1 Rhotoeng neh aka mawt ham David kah Tingtoenglung Ka duengnah Pathen te ka khue vaengah ka taengah nan doo tih, rhal khui lamkah kai te nan voelphoeng sak. Kai n'rhen lamtah ka thangthuinah he han ya lah.
To the chief Musician on Neginoth, A Psalm of David. Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me [when I was] in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.
2 Hlang capa rhoek aw, kai thangpomnah te me hil nim mingthae la a om ve? A poeyoek te nim na lungnah uh vetih, laithae nim na tlap uh eh? (Selah)
O ye sons of men, how long [will ye turn] my glory into shame? [how long] will ye love vanity, [and] seek after falsehood? (Selah)
3 Te dongah BOEIPA loh hlangcim te amah ham a hoep tila ming lah. Amah te ka khue vaengah, BOEIPA loh a yaak ni.
But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call to him.
4 Na tlai nen khaw tholh uh boeh. Na thinko neh na thingkong dongah thui lamtah kuemsuem lah. (Selah)
Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. (Selah)
5 Duengnah hmueih te nawn lamtah BOEIPA dongah pangtung lah.
Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.
6 Ulae kaimih a then aka tueng thai eh aka ti khaw yet. Aw BOEIPA na maelhmai kah a aa neh, kaimih soah han tue lah.
[There are] many that say, Who will show us [any] good? LORD, lift thou upon us the light of thy countenance.
7 Cangpai neh misur thai a thawt tue vaengkah lakah ka lungbuei ah kohoenah nan paek.
Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time [when] their corn and their wine increased.
8 BOEIPA nang bueng daengloh, kai he ngaikhuek la kho nan sak sak dongah, ngaimong la ka yalh vetih ka ih puei ni.
I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep; for thou only, LORD, makest me dwell in safety.
