< 1 Thessalonika 5 >

1 Tuh koeinaakhqi, a tym ingkaw khawnghi akawng ce nangmih a venawh qee aham am ngoe hy,
But, concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, —ye have, no need, that, unto you, anything be written;
2 khawmthan awh quk-ai a law amyihna Bawipa a khawnghi ce law kaw, tice ak nep cana sim uhyk ti.
For, ye yourselves, perfectly well know—that, the day of the Lord, as a thief in the night, so, cometh;
3 Thlangkhqi ing Ngaihdingnaak ingkaw syng ypnaak,” tinawh amik kqawn awh, cekkhqi ak khanawh seetnaak ce pha pahoei kaw, nu pumqih ing ca a taak tawm awhkaw a tlawh tara amyihna, cekkhqi ce am loet kawm uh.
As soon as they begin to say—Peace! and safety! then, suddenly, upon them, cometh destruction, —just as the birth-throe unto her that is with child, —and in nowise shall they escape.
4 Cehlai koeinaakhqi tuh tloek awh quk-ai ing nangmih naming ngaih a kyi sak amyihna, thannaak ak khuiawh am awm uhyk ti.
But, ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that, the day, upon you, as upon thieves, should lay hold;
5 Nangmih taw vangnaak khawkdai a ca na awm boeih uhyk ti. Ningmih taw thannaak ingkaw khawmthan thlang na amni awm uhy.
For, all ye, are, sons of light, and sons of day, —we are not of night, nor of darkness:
6 Cedawngawh ak ip ak thlangkhqi amyihna koeh awm u sih, hqak unawh ngaihtaak u sih.
Hence, then, let us not be sleeping, as the rest, but let us watch and be sober: —
7 Ikawtih ak ip ak thlang taw than awh ni a ih, zu ak qui awm than awh ni am qui hy.
For, they that sleep, by night, do sleep, and, they that drink, by night, do drink: —
8 Cehlai ningnih taw khawkdai thlang na ni awm a dawngawh, ngaihtaak doena awm u sih, cangnaak ingkaw lungnaak ce kqangdan amyihna dam unawh, ngaih-unaak hulnaak ce thi lumyk amyihna myk u sih.
But, we, being of the day, let us be sober, putting on a breastplate of faith and love, and, for helmet, the hope of salvation.
9 Ikawtih Khawsa ing ningnih ve ak kawsonaak zawk aham amni tak khqi nawh ningnih a Bawipa Jesu Khrih ak caming hulnaak huh ahamni ani taak khqi.
Because God did not appoint us unto anger, but unto acquiring salvation through our Lord Jesus [Christ]: —
10 Ni hqak awh awm ni ih awh awm, amah ing hqing haih aham, anih ce thi hy.
Who died for us, in order that, whether we be watching or sleeping, together with him, we should live.
11 Cedawngawh nami sai khawi hawh amyihna, pynoet ingkaw pynoet tha pe qu unawh dyl ang hqoeng qu uh.
Wherefore be consoling one another, and building up, each the other, —even as ye are also doing.
12 Koeinaakhqi, nangmih anglakawh bi ak tlo soeih na ak bikhqi, Bawipa awh nangmih ak khanawh ak awmkhqi ingkaw nangmih anik cukkikkhqi ce kqihchah lawna lah uh.
Now we request you, brethren, —to know them who are toiling among you, and presiding over you, in the Lord, and admonishing you;
13 A mingmih a bibinaak awh ce ak sang soeih na pawm law unawh lung law na lah uh. Pynoet ingkaw pynoet qoep ang qui cana awm law uh.
And to hold them in very high esteem, in love, their work’s sake. Be at peace among yourselves,
14 Koeinaa tha ak damkhqi ce toel law uh, tha ak zawikhqi ce tha pe law uh, tha amak awmkhqi ce bawm law u nawhtaw, pynoet ingkaw pynoet kawdungnaak ing awm law uh.
But we exhort you, brethren—admonish the disorderly, soothe them of little soul, help the weak, be longsuffering towards all:
15 Thawlhnaak ce thawlhnaak ing am nami thungnaak aham ngaihta unawh, pynoet ingkaw pynoet ak khanawh thlang boeih ak khanawh qeennaak ta law uh.
See that none, evil for evil, unto any, do render: but, evermore, what is good, be pursuing, towards one another, and towards all:
16 Zeel poepa unawh:
Evermore, rejoice,
17 a boet kaana cykcah uh;
Unceasingly, pray,
18 ik-oeih soepkep awh zeelnaak awi kqawn lah uh, kawtih ve ve Jesu Khrih awh nangmih aham Khawsa a ngaihnaak na awm hy.
In everything, give thanks, —for, this, is a thing willed of God, in Christ Jesus, towards you:
19 Myihla maihchoei ce koeh thih law uh;
The Spirit, do not quench,
20 awiphawngnaak ve koeh hep uh.
Prophesyings, do not despise,
21 Ik-oeih soepkep noek a dak law uh. Ak leek ik-oeih ce tu qap uh.
[But], all things, put to the proof—what is comely, hold ye fast:
22 Ik-oeih amak leek boeih boeih ce re law uh.
From every form of wickedness, abstain.
23 Ngaihqepnaak Khawsa amah qoe ing nangmih ce ni ciim sak khqi seh. Naming myihla, hqingnaak ingkaw nami pum boeih ce nami a Bawipa Jesu Khrih a law awh coet a kap kaana awm law sak seh.
But, the God of peace himself, hallow you completely, and, entire, might your spirit, and soul, and body, —[so as to be] unblameable in the Presence of our Lord Jesus Christ, —be preserved!
24 Nangmih anik khykung ce ypawm thlang na a awm dawngawh anih ing awm law sak bit kaw.
Faithful, is he that is calling you, —who, also will perform.
25 Koeinaakhqi kaimih aham cykcah lah uh.
Brethren! be praying for us [also].
26 Koeinaakhqi boeih ce ak ciim mawknaak ing kut tlaih law uh.
Salute all the brethren with a holy kiss.
27 Vawhkaw capat ve koeinaakhqi boeih a venawh nami noet peek aham Bawipa a haiawh awi ni pek khqi nyng.
I adjure you, by the Lord, that the letter be read unto all the brethren!
28 Bawipa Jesu Khrih am qeennaak nangmih boeih ak khanawh awm seh.
The favour of our Lord Jesus Christ, be with you.
