1 Rhotoeng neh aka mawt ham, “Ziphim loh Saul taengla cet tih kaimih taengah David a thuh moenih, a ti nah vaengkah, David hlohlai Aw Pathen na ming neh kai n'khang lamtah, na thayung thamal neh kai n'tang sak.
To the Overseer with stringed instruments. — An instruction, by David, in the coming in of the Ziphim, and they say to Saul, 'Is not David hiding himself with us?' O God, by Thy name save me, and by Thy might judge me.
2 Aw Pathen, ka thangthuinah he ya lamtah, ka ka lamkah ol he hnatun lah.
O God, hear my prayer, Give ear to the sayings of my mouth,
3 Hlanglak rhoek kai taengah tlai uh tih, hlanghaeng neh a hmai kah Pathen te, a nawt na uh kolla ka hinglu a mae uh. (Selah)
For strangers have risen up against me And terrible ones have sought my soul, They have not set God before them. (Selah)
4 Kai he Pathen loh m'bom tih, ka hinglu aka talong rhoek taengah ka Boeipa om ke.
Lo, God [is] a helper to me, The Lord [is] with those supporting my soul,
5 Ka lungawn rhoek soah a thae neh thuung rhoe thuung lamtah, na oltak neh amih te biit lah.
Turn back doth the evil thing to mine enemies, In Thy truth cut them off.
6 Na taengah kothoh te, kan nawn saeh lamtah na then dongah BOEIPA nang ming te ka uem eh.
With a free will-offering I sacrifice to Thee, I thank Thy name, O Jehovah, for [it is] good,
7 Citcai cungkuem lamkah kai n'huul tih, ka thunkha rhoek te ka mik loh a sawt.
For, from all adversity He delivered me, And on mine enemies hath mine eye looked!
