1 Judah qam awhkawng thlang ak cawn law ing, “Mosi a cawngpyinaak amyihna chahhui am nami qeet awhtaw thaawngnaak am hu kawm uk ti,” anawh koeinaakhqi ce ana cawngpyi khqi uhy.
Now some that came down from Judea, taught the brethren, saying, Except ye be circumcised according to the law of Moses, ye cannot be saved.
2 Ve a kawnglamawh Paul, Barnaba ingkaw cekkhqi ce ak tlona oelh qu uhy. Ve oelhqunaak ak camawh Jerusalem awh ak awm ceityihkhqi ingkaw ak hqaamcakhqi venna ak cet hamna Paul, Barnaba ingkaw aming lak awhkaw thlang chang thlang vang tloek ce tyk uhy.
A dissension therefore arising, and Paul and Barnabas having no small dispute with them, it was resolved that Paul and Barnabas, and some others, should go up to the apostles and elders at Jerusalem about this question.
3 Thlangboel ing cekkhqi ce thak khqi unawh, Phinicia qam ingkaw Samaria qam khuina ami ceh awh, Gentelkhqi ikawmyihna amik kaw ami thaw ti akawng ce kqawn pek khqi uhy. Cawhkaw awithang ing koeinaakhqi boeih ce zeel sak khqi hy.
They therefore, being brought forward on their way by the church, passed through Phenicia and Samaria, relating the conversion of the Gentiles: and they gave great joy to all the brethren.
4 Jerusalem khaw ami pha awh, cekkhqi ce thlangboel, ceityihkhqi ingkaw a hqamcakhqi ing ana do khqi uhy, cekkhqi hawnaak ing Khawsa ing them a saikhqi boeih ce kqawn pe uhy.
And when they came to Jerusalem, they were received by the church, and by the apostles and elders, and they told them all that God had done by them.
5 Cawh ak cangnaak thlang khuiawh Farasi benna ak awm thlang vang tloek ing dyi unawh, “Gentelkhqi ce chahhui qeet sak nawh, Mosi a anaa awi ce hquut aham cawngpyi ham awm hy,” ti uhy.
But there rose up, said they, some of the sect of the pharisees that believed, saying, that it was necessary to circumcise them, and enjoin them to keep the law of Moses.
6 Cedawngawh cawhkaw awi kqawn aham Jerusalem khaw na ceityihkhqi ingkaw a hqamcakhqi ce cun uhy.
So the apostles and elders were assembled together to consider about this matter.
7 Awi amik kqawn coengawh Piter ce dyi nawh awi kqawn hy: “Koeinaakhqi, Gentelkhqi ing kai am kha awhkawng awithang leek ce za unawh amik cangnaak thai aham synawh Khawsa ing nangmih ak khuiawh kaw thlang vang ce tyk hy.
And after much debate, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Brethren, ye know that a good while ago, God, who was among us, chose that the Gentiles should hear by my mouth the word of the gospel, and believe.
8 Kawlung ak simkung Khawsa ing, ningnih a venawh ani peek khqi lawt amyihna, cekkhqi venawh Ciim Myihla a peeknaak ak caming cekkhqi ce do hawh hy tice dang sak hawh hy.
And God who knoweth the heart, bare witness to them, giving them the holy Spirit, as He had done also to us:
9 Khawsa ing ningnih ingkaw a mingmih ce am pek am bo hy, cangnaak ak caming cekkhqi ak kawlung ce ciimcaih sak hawh hy.
and made no difference between us and them, having purified their hearts by faith.
10 Cawhtaw ikaw ham ningnih ingkaw ni pakhqi ing zani ni naa tloei phyihqih ce hubatkhqi a hawng awh tloeng pe nawh Khawsa ce noek a dak aham naming cai uh?
Now therefore why do ye tempt God, in imposing a yoke on the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
11 Amni! Ningmih a Bawipa Jesu am qeennaak ak cam ing ni, a mingmih amyihna ningnih awm hul na ni awm hy,” tinak khqi hy.
But we believe that we shall be saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, in like manner as they.
12 Barnaba ingkaw Paul hawnaak ak caming Khawsa ing Gentelkhqi venawh kawpoek kyi hatnaak ik-oeih a saikhqi ce cekqawi ing anik kqawn awh thlang kqeng ing ngai uhy.
And all the multitude kept silence, and gave attention to Barnabas and Paul, relating what signs and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.
13 Anik kqawn boeih coengawh, Jakob ing, “Koeinaakhqi ngai lah uh.
And after they had done speaking, James rose up and said, Brethren, hearken unto me.
14 Khawsa ing ikawmyihna ak cyk awh amah aham Gentel thlangkhqi a lawhnaak akawng ce Simeon ing nik kqawn law pek khqi hawh hy.
---Simeon hath related, how God at first condescended to take out of the Gentiles a people to his name.
15 Ve ak awi ingkaw tawnghakhqi ak awi awm qoep hy:
And to this agree the words of the prophets,
16 ‘Vek coengawh hlat kawng nyng saw, David a imca ak tlu ce sa tlaih kawng nyng. Ak seekhqi ce sa tlaih kawng nyng saw, thawh tlaih kawng nyng.
as it is written, "After this will I return, and rebuild the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will repair its ruins, and set it up again.
17 Thlak chang, kang ming ak phyi Gentelkhqi boeih ing Bawipa suinaak hamna ce im ce dyih tlaih kawng nyng,' ti ce.
That the rest of mankind may seek the Lord, even all the nations, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord who doth all these things."
18 Khawmdek syncyk awhkawng ve ak awi ak simsakkung Bawipa ing tihy,’ tinawh ana qee amyihna. (aiōn g165)
Now all his works are known unto God from the beginning of the world: (aiōn g165)
19 Cedawngawh, Khawsa benna ak hlat Gentelkhqi ce kyinaak peek aham am awm hy, tinawh awi tlyk nyng.
wherefore my advice is, not to trouble those who from among the Gentiles are converted to God; but to write to them,
20 Bulnaak sainaak buh a ankhqi ama ai aham, nupa amak thym na thawlh sainaakkhqi, a hawng awh ak khak mat mehkhqi ingkaw a thikhqi a mami ai aham ca mah pat u sih ti nyng.
that they abstain from the pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from what is strangled, and from blood.
21 Ikawtih ak cykca awhkawng Mosi ing khaw boeih awh ak awi kqawnpyikung tyk khawi lawt nawh, Sabbath a hoei awh anih ak awi ce sinakawk awh noet poepa uhy,” tina hy.
For Moses hath had from ancient times those that preach him in every city, and is still read in the synagogues every sabbath-day.
22 Cekcoengawh ceityihkhqi ingkaw a hqamcakhqi ing thlangboel ingkaw a mimah anglakawhkaw thlang vang ce tyk unawh Antiok khaw na Paul ingkaw Barnaba mi tyi haih uhy. Judas (Barnabas a mi tinaak) ingkaw Sila ce tyk uhy, cekqawi ce koeinaakhqi ak sawikung na awm hy nih.
Then it seemed good to the apostles, and elders, and the whole church, to send men chose from among themselves to Antioch along with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas sirnamed Barsabas, and Silas; leading men among the brethren:
23 Cekqawi a kut awh ak kai awhkaw amyihna ca pat pe uhy. Ceityihkhqi ingkaw a hqamcakhqi, nangmih a koeinaakhqi ing, Antiok khaw ingkaw Siria qam ingkaw Kilikia qam awh ak awm cangnaak cakhqi venawh: Kut ni tlaih khqi unyng.
and they wrote by their hand, as follows, The apostles and elders and brethren here to the Gentile brethren which are in Antioch, and Syria, and Cilicia, send greeting.
24 Kaimih a simpyinaak a awm kaana kaimih a venawh kawng thlang thlang vang nangmih a venawh law unawh nangmih ce kyinaak ni pek khqi uhy, cekkhqi ak awi awh naming ngaih kyi hy tinawh za unyng.
Forasmuch as we have heard, that some who went out from us, have troubled you by their discourses, unsettling your minds, saying, ye must be circumcised, and keep the law; to whom we gave no such commission;
25 Cedawngawh thlang vang ce tyk unawh taw pyi qawi Paul ingkaw Barnaba mi nangmih a venna tyi haih u sih, tinawh ka ming ha tla boeih hy.
it seemed good to us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you, with our beloved brethren Barnabas and Paul,

who have exposed their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
27 Cedawngawh kaimih ing ka qee law ce awi ing caksak aham Juda ingkaw Sila ve tyi law unyng.
We have therefore sent with them Judas and Silas, to tell you the same things also by word of mouth.
28 Ak kai awhkaw ak ngoe ik-oeihkhqi doeng kaa taw ak chang phyihqih am ka mi phyih sak aham Ciim Myihla ingkaw kaimih ing nep hy ti unyng.
For it seemed good to the holy Spirit, and so to us, to lay no more burthen upon you than these necessary things.
29 Bulnaak sainaak buh a ankhqi, thikhqi, hawng khak mehkhqi koeh ai kawm uk ti, cekcoengawh amak ciim nupa thawlhnaak koeh sai kawm uk ti. Vemyihkhqi amna mi sai awhtaw nep bit kaw. Nami sa dip seh,” ti unawh pat uhy.
That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from what has been strangled, and from fornication: from which ye will do well to keep yourselves. Farewel.
30 Cekkhqi ce ami tyih coengawh Antiok khaw na ce cet uhy, cawh thlangboel ce pynoet na cet unawh ca ce pe uhy.
Being thus dispatched they came to Antioch, and when they had assembled the brethren, they delivered the epistle.

And when they had read it, they rejoiced at the consolation it brought.
32 Juda ingkaw Sila awm, tawngha na ani awm a dawngawh, koeinaakhqi ce tha pe nih nawh awi kqawn pe hy nih.
And Judas and Silas being prophets also themselves, exhorted and established: the brethren by many discourses.

And after some time, they were dismissed with peace from the brethren to the apostles.
34 Cehlai Sila taw cawh ce awm aham cai hy.
But it seemed good to Silas to continue there: Paul also and Barnabas stayed at Antioch,

teaching and preaching, with many others likewise, the word of the Lord.

And after some days Paul said to Barnabas, Let us return and visit our brethren in every city, where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they are.
37 Barnaba ing Marka tinawh awm amik khy Johan ce ceh pyi aham ngaih hy,
And Barnabas proposed to take with them John, who was surnamed Mark.

But Paul did not think proper to take him with them, who left them in Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work.
39 Ce akawng awh ce oelh qu nih nawh kqeng hy nih. Barnaba ing Marka ce khyn nawh Kupra benna cet hy nih,
And there was a sharp dispute, so that they separated from each other; and Barnabas took Mark and sailed to Cyprus: but Paul chose Silas and departed,

And he went through Syria and Cilicia confirming the churches.
