Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,
2 Pa Khawsa ing sim oepchoeh nawh, Ciim Myihla ing a ciim saknaak ak caming, Jesu Khrih ak awi ngai nawh a thi ing syp aham ak tyh oepchoehkhqi venawh: Qeennaak ingkaw ngaihdingnaak khawzah na awm seh.
Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, to obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you, and peace, be multiplied.
3 Ningmih a Bawipa Jesu Khrih a Pa Khawsa venawh kyihcahnaak awm seh! Am qeennaak ak bau soeih ak caming ak hqing ngaih-unaak awh thihnaak awhkawng Jesu Khrih a thawh tlaihnaak ak caming ningnih ce ni thang sak khqi hawh hy,
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy has begotten us again to a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
4 amak qeeng thai, amak plawci thai ingkaw amak zai thai qo ce nangmih aham khawk khan awh ta law hawh hy,
To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fades not away, reserved in heaven for you,
5 cangnaak awh Khawsa ing khawnghi a boet awh ak dang law hly kawi hulnaak a law hlan dy boeimangnaak ing cekkhqi ce hlip ak chung khqi hawh hy.
Who are kept by the power of God through faith to salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
6 Tuh kyinaak soepkep awh kawlhkalh khuikha mai u tik seiawm vawh nangmih zeel uhyk ti.
Wherein you greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, you are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
7 Vemyihkhqi taw sui anglakawh a phu ak tlo khqoet, sui taw mai ing a tui na ni hloei awh plawci thai hyn hy, nangmih ak cangnaak ak cak ce Jesu Khrih ang dang law awh zoeksangnaak ingkaw kqihchahnaak huhnaak aham ni a awm hy.
That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perishes, though it be tried with fire, might be found to praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
8 Amah ce am hu hlai uhyk ti, lungna uhyk ti; tuh am hu u tik seiawm, cangna u tiksaw kqawn thai noeng am zeelnaak ing be uhyk ti,
Whom having not seen, you love; in whom, though now you see him not, yet believing, you rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
9 kawtih nangmih taw myihla hulnaak cangnaak hlahnaak ce hu kawm uk ti.
Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
10 Vawhkaw hulnaak awh, nangmih a venawh ak law hly kawi qeennaak akawng ak kqawn tawnghakhqi ing ngaihtaak doena ana sui uhy,
Of which salvation the prophets have inquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come to you:
11 a mingmih ak khuiawh ak awm Khrih Myihla ing Khrih ing a khuikha coengawh ak law hly kawi boeimangnaak akawng ak kqawn peek oepchoehnaak a tym ingkaw khawnghi ce ana sui uhy.
Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.
12 A mingmih ing a mimah a bi am bi unawh nangmih a bi ami binaak ce cawh a nang dang pe hawh hy, khan benna kawng tyih na ak awm Ciim Myihla ak caming nangmih a venawh awithang leek ak khypyikhqi ing nangmih a venawh a phawng lawnaak awi ce ni a mingmih ing ami nak kqawn hy.
To whom it was revealed, that not to themselves, but to us they did minister the things, which are now reported to you by them that have preached the gospel to you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.
13 Cedawngawh, bibi aham namik kawlungkhqi ce qoek abah lah uh; yhnaak ta law unawh taw; Jesu Khrih ang dang law awh nangmih a venawh peek na ak awm am qeennaak awh ngaih-unaak ce ta lah uh.
Why gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
14 Awi ak ngai cakhqi na nami awm dawngawh, ikaw awm am nami sim awh hy ngaihnaak amak leek awh nami awm amyihna koeh awm voel uh.
As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
15 Nangmih anik khykhqikung taw a ciim amyihna, nangmih awm ik-oeih nami sainaak hoei awh ak ciim cana awm lah uh;
But as he which has called you is holy, so be you holy in all manner of conversation;
16 Kai ka ciim dawngawh, nangmih awm ciim lah uh,” tinawh qee na awm hy.
Because it is written, Be you holy; for I am holy.
17 U a haai awm a toek kaana awi ak dengkung Pa ce nami taak dawngawh, kqihchahnaak ing khin amyihna khaw sa lah uh.
And if you call on the Father, who without respect of persons judges according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:
18 Nami pakdamkhqi ing nangmih a venawh a ceh law taak ce ak plawci thai sui ingkaw tangka ingkaw a hqawng a h qap hqing hulnaak amni tice sim uhyk ti,
For as much as you know that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
19 cehlai nangmih taw coet amak kap tuuca, Khrih a thi a phu ak tlo ing ni hul na nami awm hy.
But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
20 Anih cetaw khawmdek syn na a awm hlanawh ni tyk oepchoeh na a awm hawh hy, cehlai a tym a boet deng awh nangmih aham dang law hy.
Who truly was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
21 Anih ak caming amah ce thihnaak awhkawng thawh nawh ak zoeksangkung Khawsa ce cangna uhyk ti, cedawngawh nangmih ak cangnaak ingkaw ngaih-unaak taw Khawsa awh awm hy.
Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
22 Tuh taw awitak ngainaak ak caming na mimah ingkaw na mimah ciim hawh u tiksaw koeinaa lungnaak ta hawh uhyk ti. Pynoet ingkaw pynoet kawlung khuiawh lungnaak ak dung soeih ta hawh uhyk ti.
Seeing you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit to unfeigned love of the brothers, see that you love one another with a pure heart fervently:
23 Nangmih taw thang tlaih hawh uhyk ti, ak plawci thai ak ui awhkawng am nawh amak plawci thai awhkawng ni, ak hqing ingkaw ak cak khawsak awi awhkawng ni nami thang tlaih hawh hy. (aiōn g165)
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which lives and stays for ever. (aiōn g165)
24 Ikawtih, Thlang boeih ve qam amyihna ni a awm, a boeimangnaak awm qam a pai amyihna ni a awm hy; qam taw reu nawh a pai awm zai hy,
For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass wither, and the flower thereof falls away:
