1 Rhotoeng aka mawt ham a lung rhet dongkah David Tingtoenglung Aw BOEIPA, na thintoek neh nan tluung pawt tih, na kosi neh kai nan toel moenih.

“For the leader of the music; to be accompanied with stringed instruments; to the octave. A psalm of David.” O LORD! rebuke me not in thine anger; Chasten me not in thy hot displeasure!

2 Aw BOEIPA, Kai ka thana sut dongah kai n'rhen mai. Ka rhuh a hlinghlawk dongah kai n'hoeih sak lah BOEIPA.

Have pity upon me, O LORD! for I am weak; Heal me, O LORD! for my bones tremble!

3 Te dongah ka hinglu loh mat let coeng. Tedae BOEIPA nang me hil nim na koe ve?

My soul, also, is sore troubled; And thou, O LORD! how long—?

4 Aw BOEIPA, ha mael laeh. Ka hinglu he pumcum sak lamtah, na sitlohnah neh kai he n'khang lah.

Return, O LORD! and deliver me; Oh, save me according to thy mercy!

5 Dueknah khuiah nang aka poek te a om moenih. Nang te saelkhui lamkah ulong n'uem eh? (Sheol h7585)

For in death no praise is given to thee; In the underworld who can give thee thanks? (Sheol h7585)

6 Ka hueinah nen khaw ka kohnue coeng tih, khoyin takuem ka baiphaih dongah puet ka yoka. Te dongahka mikphi neh ka soengca ka sulpuem sak.

I am weary with my groaning; All the night I make my bed to swim, And drench my couch with my tears.

7 Ka mik khaw konoinah neh hmaang tih ka puencak cungkuem dongah ka haimo coeng.

Mine eye is wasted with grief; It hath become old because of all my enemies.

8 Ka rhah ol he BOEIPA loh a yaak coeng dongah boethae aka saii boeih kai taeng lamkah nong uh laeh.

Depart from me, all ye that do iniquity; For the LORD heareth the voice of my weeping.

9 BOEIPA loh ka lungmacil a yaak tih, BOEIPA loh ka thangthuinah a doe.

The LORD heareth my supplication; The LORD accepteth my prayer.

10 Ka thunkha boeih loh yak uh saeh lamtah darhek let uh saeh. Mikhaptok ah mael uh saeh lamtah yak uh saeh.

All my enemies shall be ashamed and utterly confounded; They shall be turned back, and put to shame suddenly.
