1 BOEIPA nang dongah ka ying tih, kumhal ah yah m'poh sak boeh.
By David, [a Psalm sung by] the sons of Jonadab, and the first that were taken captive. O Lord, I have hoped in you: let me never be put to shame.
2 Na duengnah neh, kai na huul tih nan hlawt. Te dongah na hna te kai taengla han hooi lamtah, kai n'khang lah.
In your righteousness deliver me and rescue me: incline your ear to me, and save me.
3 Caeh taitu vaengkah ham, kai taengah lungpang khuirhung la ha om lah. Namah te ka thaelpang neh ka rhalvong la na om dongah, kai khang ham khaw na uen.
Be to me a protecting God, and a strong hold to save me: for you are my fortress and my refuge.
4 Ka Pathen aw, halang kut lamloh, aka phayoe tih aka muen kah kutpha lamloh, kai n'hlawt lah.
Deliver me, O my God, from the hand of the sinner, from the hand of the transgressor and unjust man.
5 Ka Boeipa Yahovah namah tah, ka ngaiuepnah neh, ka camoe lamkah ka pangtungnah ni.
For you are my support, O Lord; O Lord, [you are] my hope from my youth.
6 Bungko khui lamkah nang dongah ka hangdang coeng. Namah loh a nu ko khui lamkah kai nan poh. Namah te kai kah koehnah la na om yoeyah.
On you have I been stayed from the womb: from the belly of my mother you are my protector: of you is my praise continually.
7 Hlang tom taengah mikdairhueng bangla ka om cakhaw namah te ka hlipyingnah sarhi la na om.
I am become as it were a wonder to many: but you are [my] strong helper.
8 Namah kah boeimangnah rhangneh namah koehnah te hnin takuem ka ka ah baetawt.
Let my mouth be filled with praise, that I may hymn your glory, [and] your majesty all the day.
9 Ka patong tue vaengah kai m'voei boeh. Ka thadueng a bawt vaengah kai nan hnoo mahpawh.
Cast me not off at the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength fails.
10 Ka thunkha rhoek loh kai taengah cal uh tih ka hinglu dawn ham tun caai uh.
For mine enemies have spoken against me; and they that lay wait for my soul have taken counsel together,
11 “Anih he Pathen loh a hnoo coeng dongah hloem uh sih lamtah tu uh sih. Anih aka huul ham khaw hlang a om moenih,” a ti uh.
saying, God has forsaken him: persecute you and take him; for there is none to deliver [him].
12 Pathen aw kai taeng lamkah lakhla tak boeh. Kai bomkung ham ka Pathen nang ha tawn rhoe ha tawn uh laeh.
O God, go not far from me, O my God, draw near to my help.
13 Ka hinglu aka khingkhoek rhoek te yahpok uh saeh lamtah hmata uh saeh. Kai kah yoethae aka hue rhoe te kokhahnah neh mingthae loh thing uh saeh.
Let those that plot against my soul be ashamed and utterly fail: let those that seek my hurt be clothed with shame and dishonour.
14 Tedae kai loh ka ngaiuep yoeyah vetih namah koehnah te boeih ka khoep ni.
But I will hope continually, and will praise you more and more.
15 Nan khangnah te taenah ham ka ming pawt cakhaw na duengnah te ka ka loh hnin takuem a tae bitni.
My mouth shall declare your righteousness openly, [and] your salvation all the day; for I am not acquainted with the affairs [of men].
16 Ka Boeipa Yahovah kah thayung thamal khuila ka lo vetih, namah bueng dongah ni na duengnah ka thoelh eh.
I will go on in the might of the Lord: O Lord, I will make mention of your righteousness only.
17 Pathen aw, ka camoe lamkah kai nan cang puei dongah tahae duela namah kah khobaerhambae te ka doek.
O God, you have taught me from my youth, and until now will I declare your wonders;
18 Pathen aw, thawnpuei taengah na bantha, hmailong kah aka lo ham boeih taengah na thayung thamal ka doek hlanhil tah patong sampok la ka om cakhaw kai nan hnoo mahpawh.
even until I am old and advanced in years. O God, forsake me not; until I shall have declared your arm to all the generation that is to come:
19 Tedae Pathen na duengnah loh a sang duela a puet. Pathen loh duelhduelh na saii te, namah bangla ulae aka om?
even your power and your righteousness, O God, up to the highest [heavens, even] the mighty works which you has done: O God, who is like to you?
20 Kai he citcai neh yoethaenah muep nan hmuh khaw nan hmuh sak dae koep nan hing khaw nan hing sak vetih diklai laedil lamkah koep nan lat bal ni.
What afflictions many and sore have you showed me! yet you did turn and quicken me, and brought me again from the depths of the earth.
21 Ka lennah nan pueh vetih kai nan hloep bal ni.
You did multiply your righteousness, and did turn and comfort me, and brought me again out of the depths of the earth.
22 Kai khaw ka Pathen namah kah uepomnah te thangpa toembael neh kan uem vetih Israel kah a cim namah te rhotoeng neh ka tingtoeng ni.
I will also therefore give thanks to you, O God, [because of] your truth, on an instrument of psalmody: I will sing psalms to you on the harp, O Holy One of Israel.
23 Ka hinglu he na lat coeng dongah nang te kan tingtoeng vaengah ka hmui ka lai neh ka tamhoe ni.
My lips shall rejoice when I sing to you; and my soul, which you have redeemed.
24 Kai kah yoethae aka hue rhoek loh yah a poh uh tih a hmai a tal uh coeng dongah ka lai long khaw hnin takuem nang kah duengnah te a thuep ni.
Moreover also my tongue shall dwell all the day upon your righteousness; when they shall be ashamed and confounded that seek my hurt.
