ang yh thainaak ce za u tiksaw a hukhit na Bawipa ing ikaw a sai peek ti awm hu hawh uhyk ti. Bawipa taw qeenkhaw ak ngai qeennaak ing ak be na awm hy.
Behold, we call them blessed who have endured. Ye have heard of the endurance of Job, and seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is full of tender compassion and pitiful.
12 Vekkhqi boeih coengawh, ka koeinaakhqi, khan ingqawi am awhtaw khawmdek ingqawi nu ikawmih ingqawi awm awi koeh phoei law uh. “Oeih” nami ti awhtaw oeih ti mai u nawhtaw, “Amni” nami ti awhtaw amni ti paqap mai uh, cemih am awhtaw palhnaak hu hau kawm uh ti.
But before all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, nor by the earth, nor by any other oath; but let your yea be yea, and your nay, nay, that ye do not fall under judgment.
13 Nangmih ak khuiawh kyinaak ak hu thlang ak awm nu? Cykcah seh. Ak zeel thlang ak awm nu? Kyihcahnaak laa sa seh.
Does any one among you suffer evil? let him pray. Is any happy? let him sing psalms.
14 Nangmih ak khuiawh ak tlo ak naa thlang ak awm nu? Anih ak khan awh Bawipa ang ming ing situi hluk nawh cykcah peek aham thlangboel a hqamcakhqi ce khy seh.
Is any sick among you? let him call to [him] the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of [the] Lord;
15 Cangnaak ingkaw cykcahnaak ing thlak tlo ce qoei sak kaw; Bawipa ing anih ce thawh tlaih kaw. Thawlhnaak a sai hau awhtaw, a thawlhnaak khan awh qeenkhaw ngai pe kaw.
and the prayer of faith shall heal the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he be one who has committed sins, it shall be forgiven him.
16 Cedawngawh pynoet ingkaw pynoet ak khan awh dawk lo u nawhtaw nami qoeinaak aham pynoet ingkaw pynoet aham cykcah lah uh. Thlakdyng ak cykcahnaak taw ak tha awm nawh ik-oeih sai thai hy.
Confess therefore your offences to one another, and pray for one another, that ye may be healed. [The] fervent supplication of the righteous [man] has much power.
17 Elijah awm ningnih a myihna ak awm thlanghqing lawt ni. Khaw ama aanaak aham, khawteh na cykcah hy, cedawngawh kum thum coengawh ak kekvang khawmdek awh khaw am aa hy.
Elias was a man of like passions to us, and he prayed with prayer that it should not rain; and it did not rain upon the earth three years and six months;
18 Cekcoengawh cykcah tlaih bai nawh, khan nakawng khaw a aa coengawh, khawmdek awh am ci ak uikhqi awm sak tlaih hy.
and again he prayed, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth caused its fruit to spring forth.
19 Ka koeinaakhqi, nangmih ak khuiawh kawng u awm awitak awhkawng ang pleng hau awhtaw naming hlat sak tlaih aham awm hy,
My brethren, if any one among you err from the truth, and one bring him back,
20 ve ve sim lah uh: u awm thlak thawlh ce a thawlhnaak lam awhkawng ak hlat sak tlaih ing anih ce thihnaak ak khui awhkawng hul kawmsaw thawlhnaak khawzah myk a dah pe kaw.
let him know that he that brings back a sinner from [the] error of his way shall save a soul from death and shall cover a multitude of sins.
