< Galatia 3 >
1 Nangmih Galatia thlakqaw khqi! U ing a nim tuui khqi vik hy voei? Na mik huh qoe qoe awh Khrih thinglam awh henna ak awm ce ak caihna dang hy.
O senseless Galatians, who hath bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been set forth, crucified among you?
2 Nangmih a ven awhkaw them pynoet ca doeng ni cawng aham ka ngaih hy: Anaa awi hquutnaak ak caming nu Myihla ce nami huh uh, am awhtaw na ming zaak ce na mik cangnaak camawh nu?
This only would I learn of you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
3 Cemyih aihna nami qaw nawh nu? Myihla ing kqawn na a awm coengawh, tuh thlanghqing a saithainaak ing nang cainaak ce huh aham tha nami lo nawh nu?
Are you so foolish, that, whereas you began in the Spirit, you would now be made perfect by the flesh?
4 Kawna amak coeng them aham na mik khuikha nawh nu – ikawna awm a mang coeng tang tang awhtaw?
Have you suffered so great things in vain? If it be yet in vain.
5 Anaa awi na ming ngaih ak camawh nu Khawsa ing amah ang Myihla ce ni pek khqi nawh kawpoek kyi them ce nami sai, am awhtaw na ming zaak ce na mik cangnaak dawngawh nu?
He therefore who giveth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you; doth he do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of the faith?
6 Abraham ce poek lah uh: Anih ing Khawsa ce ak cangnaak camawh, anih ce thlakdyng na tahy.”
As it is written: Abraham believed God, and it was reputed to him unto justice.
7 Cawhtaw, zasim lah uh, ak cangnaak thlangkhqi taw Abraham a cadil na awm uhy.
Know ye therefore, that they who are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.
8 Khawsa ing Gentelkhqi ce cangnaak ak caming dyng sak kaw, tice Bible ing a na hu oepchoeh hawh hy, cedawngawh Abraham a venawh awithang leek ce anak khypyi oepchoeh: “Nang ak caming qampum thlang ing zoseennaak hu kawm uh,” a na tina hy.
And the scripture, foreseeing, that God justifieth the Gentiles by faith, told unto Abraham before: In thee shall all nations be blessed.
9 Cedawngawh cangnaak ak ta thlangkhqi taw, cangnaak ing ak awm Abraham ingqawi zoseennaak hu haih uhy.
Therefore they that are of faith, shall be blessed with faithful Abraham.
10 Anaa awi hquutnaak awh ak hangkhqi boeih taw awihkha zawknaak ak kai awh awm uhy: “Anaa Cakciim ak khuiawh qee na a awm amyihna amak ngaih ak thlangkhqi boeih taw awihkha ak zawkkhqi na awm uhy,” tinawh qee na awm hy.
For as many as are of the works of the law, are under a curse. For it is written: Cursed is every one, that abideth not in all things, which are written in the book of the law to do them.
11 U awm anaa awi hquutnaak ak caming Khawsa haiawh thlakdyng na am awm qoe qoe hy, ikawtih, “Thlakdyng taw cangnaak ing hqing kaw,” tinawh awm hy.
But that in the law no man is justified with God, it is manifest: because the just man liveth by faith.
12 Anaa awi taw cangnaak awh am dyi hy, “Vawhkaw them ak sai thlangkhqi taw ami sai ak caming hqing lawt kawm uh,” tinawh ni a awm hy.
But the law is not of faith: but, He that doth those things, shall live in them.
13 Ningmih aham awihkha na ak thoeng anaa awihkha ak khui awhkawng Khrih ing ningnih ce ni hul khqi hy: “U awm thing awh a tai thlang taw awihkha ak zawk thlang na awm hy,” tinawh qee amyihna.
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written: Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
14 Cangnaak ak caming Myihla awitaak ce ni huh thainaak aham ingkaw, Abraham a venawh a peek zoseennaak ce Jesu Khrih ak caming Gentelkhqi ham a awm thainaak aham anih ing ningnih ce ni hul khqi hy.
That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Christ Jesus: that we may receive the promise of the Spirit by faith.
15 Koeinaakhqi, myngawi awhkaw khawsak naak awhkawng nyhtahnaak pynoet awh kqawn law lah vang nyng. U ingawm awikamnaak a sai ce ce am qoeng thai nawh a ma sap thai voel amyihna ni ve a ik-oeih awm a awm lawt hy.
Brethren (I speak after the manner of man, ) yet a man’s testament, if it be confirmed, no man despiseth, nor addeth to it.
16 Awikamnaak ve Abraham ingkaw a cadil aham ni ak kqawn peek hy. Cakciim ing, “A cadilkhqi,” am tihy, cetaw thlang khawzah ak kqawn ngaihnaak ni, Cehlai, “Na cadil a venawh,” tinawh kqawn hy, cetaw thlang pynoet Jesu Khrih ni.
To Abraham were the promises made and to his seed. He saith not, And to his seeds, as of many: but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
17 Kak kqawn ngaihnaak taw veni: Anaa awi, kum 430 a dii coengawh a peek ing, Khawsa ing lamma na awikamnaak a sai ce am qoeng nawh awikam ce awm am hqe hy.
Now this I say, that the testament which was confirmed by God, the law which was made after four hundred and thirty years, doth not disannul, to make the promise of no effect.
18 Ikawtih qo pangnaak ce anaa awi awh ang hang qu mai mantaw, awikamnaak awh am hang qu voel hawh hy; Cehlai Khawsa ing am qeennaak ing awikamnaak ce Abraham a venawh pehy.
For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise. But God gave it to Abraham by promise.
19 Cawhtaw anaa awi ve ikaw ham hy voei nu? Ve bai taw awikamnaak ing ak khi Cadil a law hlan dy, thawlhnaak awh a sap sih naak ni. Anaa awi ce khan ceityih ak caming dyihthing pynoet ing caksak hy.
Why then was the law? It was set because of transgressions, until the seed should come, to whom he made the promise, being ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.
20 Cawhkaw dyihthing pynoet ing thlang hloep oet doeng am hut nahy; cehlai Khawsa taw pynoet ni.
Now a mediator is not of one: but God is one.
Was the law then against the promises of God? God forbid. For if there had been a law given which could give life, verily justice should have been by the law.
22 Cehlai Cakciim ingtaw khawmdek pum ve thawlh ing khuk hy tihy, cedawngawh cawhkaw awikamnaak ce, ak cangnaak thlangkhqi ing a mi huhnaak thai ham, Jesu Khrih cangnaak ak caming peek na awm hawh hy.
But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise, by the faith of Jesus Christ, might be given to them that believe.
23 Vawhkaw cangnaak a law hlanawh, anaa awi ing ningnih ce thawngim khuina nik kqoep khqi hy, cangnaak ang dang hlan dy awh ni khawh khqi hy.
But before the faith came, we were kept under the law shut up, unto that faith which was to be revealed.
24 Cedawngawh anaa awi taw cangnaak ak caming thlak dyng na ni awm thainaak aham Khrih a venna ningnih a nik sawikung na awm hy.
Wherefore the law was our pedagogue in Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25 Cawhtaw tuh cangnaak ce law hawh hy, cedawngawh anaa awi doencangnaak ak kaiawh ningnih taw amni awm voel uhy.
But after the faith is come, we are no longer under a pedagogue.
26 Jesu Khrih cangnaak ak caming nangmih boeih taw Khawsa cakhqi na awm uhyk ti,
For you are all the children of God by faith, in Christ Jesus.
27 Ikawtih Khrih awh baptisma ak hukhqi boeih taw Khrih ing thoeih ang cam qu boeih hawh uhyk ti.
For as many of you as have been baptized in Christ, have put on Christ.
28 Juda ingkaw Greek am awm nawh tamnaa ingkaw thlak loeih am awm hy. Nu ingkaw pa ti awm am awm hy. Ikawtih Khrih awh pynoet na awm boeih uhyk ti.
There is neither Jew nor Greek: there is neither bond nor free: there is neither male nor female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 Khrih a koena nami awm awhtaw, Abraham a cadil na awm hawh uhyk ti, awikamnaak amyihna qo ak pangkungkhqi na awm hawh uhyk ti.
And if you be Christ’s, then are you the seed of Abraham, heirs according to the promise.
