< Tingtoeng 73 >
1 Asaph kah Tingtoenglung Thinko aka caih Israel taengah Pathen tah then taktak.
A Psalm of Asaph. Truly God [is] good to Israel, [even] to such as are of a clean heart.
2 Tedae kai tah ka kho he bet bung khaw bung bangla, ka khokan paloe khaw paloe pawt bangla ka om.
But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped.
3 Halang rhoek loh ngaimongnah neh a thangthen uh te ka hmuh vaengah ka thatlai coeng.
For I was envious at the foolish, [when] I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
4 Amih tah dueknah dongah thuengthuelnah om pawt tih, a pumtak khaw len.
For [there are] no bands in their death: but their strength [is] firm.
5 hlanghing kah thakthaenah loh amih te nan pawt tih hlanghing taengkah lucik khaw ya uh pawh.
They [are] not in trouble [as other] men; neither are they afflicted like [other] men.
6 Te dongah hoemnah te amih kah oihnun la om tih, a kuthlahnah hnisui a khuk uh.
Therefore pride encompasseth them as a chain; violence covereth them [as] a garment.
7 A mik tha te coe tih, a thinko ngaihlihnah loh vikvuek uh.
Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish.
8 Boethae neh palawm uh tih cal uh. Hnaemtaeknah neh a sang la cal uh.
They are corrupt, and speak wickedly [concerning] oppression: they speak loftily.
9 A ka te vaan ah a tael dae a lai loh diklai ah cet.
They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.
10 Te dongah a pilnam loh hela ha mael ha mael tih khuengrhueng tui a yawn uh.
Therefore his people return hither: and waters of a full [cup] are wrung out to them.
11 Te vaengah, “Pathen loh metlam a ming tih, Khohni taengah lungming khaw om van nim,” a ti uh.
And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the Most High?
12 Amih halang rhoek pataeng kumhal ah a khuehtawn loh thayoeituipan la a rhoeng pah daeta ke.
Behold, these [are] the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase [in] riches.
13 A poeyoek la ka thinko ka saelh tih, cimnah neh ka kut ka silh dae.
Verily I have cleansed my heart [in] vain, and washed my hands in innocence.
14 Tedae hnin takuem lucik neh ka om tih mincang takuem ah kai taengah toelthamnah ha om.
For all the day long have I been afflicted, and chastened every morning.
15 Te tlam te ka tae koinih na ca rhoek kah thawnpuei te kan hnukpoh tak ve ka ti.
If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend [against] the generation of thy children.
16 Hekah he ming ham ka moeh dae ka mik ah thakthaenah la om.
When I thought to know this, it [was] too painful for me;
17 Pathen kah rhokso khuila ka kun daengah amih kah hmailong te ka yakming.
Until I went into the sanctuary of God; [then] I understood their end.
18 Amih te long hnal ah na khueh tih pocinah la na cungku sak taktak.
Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: thou didst cast them down into destruction.
19 Mikhaptok ah mueirhih loh imsuep neh a thup uh tih a cing te metlam a om uh.
How are they [brought] into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors.
20 Haenghang hnukah mueimang bangla ka Boeipa loh amih kah mueihlip a haenghang vaengah hnael pah.
As a dream when [one] awaketh; [so], O LORD, when thou awakest, thou wilt despise their image.
21 Ka thinko loh khikhi hal tih ka hmuet a phawt vaengah.
Thus my heart was grieved, and I was pricked in my reins.
22 Kai loh ka kotalh tih na hmaiah rhamsa bangla ka om khaw ka ming pawh.
So foolish [was] I, and ignorant: I was [as] a beast before thee.
23 Tedae kai tah nang taengah ka om taitu tih ka bantang kut nan tuuk.
Nevertheless I [am] continually with thee: thou hast held [me] by my right hand.
24 Na cilsuep neh kai nan mawt tih thangpomnah hnukah kai nan khoem ni.
Thou wilt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me [to] glory.
25 Vaan dongah kai ham unim aka om. Tedae namah taengah ka om atah diklai ah ba khaw ka ngaih pawh.
Whom have I in heaven [but thee]? and [there is] none upon earth [that] I desire besides thee.
26 Ka pumsa neh ka thinko loh yawk mai suidae kumhal ah ka thinko kah lungpang neh ka hamsum la Pathen om.
My flesh and my heart faileth: [but] God [is] the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
27 Namah lamkah a hlahloei loh a milh uh vaengah, nang taengah aka cukhalh boeih te na biit taktak coeng he.
For lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go astray from thee.
28 Tedae kai loh kamah ham Pathen vang te ka kai. Na bitat cungkuem thui hamla ka hlipyingnah ka Boeipa Yahovah taengah a then ka khueh.
But [it is] good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.
