1 David kah Hlohlai Tholh a vuei pah tih, dumlai a hlah pah te a yoethen.
[A Psalm] of instruction by David. Blessed [are they] whose transgressions are forgiven, and who sins are covered.
2 BOEIPA loh anih taengah thaesainah te poek pah pawt tih a mueihla te vuelvaeknah dongah aka om pawt hlang tah a yoethen.
Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin, and whose mouth there is no guile.
3 Hil ka phah tih hnin at puet kah ka kawknah loh ka rhuh hmawn.
Because I kept silence, my bones waxed old, from my crying all the day.
4 Khoyin khothaih kai he na kut loh n'nan tih khohal kholing kah ka hlantui la poeh. (Selah)
For day and night your hand was heavy upon me: I became thoroughly miserable while a thorn was fastened in [me]. (Pause)
(Selah)
I acknowledged my sin, and hid not mine iniquity: I said, I will confess mine iniquity to the Lord against myself; and you forgave the ungodliness of my heart. (Pause)
6 Te dongah hlangcim boeih loh a tue a om vaengah namah taengla thangthui saeh. Te daengah ni lungpook tui a yet vaengah anih te a pha pawt eh.
Therefore shall every holy one pray to you in a fit time: only in the deluge of many waters they shall not come near to him.
7 Nang tah kai ham hlipyingnah ni. Rhal khui lamkah kai he nan kueinah dongah kai hlawt ham lumlaa neh nan vael. (Selah)
You are my refuge from the affliction that encompasses me; my joy, to deliver me from them that have compassed me. (Pause)
8 Nang kan cangbam sak vetih caeh long te nang kan thuinuet ni. Kan uen vetih ka mik te nang soah ka khueh ni.
I will instruct you and guide you in this way wherein you shall go: I will fix mine eyes upon you.
9 Ba aka yakming pawh marhang neh muli-marhang bangla om boeh. Anih te ka kah a kam te kamrhui neh na tu pawt koinih nang taengla halo mahpawh.
Be you not as horse and mule, which have no understanding; [but you must] constrain their jaws with bit and curb, lest they should come near to you.
10 Halang ham nganboh yet dae BOEIPA dongah aka pangtung tah sitlohnah loh a vael.
Many are the scourges of the sinner: but him that hopes in the Lord mercy shall compass about.
11 BOEIPA ah omngaih uh lamtah kohoe la om uh lah. Lungbuei aka dueng neh aka thuem boeih loh tamhoe uh lah.
Be glad in the Lord, and exult, you righteous: and glory, all you that are upright in heart.
