< Tingtoeng 139 >
1 Aka mawt ham David kah Tingtoenglung BOEIPA aw kai nan khe tih nan ming coeng.
To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known [me].
Thou knowest my down-sitting and my up rising, thou understandest my thought afar off.
Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted [with] all my ways.
4 BOEIPA aw boeih na ming bangla ka lai dongah ol a om moenih he.
For [there is] not a word on my tongue, [but] lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.
5 A hnuk a hmai la kai nan thingthung tih kai soah na kut nan tloeng thil.
Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thy hand upon me.
6 Mingnah loh mangvawt la mangvawt coeng tih kai lakah a pomdoep te tah ka pha moenih.
[Such] knowledge [is] too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot [attain] to it.
Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
(Sheol )
If I ascend into heaven, thou [art] there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou [art there]. (Sheol )
9 Mincang phae ka phuel tih tuitun rhalvang ah kho ka sak.
[If] I take the wings of the morning, [and] dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.
11 “Khohmuep loh kai n'thing,” ka ti ngawn cakhaw khoyin he ka taengvai ah vangnah la poeh.
If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.
12 Khohmuep pataeng namah taengah hmuep pawh. Te dongah khoyin te khothaih bangla, tamyin khaw khosae bangla sae ni.
Yes, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light [are] both alike [to thee].
13 Namah loh ka kuel khaw na lai tih a nu bungko khuiah kai nan cun coeng.
For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
14 Namah te kang hiin dongah ni kang uem. Na bibi khaw khobaerhambae la khobaerhambae coeng tih ka hinglu loh phaeng a ming.
I will praise thee: for I am fearfully [and] wonderfully made: wonderful [are] thy works; and [that] my soul well knoweth.
15 Ka thaa khaw namah taeng lamloh a thuh moenih. A huephael ah n'saii tih diklai laedil ah n'hlom.
My substance was not hid from thee when I was made in secret, [and] curiously formed in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Ka pumho he na mik loh a hmuh coeng.
Thy eyes saw my substance, yet being imperfect; and in thy book all [my members] were written, [which] in continuance were fashioned, when [as yet there was] none of them.
17 Te dongah Pathen namah na mangtaengnah tah kai ham bahoeng a phutlo tih a hnun bahoeng ting.
How precious also are thy thoughts to me, O God! how great is the sum of them!
18 Te te ka tae ham khaw laivin lakah puh. Ka haenghang vaengah kai khaw namah taengla ka om pueng.
[If] I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.
19 Pathen aw halang ke na rhaem oeh atah hlang thii he kai taeng lamloh khoe mai.
Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.
20 Namah te tangkhuepnah neh a thui tih na rhal rhoek loh a poeyoek la a phueih.
For they speak against thee wickedly, [and] thy enemies take [thy name] in vain.
Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?
22 Ka taengah thunkha la a om uh dongah amih te hmuhuetnah neh a khuetnah ka thiinah.
I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them my enemies.
23 Pathen aw kai n'khe lamtah ka thinko ming lah. Kai noemcai lamtah ka mangvawtnah he ming lah.
Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my thoughts:
24 Tedae ka khuikah tloh longpuei hmu lamtah kumhal longpuei ah kai m'mawt lah.
And see if [there is any] wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
