1 Aka mawt ham Saul taeng lamloh lungko khuila a yong vaengkah David kah, “Phae Boeh “Laa Pathen aw kai n'rhen dae, kai n'rhen dae. Ka hinglu loh nang dongah ying tih talnah he a poeng hil, na phae hlip ah ka ying ni.
“To the chief musician, Al-tashcheth, by David, a Michtham, when he fled from Saul, in the cave.” Be gracious unto me, O God, be gracious unto me; for in thee my soul seeketh protection, and under the shadow of thy wings will I seek protection, until the mischief be passed away.
2 Kai ham hma aka khap Pathen te Sangkoek Khohni, Pathen la ka khue.
I will call unto God, the Most High; unto God that accomplisheth [his kindness] on me.
3 Vaan lamkah han tueih tih kai n'khang, kai aka hloem khaw a veet. (Selah) Pathen loh a sitlohnah neh a oltak te a tueih.
He will send from heaven, and save me, though he that longeth to swallow me up utter reproach. (Selah) God will send forth his kindness and his truth.
4 Ka hinglu he hlang capa boeih aka hlawp, sathuengnu rhoek lakli ah ka yalh. A no khaw caai neh thaltang la om tih a lai te cunghang bangla haat.
My soul is in the midst of lions; I lie down [in the midst of] those that send out flames, [those] sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and whose tongue is a sharpened sword.
5 Pathen he vaan rhoek soah pomsang pai saeh. Namah kah thangpomnah loh diklai pum khuk thil saeh.
Be thou exalted above the heavens, O God: above all the earth let thy glory be.
6 Ka khokan ah lawk a tung uh tih ka hinglu loh duengyai sut. Kai hmai kah a vueh uh rhom khui ah cungku uh. (Selah)
A net have they prepared for my steps; my soul hath been bent down; they have dug before me a pit; they are fallen into the midst thereof. (Selah)
7 Ka lungbuei cikngae ngawn Pathen aw. Ka lungbuei cikngae neh ka hlai vetih ka tingtoeng ni.
Firm is my heart, O God, firm is my heart: I will sing and play.
8 Ka thangpomnah aw haenghang laeh. Thangpa neh rhotoeng haenghang laeh. Mincang ah haenghang pawn ni.
Awake, my spirit; awake, psaltery and harp: I will wake up the morning-dawn.
9 Ka Boeipa nang te pilnam rhoek taengah kan uem vetih, namtu rhoek taengah kan tingtoeng ni.
I will thank thee among the people, O Lord: I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.
10 Na sitlohnah loh vaan duela, na uepomnah loh khomong khaw a puet.
For great, even unto the heavens, is thy kindness, and even unto the skies [extendeth] thy truth.
11 Pathen he vaan rhoek boeih soah pomsang pai saeh. Namah kah thangpomnah loh diklai pum khuk thil saeh.
Be thou exalted above the heavens, O God: above all the earth let thy glory be.
