1 Mincang ah sayuk rhuinu taengah aka mawt ham David kah Tingtoenglung Ka Pathen, ka Pathen, ba ham lae kai nan hnoo sut tih kai kah khangnah, ka kawknah ol neh nan lakhla tak?
To the Overseer, on 'The Hind of the Morning.' — A Psalm of David. My God, my God, why hast Thou forsaken me? Far from my salvation, The words of my roaring?
2 Aw ka Boeipa Pathen khothaih ah ka pang dae nan doo pawt tih khoyin ah khaw ka duemnah om pawh.
My God, I call by day, and Thou answerest not, And by night, and there is no silence to me.
3 Tedae nang tah Israel kah koehnah dongah a cim la na ngol coeng.
And Thou [art] holy, Sitting — the Praise of Israel.
4 A pa rhoek loh nang dongah pangtung uh. A pangtung uh dongah amih te na hlawt.
In Thee did our fathers trust — they trusted, And Thou dost deliver them.
5 Nang taengah pang uh tih a poeng a hal uh coeng. Nang dongah pangtung uh tih yak uh pawh.
Unto Thee they cried, and were delivered, In Thee they trusted, and were not ashamed.
6 Tedae kai he talam ni, hlang moenih. Hlang kah kokhahnah neh pilnam kah a hnaep hlang ni.
And I [am] a worm, and no man, A reproach of man, and despised of the people.
7 Kai aka hmu boeih loh, kai taengah a hmui te a saibaeh uh phoeiah lu a hinghuen uh tih,
All beholding me do mock at me, They make free with the lip — shake the head,
8 ”BOEIPA dongah a hmae dongah BOEIPA amah dongah hangdang saeh anih te hlawt saeh lamtah huul saeh,” tila n'tamdaeng uh.
'Roll unto Jehovah, He doth deliver him, He doth deliver him, for he delighted in him.'
9 Tedae namah loh bung khui lamkah kai nan poh tih, a nu kah rhangsuk dongah kai nan pangtung sak.
For thou [art] He bringing me forth from the womb, Causing me to trust, On the breasts of my mother.
10 Bung khui lamkah ka om paek vaengah nang dongah ka voei uh. A nu bung khui lamkah mah nang he kai kah Pathen ni.
On Thee I have been cast from the womb, From the belly of my mother Thou [art] my God.

Many bulls have surrounded me, Mighty ones of Bashan have compassed me,

They have opened against me their mouth, A lion tearing and roaring.
14 Tui bangla n'hawk uh tih ka rhuh khaw boeih phit coeng. Ka lungbuei he khoirhat bangla om tih ka ko khui ah paci coeng.
As waters I have been poured out, And separated themselves have all my bones, My heart hath been like wax, It is melted in the midst of my bowels.
15 Ka thadueng he paikaek bangla rhae tih, ka lai khaw ka dang la kap coeng. Te dongah dueknah laipi khuila kai nan tloeng.
Dried up as an earthen vessel is my power, And my tongue is cleaving to my jaws.
16 Ui rhoek loh kai n'hil uh tih, thaehuet hlangboel loh kai m'vael. Ka kut ka kho han toeh uh.
And to the dust of death thou appointest me, For surrounded me have dogs, A company of evil doers have compassed me, Piercing my hands and my feet.
17 Ka rhuh boeih ka tae thai. Amih loh kai he m'paelki uh tih m'hmuh uh.
I count all my bones — they look expectingly, They look upon me,
18 Ka himbai te amamih tael uh thae tih kai kah, pueinak ham hmulung a naan uh.
They apportion my garments to themselves, And for my clothing they cause a lot to fall.
19 Tedae BOEIPA nang loh n'lakhla tak boeh. Ka thayung aw kai bomnah ham ha tawn uh laeh.
And Thou, O Jehovah, be not far off, O my strength, to help me haste.
20 Ka hinglu he cunghang lamkah, ka oingaih cangloeng te ui kut lamkah han huul lah.
Deliver from the sword my soul, From the paw of a dog mine only one.
21 Sathueng ka lamkah kai n'khang lamtah cung ki dong lamkah kai he n'doo lah.
Save me from the mouth of a lion: — And — from the horns of the high places Thou hast answered me!
22 Ka manuca taengah na ming ka doek vetih namah te hlangping lakli ah kan thangthen eh.

For He hath not despised, nor abominated, The affliction of the afflicted, Nor hath He hidden His face from him, And in his crying unto Him He heareth.

For to Jehovah [is] the kingdom, And He is ruling among nations.
29 Diklai kuirhang boeih loh a caak uh vetih anih hmai ah bakop uh ni. Laipi la aka suntla neh a hinglu aka hing pawt boeih khaw cungkueng uh ni.
And the fat ones of earth have eaten, And they bow themselves, Before Him bow do all going down to dust, And he [who] hath not revived his soul.
30 A tii a ngan loh amah taengah tho a thueng uh vetih, thawnpuei taengah Boeipa kawng a doek ni.

They come and declare His righteousness, To a people that is borne, that He hath made!
