< 1 Korin 11 >
1 Kai ing Khrih ka toek amyihna nangmih ing kai ve ni toek lawt lah uh.
Be ye followers of me, as I also am of Christ.
2 Ik-oeih soepkep awh kai ni sim unawh, ka cawngpyinaak namim tu loet adawngawh ni ym khqi nyng.
Now I praise you, brethren, that in all things you are mindful of me: and keep my ordinances as I have delivered them to you.
3 Cehlai pakhqi boeih a lu taw Khrih na awm hy, nu a lu taw pa na awm nawh, Khrih a lu taw Khawsa na awm hy tice sim sak ahamni ngaih khqi nyng.
But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
4 Pa ing a lu a sing doena cykcah nawh awi ak kqawn awhtaw amah a lu chah ak phyih ak pe ni.
Every man praying or prophesying with his head covered, disgraceth his head.
5 Cehlai nu ing a lu a sing kaana cykcah nawh awi ak kqawn awhtaw amah a lu chah ak pena awm nawh; lusam a voh ing myih hy.
But every woman praying or prophesying with her head not covered, disgraceth her head: for it is all one as if she were shaven.
6 Nu ing a lu ama sing awhtaw a lusam ce voh seh; Cehlai lu voh ce chahqai na ak poek awhtaw a lu ce sing seh nyng.
For if a woman be not covered, let her be shorn. But if it be a shame to a woman to be shorn or made bald, let her cover her head.
7 Pa taw Khawsa myi sam ingkaw a boeimangnaak na a awm adawngawh a lu a sing hly qoe am ni; nu taw pa a kyihcahnaak ni.
The man indeed ought not to cover his head, because he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of the man.
8 Ikawtih nu awhkawng pa ve am law hy, cehlai nu taw pa awhkawng ak law ni;
For the man is not of the woman, but the woman of the man.
9 nu aham pa ve saina am awm nawh, nu ce pa aham saina ak awm ni.
For the man was not created for the woman, but the woman for the man.
10 Ve akawng ingkaw khan ceityihkhqi akawng awh ve, nu ing a lu ak khanawh saithainaak hatnaak a taak aham awm hy.
Therefore ought the woman to have a power over her head, because of the angels.
11 Cehlai Bawipa awh nu ve pa kana am awm thai nawh, pa awm nu kana am awm thai lawt hy.
But yet neither is the man without the woman, nor the woman without the man, in the Lord.
12 Ikawtih nu ce pa awhkawng law nawh, pa awm nu awhkawng thang lawt hy. Cehlai ik-oeih boeih ve Khawsa awhkawng ak cawn boeih ni.
For as the woman is of the man, so also is the man by the woman: but all things of God.
13 Na mimah ing poek lah uh: Nu ing lu sing kana Khawsa venawh ak cykcah ce ak nep nu?
You yourselves judge: doth it become a woman, to pray unto God uncovered?
14 Khawmdek khawsaknaak qoe awh mah pa ing a lusam ak sai na am hlyn mantaw chahqai na awm nawh,
Doth not even nature itself teach you, that a man indeed, if he nourish his hair, it is a shame unto him?
15 nu ing a lusam ak sai soeih na a taak awhtaw a daawnaak na awm hy; a lusam taw a dah qunaak na a pek ni.
But if a woman nourish her hair, it is a glory to her; for her hair is given to her for a covering.
16 Cehlai ak oelh a awm awh awm ningnih venawh khawsak am ta unyng, Khawsa a thlangboelkhqi ingawm am ta uhy.
But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, nor the church of God.
17 Cehlai ve ak awi ka nik kqawn peek khqi caming am nim kyihcah khqi thai nyng, nami leeknaak hly kawina am nawh, nami seetnaak hly khqoet kawina naming cun adawngawh.
Now this I ordain: not praising you, that you come together not for the better, but for the worse.
18 Lammacykawh kang zaak taw, thlangboel kutoet na cun aham nami law awh, naming lakawh phek bonaak ce awm hy tinawh za nyng, cang awm cangna nyng.
For first of all I hear that when you come together in the church, there are schisms among you; and in part I believe it.
19 Naming lakawh a tak ang dangnaak thai ham, naming lakawh ap cangsuinaak awm ak awm hly qoe ni.
For there must be also heresies: that they also, who are approved, may be made manifest among you.
20 Naming cun awh Bawipa mybuh ak ai na am kawih uhyk ti,
When you come therefore together into one place, it is not now to eat the Lord’s supper.
21 thlang boeih ing nami mybuh ce lammaa na ai hoeih hoeih uhyk ti; cawh ce thlang pynoet ak phoen cawi nawh, thlang pynoet ing qui hy.
For every one taketh before his own supper to eat. And one indeed is hungry and another is drunk.
22 Ikawmyihna, nami awk ainaak aham im am nami ta nawh nu? Khawsa a thlangboel aw nami thekha naak, am awhtaw amak takhqi nami the kha naak awh nu? Ve a dawngawh ka nim kyih hlyk khqi nawh nu? Amnim kyih hlyk khqi qoe nyng!
What, have you not houses to eat and to drink in? Or despise ye the church of God; and put them to shame that have not? What shall I say to you? Do I praise you? In this I praise you not.
23 Ikawtih Bawipa venawh kawng ka huh veni ka nik kqawn law peek khqi petoe hy: Bawipa Jesu ing, a mim tu hly am than awh, phaihpi lo nawh,
For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus, the same night in which he was betrayed, took bread.
24 zeelawi ak kqawn coengawh, thek nawh, “Ve ve nangmih aham ka peek ka sa ni; kai nami ni simnaak poe aham sai law uh,” tinak khqi hy.
And giving thanks, broke, and said: Take ye, and eat: this is my body, which shall be delivered for you: this do for the commemoration of me.
25 Cemyih koep na, phaihpi ami ai coengawh boet ce lo bai nawh, “Ve ak boet taw ka thi awhkaw awikam thai ni; nami ni simnaak poe aham ve ve sai law uh,” tinak khqi hy.
In like manner also the chalice, after he had supped, saying: This chalice is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as often as you shall drink, for the commemoration of me.
26 Ikawtih vawhkaw phaihpi ai unawh boet nami awk a hoei awh, a law tlaih hlan dy awh Bawipa a thihnaak ce namik khypyi na awm hy.
For as often as you shall eat this bread, and drink the chalice, you shall shew the death of the Lord, until he come.
27 Cedawngawh, u awm Bawipa a phaihpi ingkaw boet ce kawna a sui kaana ai nawh ak aw taw Bawipa a pum ingkaw thi awh thawlhnaak ak sai ak thlang na awm hy.
Therefore whosoever shall eat this bread, or drink the chalice of the Lord unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and of the blood of the Lord.
28 U ingawm phaihpi ingkaw boet ce a awk a ai hlanawh ak nep cana poek qu seh.
But let a man prove himself: and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of the chalice.
29 U ingawm Bawipa a pum ak leekna ak poek qu kaana a awk a ai awhtaw ak khanawh awidengnaak ce pha kaw.
For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh judgment to himself, not discerning the body of the Lord.
30 Cawh ni naming lakawh tlo unawh ami mu hy, thlang vang ingtaw thi uhy ce.
Therefore are there many infirm and weak among you, and many sleep.
31 Nimah ingkaw nimah lamma na nik poek qu hqeet awhtaw awidengnaak amni hu kaw.
But if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
32 Bawipa ing awi a ni deng khqi awh khawmdek ingqawi thawlh sak haihna am ni awm naak a hamna Bawipa a toelna ni awm uhy.
But whilst we are judged, we are chastised by the Lord, that we be not condemned with this world.
33 Cedawngawh Koeinaakhqi, awk a ai aham nami law awh, qeh qu cang uh.
Wherefore, my brethren, when you come together to eat, wait for one another.
34 U awm ak phoen a cawih awhtaw, pynoet na naming cun awh awidengnaak ama huhnaak aham, im awh a ai aham awm hy. Kai ka law awh awi nik kqawn law pek khqi tlaih bit kawng nyng.
If any man be hungry, let him eat at home; that you come not together unto judgment. And the rest I will set in order, when I come.
