< 1 Timote 1 >

1 Paul, hulkung Khawsa ingkaw ning ngaih-uu Jesu Khrih ak awipeeknaak amyihna Jesu Khrih a ceityih na ak awm ing:
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Savior, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope;
2 Cangnaak awh ka Capa tang tang Timote a venawh: Pa Khawsa a ven ingkaw ni Bawipa Jesu Khrih a venawh kaw am qeennaak, lungnaak ingkaw ngaihdingnaak awm seh.
To Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.
3 Makedonia khaw na ka ceh awh awi a ni yyn hawh amyihna tuhawm Ephesa khawawh awm cang ahamna ni thoeh nyng. Cawh thlang a vang ing cawngpyinaak amak thym ce cawngpyi uhy, amami cawngpyinaak voel ham tinak khqi.
As I sought you to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that you might charge some that they teach no other doctrine,
4 Syn awi mai ingkaw amak dyt thai khui thoepnaak mai ce koeh sai voel u seh. Cemyih ing Khawsa awh nik cangnaak a taai sak nawh oelh taihnaak ni ak cawn sak hy.
Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.
5 Vawhkaw awipeek ang cainaak taw kawlung ciimcaihnaak, ak che ak leek hqimhqanaak ingkaw cangnaak ak thym awhkawng ak cawn law lungnaak taaknaak thai hamna ni.
Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
6 Thlang vang ingtaw ve ve cehta unawh, a lawng a lam amak awm awipungnaak benawh cet uhy.
From which some having swerved have turned aside to vain jangling;
7 Anaa awi cawngpyikungkhqi na ami awm ngaih hlai uhy, a mimah ak awih kqawn haha zani a mamik sim thlangkhqi ingkaw ikaw amim tu ti awm amak sim thlangkhqi na awm uhy.
Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.
8 Ak thym na thlang ing a hawnaak awhtaw anaa awi ve leek hy tice ni sim uhy.
But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;
9 Thlak dyng aham anaa awi ve sai na am awm nawh anaa awi ak hqekhqi ingkaw qaal na ak thokhqi, Khawsa amak simkhqi ingkaw thlakthawlhkhqi, thlakciim am khqi ingkaw Khawsa amak bawkkhqi ami nu ingkaw ami pa amik him thlangkhqi,
Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for murderers,
10 ak samphaihkhqi ingkaw thlak leek am khqi, tamnaa ak zawikhqi ingkaw a qaai ak kqawnkhqi ak thym ik-oeih ami sim loei loei awh amak thym na ak kqawnkhqi – ak thym cangnaak ak kalh boeih boeih hamna ni a awm hy.
For fornicators, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for enslavers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
11 Boeimang khawsa ing a ni zoeksang lawt amyihna ce awithang leek ce kai ni khoem sak hy.
According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.
12 Tha anik pekung, Jesu Khrih, ni Bawipa venawh zeelnaak awi kqawn nyng.
And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;
13 Ma na Khawsa ak thekhanaak ingkaw thlangboel ak thekhanaak thlangna awm nawh thlakche na awm hlai nyng, a sim kaa ingkaw ak cangnaak kaana ka awm dawngawh ka venawh qeennaak ce dang law sak hy.
Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
14 Jesu Khrih awh ak awm cangnaak, lungnaak ingkaw Bawipa am qeennaak ce khawzahzah na kak khanawh ni hawk sih hy.
And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
15 “Khrih Jesu thlakthawlhkhqi thaawng hamna khawmdek awh law hy,” tive ypawm soeih nawh ak pawm tyyng soeih hy; aming lakawh thlakthawlh soeih na awm nyng.
This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
16 Cehlai ve ak camawh ni, Jesu Khrih ing thlakthawlh soeih kaiawh ve ak kawdung kawneemnaak boeih boeih ce a phonaak thai hamna; kumqui hqingnaak ak pang hamna amah ak cangnaak hly khqi huh saknaak hamna am qeennaak ka huh hy. (aiōnios g166)
However, for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show forth all long-suffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting. (aiōnios g166)
17 Kumqui Sangpahrang, amak thi thai qoe, huh thai na amak awm, Khawsa doeng a venawh, thangleeknaak ingkaw kqihchahnaak kumqui dy awm seh. Amen. (aiōn g165)
Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
18 Ka ca, Timote, nang awh awiphawng kak kqawn lawkhqi ce hquut nawh qaalleeknaak ing qaal na tuknaak thai ham awi ni pe nyng;
This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on you, that you by them might war a good warfare;
19 cangnaak ingkaw ak che ak leek hqimhqanaak thai ce ak cakna tu lah. Thlang a vang ingtaw cece hlahphlam unawh cangnaak benawh lawng ak see amyihna see boeih uhy.
Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:
20 Cekkhqi ak khuiawh Hymenias ingkaw Alexander awm paa hy nih, Khawsa thekhanaak kaana cukkik na ani awmnaak aham cekqawi ce Setan a kut awh pe hawh nyng.
Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered to Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.
