< 2 Timote 1 >

1 Jesu Khrih awh ak awm awitaak naak amyihna, Khawsak kawngaihnaak amyihna Jesu Khrih a ceityih na ak awm, Paul ing,
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus,
2 Ka lungnaak ka capa Timote a venawh: Pa Khawsa ingkaw ningnih a Bawipa Jesu Khrih a ven awhkaw am qeennaak, thintlawhnaak ingkaw ngaihdingnaak awm seh.
To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
3 Pakdamkhqi amyihna a bi ka bi peek Khawsa venawh, kawlung caihnaak ing zeel nyng saw than ingkaw dai nangmih aham cykcah poepa nyng.
I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of you in my prayers night and day;
4 Nang amik phli tuikhqi ce poek nyng, zeelnaak ing ka be thainaak aham, nang a myi ce huh aham ngaih nyng.
Greatly desiring to see you, being mindful of your tears, that I may be filled with joy;
5 Na nukdam Loisi ingkaw na nu Euniki awh ak awm ma cangnaak ce, nang awh awm hy tice sim tlaih nyng, tuh awhtaw cawhkaw cangnaak ce nang awh awm awm hy.
When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in you, which dwelled first in your grandmother Lois, and your mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in you also.
6 Cedawngawh Khawsa kutdo peek, nak khanawh kut ka thoeng law awhkaw mai kqawng ce a caknaak aham na zah aham kqawn law nyng.
Why I put you in remembrance that you stir up the gift of God, which is in you by the putting on of my hands.
7 Ikawtih Khawsa ing kqihnaak myihla ce amni pe nawh, thaawmnaak, lungnaak ingkaw yhthainaak myihla ni ani peek hy.
For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
8 Cedawngawh ni Bawipa akawng kqawn aham koeh chak, thawng ak tla kai akawng awh awm koeh chak. Cehlai awithang leek awh kyinaak ka huhnaak ve ning yh pyi lawt lah, Khawsa ak thaawmnaak ak caming,
Be not you therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be you partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;
9 anih ing ningnih ce ni thaawng khqi nawh hqing ciimnaak ing hqing aham nik khy hy – ik-oeih pynoet oet ni sai peek awh am nawh amah ang cainaak ingkaw am qeennaak camawh ni. Vawhkaw am qeennaak vetaw a tym ak kqan hlan awhkawng ningnih a venawh Jesu Khrih awh ni pek khqi hawh hy. (aiōnios g166)
Who has saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, (aiōnios g166)
10 Tuhawhtaw thihnaak ce noeng nawh awithang leek ak caming hqingnaak ingkaw kumqui vangnaak ak khuina anik sawikung ningnih a hulkung, Jesu Khrih ak caming dang hawh hy.
But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death, and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:
11 Ve awithang leek ve khypyi aham ceityih ingkaw cawngpyi kungna awm aham kai ve ni caksak hy.
Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.
12 Cedawngawh khuikha hu nyng. Cehlai kai ing kak cangnaak thlang ce a u nu, tice ka sim dawngawh ap chak nyng, ce a khawnghi aham kai ing ka khoem sak ce ak nep cana khoem law kaw, tice sim nyng.
For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed to him against that day.
13 Kai a ven awhkaw naming zaak ce, Jesu Khrih awh cangnaak lungnaak ingkaw cawngpyinaak ak thym toek hly kawi na ta law uh.
Hold fast the form of sound words, which you have heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
14 Nangmih a venawh ik-oeih leek khoem sak na ak awm ce ak leek na qeet na uh – ningnih ak khui awhkaw ak awm Ciim Myihla bawmnaak ak caming ak leek na qeet na uh.
That good thing which was committed to you keep by the Holy Ghost which dwells in us.
15 Asia qam awh ak awm thlangkhqi ing ni cehtaak hawh uhy tice sim uhyk ti, Phygelus ingkaw Hermogenes ingawm ni cehta lawt hy nih.
This you know, that all they which are in Asia be turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes.
16 Bawipa ing Onesiphora ipkhui kaw ak khanawh am qeennaak dang sak seh, kawtih anih ing ni caih sak pang nawh thiqui khihna ka awmnaak awh awm ap chak hy.
The Lord give mercy to the house of Onesiphorus; for he oft refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain:
17 Rom khaw awh a awm awh kai a mani huh hlan dy awh ni sui khing hy.
But, when he was in Rome, he sought me out very diligently, and found me.
18 Ce a khawnghi awh Bawipa a ven awhkaw qeennaak a huhnaak aham Bawipa ing qeen seh! Ephesa khaw awh ikawmyih dyna kai ani bawm ani ceem tice nang ingawm sim hyk ti.
The Lord grant to him that he may find mercy of the Lord in that day: and in how many things he ministered to me at Ephesus, you know very well.
