1 Tangtlaeng Laa Kamah kah citcai khuiah BOEIPA te ka khue tih kai n'doo.

What shall be given unto thee? or what shall be done unto thee, thou false tongue?

Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper.

5 Meshek ah ka bakuep tih Kedar dap ah kho ka sak dongah kai ngawn tah ka tuisawih coeng!

Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, [that] I dwell in the tents of Kedar!

6 Rhoepnah aka hmuhuet taengah ka hinglu loh kho puet a sak coeng.

My soul hath long dwelt with him that hateth peace.

7 Kai loh rhoepnah ka thui vaengah amih te caemtloek la thoouh.

I [am for] peace: but when I speak, they [are] for war.
