< Zekhariah 5 >

1 Ka mael tih, ka mik ka huel tih ka sawt vaengah cayol te tarha ding.
And once more lifted I mine eyes, and looked, —and lo! a Flying Volume.
2 Te vaengah kai te, “Balae na hmuh,” a ti. Te dongah, “Cayol aka ding te ka hmuh, a yun dong kul, a daang dong rha lo,” ka ti nah.
And he said unto me, What canst thou see? So I said, I, can see a flying volume, the length thereof, twenty by the cubit, and, the breadth thereof, ten by the cubit.
3 Te vaengah kai taengah, “He tah diklai hman boeih ah aka pha thaephoeinah ni. Aka huen boeih soah te dongkah bangla a hmil vetih aka toemngam boeih soah te dongkah bangla a hmil ni.
Then said he unto me, This, is the curse, which is going forth over the face of all the earth, —Because, every one who stealeth, on the one side, hath in one way been let off, and, every one who sweareth, on the other side, hath in another way been let off,
4 He tah caempuei BOEIPA kah olphong ni. Cayol ka khuen vetih hlanghuen im khui la, kai ming neh a honghi la aka toemngam im khuila kun ni. A im khui ah rhaehrhong vetih im khaw, a thing neh a lungto khaw a khah pah ni,” a ti.
[therefore] have I brought it forth, Declareth Yahweh of hosts, And it shall enter—into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth by my name, falsely, —and it shall roost in the midst of his house, and shall consume it, both the timbers thereof, and the stones thereof.
5 Te phoeiah kai taengkah aka cal puencawn ha pai tih kai taengah, “Na mik huel laeh lamtah mebang a thoeng he hmu,” a ti.
Then came forward, the messenger who was talking with me, —and said unto me—Lift up, I pray thee, thine eyes, and see what this is which is coming forth.
6 Te dongah, “Balae te,” ka ti nah hatah, “Cangnoek la aka thoeng he,” a ti. Te phoeiah, “He tah diklai tom kah amih mueimae ni,” a ti.
And I said, What is it? Then said he, This, is an ephah that is coming forth. And he said, This, is their iniquity, throughout all the land.
7 Te vaengah kawnlawk amsing te tarha rhoep uh tih cangnoek khui ah huta pakhat ana ngol.
And lo! a leaden disc uplifted, —and here a certain woman, sitting inside the ephah.
8 Te phoeiah, “Halangnah he,” a ti tih anih te cangnoek khui la a det. Te phoeiah tah a rhai te kawnlawk lung neh a nan.
Then said he, This, is Lawlessness. So he thrust her back inside the ephah, —and then thrust the leaden weight into the mouth thereof.
9 Ka mik ka huel bal tih ka sawt vaengah, huta rhoi te khohli dongah a phae neh tarha thoeng. Te rhoi kah a phae tah bungrho phae bangla om tih cangnoek te diklai laklo neh vaan laklo ah a khuen rhoi.
Then lifted I up mine eyes and looked, and lo! Two Women coming forward, with the wind in their wings, and, they, had wings, like the wings of the stork, —and bare up the ephah, between the earth and the heavens.
10 Te dongah kai taengah aka cal puencawn te, “Cangnoek te melam a khuen rhoi?,” ka ti nah.
Then said I unto the messenger who was speaking with me, —Whither are they carrying the ephah?
11 Te vaengah kai taengah, “Shinar kho ah a im la a sak. Sikim coeng tih a tungkho dongah pahoi a hol ni,” a ti.
And he said unto me, To build for it a house in the land of Shinar, —so shall it be ready, and they shall settle it there, upon its own base?
