< Jakob 1 >
1 Khawsa ingkaw Bawipa Jesu Khrih a tyihzawih, Jacob ing, Qampum awh ak theh qu khawnghak pilnam hlaihih a venawh: Kut ni tlaih khqi nyng.
Iames a seruant of God, and of the Lord Iesus Christ, to the twelue Tribes, which are scattered abroade, salutation.
2 Koeinaakhqi, kyinaak soepkep nami huh hoei awh ce, awmhlynaak na poek law uh,
My brethren, count it exceeding ioy, when ye fall into diuers tentations,
3 kawtih nangmih ak cangnaak noek adak naak ing yh thainaak awm sak hy.
Knowing that ye trying of your faith bringeth forth patience,
4 Hqing taai khyk unawh nami soepnaak aham yh thainaak ing a bibi ak coeng aham awm hy, cawh ni voet a hlauhnaak am nami taak hly.
And let patience haue her perfect worke, that ye may be perfect and entier, lacking nothing.
5 Nangmih ak khuiawh cyihnaak ak voet thlang nami awm awhtaw, khawboe cawnnaak ing saibi kaana ak pekung Khawsa venawh a thoeh aham awm hy, cawhtaw anih ing pe kaw.
If any of you lacke wisedome, let him aske of God, which giueth to all men liberally, and reprocheth no man, and it shalbe giuen him.
6 Cehlai a thoeh awhtaw, upvoetnaak a taak kaana cangnaak ing thoeh seh, upvoetnaak kawlung ak ta thlang taw tuicunli awhkaw tuibak, zilh ing huhai na a zawn ing myih hy.
But let him aske in faith, and wauer not: for hee that wauereth, is like a waue of the sea, tost of the winde, and caried away.
7 Cemyih ak thlang ing Bawipa venawh kaw ik-oeih huh aham koeh poek seh.
Neither let that man thinke that hee shall receiue any thing of the Lord.
8 Cemyih ak thlang taw kawlung ak lak law plak, ik-oeih a sainaak hoei awh amak cak ak thlang ni.
A double minded man is vnstable in all his waies.
9 Ak nem na kawdungnaak ing ak awm thlang ing dyih hun ak sang awh a zoeksang qu aham awm hy.
Let the brother of lowe degree reioyce in that he is exalted:
10 Cehlai ak boei ak thlang awm a dyih hun a nem a dawngawh a zoeksang qu aham awm hy, kawtih anih ce qam a pai amyihna kawlhkalh awh qeem kaw.
Againe hee that is rich, in that hee is made lowe: for as the flower of the grasse, shall he vanish away.
11 Khawmik ang thoeng law awhtaw hlawk nawh qam ce zai hy; a pai ce zai nawh a dawnaak ce qeem hy. Cemyih lawtna, thlang boeikhqi taw boeinaak ce a mi sui huiawh zani plal a tham kawm uh.
For as when the sunne riseth with heate, then the grasse withereth, and his flower falleth away, and the goodly shape of it perisheth: euen so shall the rich man wither away in all his waies.
12 Khuikhanaak ak kaiawh ak yh ngah ngah ak thlangkhqi taw ami zoseen hy, noek daknaak ce ami huh coengawh, Khawsa ing a lungnaak thlangkhqi ham a taak peek hqingnaak lumyk ce hu kawm uh.
Blessed is ye man, that endureth tentation: for when he is tried, hee shall receiue the crowne of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that loue him.
13 Sykzoeknaak huh na a awm awh, u ingawm “Khawsa ing ni a ni sykzoek” koeh ti seh. Ikawtih ik-oeih amak leek ing Khawsa ce am sykzoek thai hy, u awm am syk qoe bai hy;
Let no man say when hee is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God can not bee tempted with euill, neither tempteth he any man.
14 Cehlai thlang boeih ing amah ak che ngaihnaak awh ni sykzoeknaak ce a huh hy, cawh sykzoeknaak ing sawi nawh zoek hy.
But euery man is tempted, when hee is drawen away by his owne concupiscence, and is entised.
15 Hy ngaihnaak awm law nawh ce ing thawlhnaak ce thang sak hy; thawlhnaak ce hang taai nawh, ce ing thihnaak ce thang sak patoe bai hy.
Then when lust hath conceiued, it bringeth foorth sinne, and sinne when it is finished, bringeth foorth death.
16 Koeinaakhqi, u ingawm koeh ni thai nak khqi seh.
Erre not, my deare brethren.
17 Kutdo laksawng leekkhqi ingkaw a zoe ik-oeih soepkepkhqi boeih ve khan benna kaw ni, khan benna kaw vangnaak Pa a venawh kawng ni a law hy, anih taw myihlip amyihna am thaw qu hy.
Euery good giuing, and euery perfect gift is from aboue, and commeth downe from the Father of lights, with whome is no variablenes, neither shadow of turning.
18 Awitak ing thang sak aham ingkaw a ik-oeih saikhqi boeih ak khuiawh ningnih ve thaih cyk na ni awmnaak thai aham ningnih ve nik tyk khqi hawh hy.
Of his owne will begate hee vs with the woorde of trueth, that we shoulde be as the first fruites of his creatures.
19 Kalung naak koeinaakhqi, ve ve sim lah uh: Thlang boeih ing ngainaak benawh ang tah ly seitaw, awih kqawn benawh taw heng seh, kawsonaak benawh awm heng seh.
Wherefore my deare brethren, let euery man be swift to heare, slowe to speake, and slowe to wrath.
20 Ikawtih kawsonaak ing Khawsak kawngaih khawsak dyngnaak ben ikaw awm am haw law hy.
For the wrath of man doeth not accomplish the righteousnesse of God.
21 Cedawngawh, tyih ak cu khawboe qamlang ingkaw ik-oeih ak che soeihkhqi ce qoeng unawh nangmih a nik hul thaikhqi nangmih ak khuiawh ling na ak awm awi ce kawdungnaak ing do law uh.
Wherefore lay apart all filthinesse, and superfluitie of maliciousnesse, and receiue with meekenes the word that is graffed in you, which is able to saue your soules.
22 Namah ingkaw namah qaainaak ham, awi ce ang ngai doeng na koeh ngai law doek uh. Ak kqawn ce sai law uh.
And be ye doers of the word, and not hearers onely, deceiuing your owne selues.
23 U awm awi ce ngai hlai hy ak kqawn ce amak sai ak thlang taw hlalang awh a haai ak toek ing myih hy,
For if any heare the woorde, and doe it not, he is like vnto a man, that beholdeth his naturall face in a glasse.
24 amah ingkaw amah toek qu nawh a ceh coeng awhtaw ikawmyihna a awm tice hilh pahoei hy.
For when he hath considered himselfe, hee goeth his way, and forgetteth immediately what maner of one he was.
25 Cehlai u awm loetnaak ak pekung anaa awi soep ce ak toek ceet taw, a qoeng kaana sai poe hy, ang zaak awi ce am hilh hy, cehlai sai poe hy – cemyih ak thlang taw a ik-oeih sainaak hoei awh zoseennaak hu kaw.
But who so looketh in the perfect Lawe of libertie, and continueth therein, hee not being a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the woorke, shalbe blessed in his deede.
26 U awm bawknaak ak lungnaak thlang na awm hlai hy am lai ce a ma cyp awhtaw, amah ingkaw amah ak qaai qunaak thlang na awm nawh a bawknaak ce awm phu am tahy.
If any man amog you seeme religious, and refraineth not his tongue, but deceiueth his owne heart, this mans religion is vaine.
27 Ningmih a pa Khawsa ing ak caih ingkaw coet amak kap bawknaak a do taw veni: cadahkhqi ingkaw nuhaikhqi a kyinaak ak dawm ak hlai nawh amak ciimcaih ve khawmdek ik-oeih awhkawng ak hoep qu thlang ce ni.
Pure religion and vndefiled before God, euen the Father, is this, to visite the fatherlesse, and widdowes in their aduersitie, and to keepe himselfe vnspotted of the world.
