< 1 Timote 4 >

1 A hukhit awhtaw thlangvang ing cangnaak ce hlah phlam kawm usaw qaai a cawngpyinaak qaai kqawnkung myihla ben ce hquut kawm uh, tinawh Myihla ing ak caih cana kqawn hawh hy.
Now the Spirit manifestly saith, that in the last times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to spirits of error, and doctrines of devils,
2 Cemyih cawngpyinaakkhqi ce a qaai ak kqawn thlak thailat ak che ak leek simnaak kawlung ce thik hlawk ing ak dawi thlangkhqi venawh kawng law kaw.
Speaking lies in hypocrisy, and having their conscience seared,
3 Chungvanaak kham kawm usaw, ak cangnaak thlangkhqi ingkaw awitak ak sim thlangkhqi ing zeelnaak awi kqawn doena ai aham a sai awk ai avang ce ama ai aham kham pe kawm uh.
Forbidding to marry, to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving by the faithful, and by them that have known the truth.
4 Ikawtih Khawsa ing a sai ik-oeih boeih ve nep hy, zeelawi kqawnnaak ing ni ai awhtaw ikawm hoet kawi am awm hy;
For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be rejected that is received with thanksgiving:
5 Khawsak awi ingkaw cykcahnaak ing ciim sak hawh hy.
For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
6 Koeinaakhqi venawh ve ak awi ve nang zaaksak awhtaw, Jesu Khrih a bibikung leek na awm kawm tiksaw, cangnaak awitak ingkaw cawngpyinaak leek nang ing na hquut a dawngawh ak taai thlang na awm kawp ti.
These things proposing to the brethren, thou shalt be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished up in the words of faith, and of the good doctrine which thou hast attained unto.
7 Khawsa amak kqihchah ingkaw nucawngkhqi a syn awi mailaikhqi ce koeh ngaih nawh; Khawsak kawngaih ak sai ak thlang na awm law kawp ti.
But avoid foolish and old wives’ fables: and exercise thyself unto godliness.
8 Pumsa benawh kaw cawngpyinaak ve a phu taw awm lawt hlai hy, khawsa benawh kaw cawngpyinaak taw a soep hoeiawh a phu awm khqoet hy, tuhawhkaw hqingnaak ingkaw ak law hly kawi hqingnaak aham awm awikamnaak ak cak soeih na awm hy.
For bodily exercise is profitable to little: but godliness is profitable to all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
9 Do aham tyng hy tinaak awi ve a ypawm hy.
A faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.
10 (Ikawtih vawh bi ni bi nawh ni khuikha hy), thlang boeih a hulkung na ak awm nawh ak tungna ak cangnaak thlangkhqi ak hulkung, ak hqing Khawsa awh ningnih ing ngaih-uunaak ni ta uhy.
For therefore we labor and are reviled, because we hope in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, especially of the faithful.
11 Vek awi ve kqawn pe nawh cawngpyi lah.
These things command and teach.
12 Na naaseennaak thlang ing koeh ni husit seh; cehlai awikqawnnaak, khawsaknaak, lungnaak, cangnaak ingkaw ciimcaihnaak awh ak cangnaak thlangkhqi a toek kawi na awm kawp ti.
Let no man despise thy youth: but be thou an example of the faithful in word, in conversation, in charity, in faith, in chastity.
13 Kai ka law hlan dy, qangpui a venawh awiciim noetnaak, awikqawnnaak ingkaw cawngpyinaak ce ta law kawp ti.
Till I come, attend unto reading, to exhortation, and to doctrine.
14 Tawnghakhqi ing awikqawn unawh a hqaamcakhqi kut awhkawng Khawsa ing ani pek kutdo ce koeh dalqa pyi kawp ti.
Neglect not the grace that is in thee, which was given thee by prophesy, with imposition of the hands of the priesthood.
15 Thlang boeih a haiawh na taainaak ang dangnaak thai ham cekkhqi awhce nak tha hly sak nawh pum pe qu lah.
Meditate upon these things, be wholly in these things: that thy profiting may be manifest to all.
16 Namah ingkaw na cawngpyinaak awh ngaihta nawh; ce a them sai nawh awm poe lah; cemyih na sainaak ing namah ingkaw nak awi ak zaakhqi ce hulkhqi thai kawp ti.
Take heed to thyself and to doctrine: be earnest in them. For in doing this thou shalt both save thyself and them that hear thee.
