Galatia 4
1 Qo ak pangkung ce naasen na a awm khuiawh taw, qampum ce ta mai seiawm tamnaa ingqawi a lawhanaak am awm hy.
Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differs nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;

But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.

Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:
4 Cehlai a tym a pha awhkawng taw, Khawsa ing a Capa ce tyi law hy, nu ing ta nawh, anaa ak kaiawh thang law hy,
But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
5 anaa ak kaiawh ak awm thlangkhqi ce hul aham, ningnih ing cakhqi na coeng thainaak ce ak soep na ni huh thainaak aham ni.
To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
6 Nangmih taw cakhqi na nami awm dawngawh, Khawsa ing amah a Capa ang Myihla ce ningnih ak kawlung khuiawh tyi law hy, cawhkaw Myihla ing, “Abba, Ka pa,” tinawh nik khy sak hy.
And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
7 Cedawngawh nang taw tamnaa na am awm voel hyk ti, ca nani na awm hawh; ca na na awm hawh dawngawh, Khawsa ing qo ak pangkung na ni ta hawh hy.
Why you are no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
8 Khawsa nami sim hlanawh Khawsa na amak awm thlangkhqi a tamnaa na awm uhyk ti.
However, then, when you knew not God, you did service to them which by nature are no gods.
9 Cehlai tuh taw Khawsa ce sim hawh uhyk ti – am awhtaw Khawsa amah ing ni sim khqi hawh hy – cawhtaw ikawmyihna cawhkaw tha amak awmkhqi mi ikawna awm amak awm benna na ming hlat tlaih uh? Cemyihkhqi a tamnaa na awm tlaih aham nami ngaih nawh nu?
But now, after that you have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn you again to the weak and beggarly elements, to which you desire again to be in bondage?
10 Khawnghikhqi hlakhqi ingkaw kumkhqi ce zeih uhyk ti!
You observe days, and months, and times, and years.
11 Nangmih aham phu amak awmna kak tha plak kawng nyng, tice kqih nyng.
I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed on you labor in vain.
12 Kai amyihna nami awm lawt aham, koeinaakhqi, nangmih a venawh qeennaak thoeh law nyng, kai awm nangmih amyihna awm lawt nyng. Kak khanawh ikawmyih a thawlhnaak am sai uhyk ti.
Brothers, I beseech you, be as I am; for I am as you are: you have not injured me at all.
13 Nami sim amyihna, ka tlawh a dawngawh nangmih a venawh lamma cyk na awithang leek khy law pyi nyng.
You know how through infirmity of the flesh I preached the gospel to you at the first.
14 Ka tlawhnaak ce nangmih aham noek a daknaak na awm mai seiawm, nangmih ing am ni the na unawh am nim tyih uhyk ti, Khawsa ak khan ceityih amyihna, Khrih amah qoe qoe amyihna ni do uhyk ti.
And my temptation which was in my flesh you despised not, nor rejected; but received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus.
15 Nami zeelnaakkhqi boeih ce ikawmyihna nu a awm hy? Nami sai thai mantaw nami mik zani koeih unawh ni pe kawm uk ti, ti nyng.
Where is then the blessedness you spoke of? for I bear you record, that, if it had been possible, you would have plucked out your own eyes, and have given them to me.
16 Awitak ka nik kqawn peek khqi dawngawh nangmih a qaal na ka awm nawh nu?
Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?
17 Nangmih noeng aham ak ngaih soeih khqi ce, a leeknaak aham amni. A mingmih a ngaihnaak taw nangmih ingkaw kaimih pek ang bo qunaak aham ni, cawh ni a mingmih ce nangmih ing nami ngaih hly thai hy.
They zealously affect you, but not well; yes, they would exclude you, that you might affect them.
18 Thlang ing a ni ngaih ve leek hy, cai ang hlahnaak ni taak awm nep hy, ka awm doeng awh am nawh cemyihna awm poepa lah uh.
But it is good to be zealously affected always in a good thing, and not only when I am present with you.
19 Ka lungnaak ka cakhqi, nangmih ak khuiawh Khrih a awm hlan khuiawh naaca ak awm tawm awhkaw amyihna awm nyng,
My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,
20 tuh nangmih a venawh awm lah nyng saw kak awi thaw lah voei nyng, nangmih akawng kang ngaih na kyi soeih saw!
I desire to be present with you now, and to change my voice; for I stand in doubt of you.
21 Anaa ak kaiawh awm aham ak ngaihkhqi, kqawn law lah uh, anaa awi ing ak kqawn ce am nami sim nawh nu?
Tell me, you that desire to be under the law, do you not hear the law?
22 Abraham ing cakpa pakkhih tahy, pynoet taw a tamnaa nu a capa na awm nawh pynoet taw tamnaa nu am a capa na awm hy.
For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a female slave, the other by a free woman.
23 A tamnaa nu ingqawi a ni taak a capa cetaw ca taak mailai na awm hy; cehlai tamnaa nu am ingqawi a ni taak a capa taw awikamnaak amyihna a taak na awm hy.
But he who was of the female slave was born after the flesh; but he of the free woman was by promise.
24 Vawhkaw ik-oeih ve nyhtahnaak na ta lah sih, cawhkaw nuqawi ce awikam pakkhih sainaak ing myih hy. Awikamnaak pynoet taw Sinai tlang awhkaw awikamnaak na awm nawh tamnaa na ak awm hly kawi canaakhqi ce tahy: vetaw Hagar ni.
Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which engenders to bondage, which is Agar.
25 Hagar taw Arabia qam awhkaw Sinai Tlang na awm hy, a cakhqi mi tamnaa na a mi awm dawngawh, tuh khawk bau na ak awm Jerusalem ing myih hy.
For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answers to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.
26 Cehlai khan benna ak awm Jerusalem taw tamnaa nu am na awm nawh, anih taw ningnih a nu na awm hy.
But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.
27 Cak kaa nang nu, zeel lah; tlawhnaak amak sim nang, khawteh na khy lah; Ikawtih a hqek nu ing vaa ak taak anglakawh khawzah khqoet ca tahy,” tinawh qee hyt ce awm hawh hy.
For it is written, Rejoice, you barren that bore not; break forth and cry, you that travail not: for the desolate has many more children than she which has an husband.
28 Nangmih koeinaa, Isaak amyihna ak awmkhqi taw awikamnaak cakhqi na awm uhyk ti.
Now we, brothers, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.
29 Cawh ca taak mailai ing Myihla saithainaak ing ak thang capa ce the a kha nahy. Cemyihna ni tuh awm a awm hy.
But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.
30 Cehlai Cakciim ing ikawmyihna nu ak kqawn? “Tamnaa nu ingkaw a capa ce hqek lah uh, kawtih tamnaa nu a capa ing ityk awh awm tamnaa nu am a capa a qo ce a pang pyi thai kaw,” tinawh kqawn hy.
Nevertheless what says the scripture? Cast out the female slave and her son: for the son of the female slave shall not be heir with the son of the free woman.
31 Cedawngawh, koeinaakhqi, ningnih ve tamnaa nu a cakhqi na amni awm uhy, tamnaa nu am a cakhqi nani ni awm uh hy.
So then, brothers, we are not children of the female slave, but of the free.
