1 Aw BOEIPA, balae tih mueirhih tue vaengah a hla la na thuh tih na pai?
Yahweh, (why are you far away [from us]?/it seems that you are far away [from us].) [RHQ] Why do you not pay attention when we have troubles [RHQ]?
2 Halang kah a hoemnahloh mangdaeng te a hlak dae tangkhuepnah neh a moeh rhoek long te amamih lat a tuuk.
People who are proud gladly cause poor people to suffer. So [cause what they do to others to happen to them]! May they be caught in the [same] traps that they set to catch others [MET]!
3 Halang tah a hinglu kah hoehhamnah dongah yan uh tih, aka mueluem loh BOEIPA yah aka bai te a uem.
They brag about the [evil] things that they want to do. They praise people who seize from others things that do not belong to them, and they curse you, Yahweh.
4 Halang tah oeknah neh a thintoek a khueh. Pathen te toem pawt tih, a thuepnah boeih dongah om pawh.
Wicked people are very proud. As a result, they do not (seek help from/are not concerned about) God; they do not even think that God exists.
5 A longpuei a longpuei te a tue boeih ah kilkul. Na laitloeknah te anih hmai lamloh a sang pah. Anih aka daengdaeh boeih khaw amamih te lat a sat.
But [it seems that] they succeed in everything that they do. They do not think that they will be condemned/punished for their deeds, and they (sneer at/make fun of) their enemies.
6 A lungbuei ah, “Thawnpuei lamkah thawnpuei due ka tuen pawt vetih ka yoethae mahpawh,” a ti.
They think, “Nothing bad will happen to us! We will never have troubles!”
7 A ka dongah olthae olkha, hlangthai palat ya neh hnaephnapnah bae tih a lai dongah thakthaenah neh boethae ni aka om.
When they talk [MTY], they are always cursing, lying, and threatening to harm others. They constantly say [MTY] evil things that show that they are ready to do cruel things to others.
8 Vong kaep kah rhong ah ngol tih, a huephael ah ommongsitoe a ngawn. A mik neh mangdaeng mangtok te a mae uh.
They hide in villages, ready to (ambush/suddenly attack) and kill people who (are innocent/have done nothing wrong). They constantly search for people who will not be able to (resist/defend themselves) [when they are attacked].
9 Mangdaeng te tuuk ham a huephael kah po khuiah sathueng bangla rhongngol. Mangdaeng te a tuuk vaengah amah kah lawk neh a sol.
They are like [MET] lions that crouch down and hide, waiting to pounce on their prey. They are like hunters that catch their prey with a net and then drag it away.
10 Te dongah paep la paep tih a ngawm phoeiah tah tatthai khaw a pilnu hmuiah ni mangdaeng mangtok la a cungku.
Just like helpless animals are crushed, people who cannot defend themselves are killed because wicked people are very strong.
11 A lungbuei ah, “Pathen loh a hnilh coeng, a maelhmai a thuh tih yoeyah la hmu mahpawh,” a ti.
Wicked people say, “God will not pay any attention [to what we do]. His eyes are covered, so he never sees anything.”
12 Aw BOEIPA Pathen thoo lah, na kut thueng lah. Mangdaeng kodo te nang loh hnilh boeh.
Yahweh God, arise [and help us] Punish [IDM] those wicked people! And do not forget those who are suffering!
13 Balae tih halang loh Pathen yah a bai te amah lungbuei ah, “Nan cae tang mahpawh,” a ti?
Wicked people revile you [RHQ] continually. They think, “God will never punish us!”
14 Tedae, na hmuh coeng dongah, thakthaenah neh konoinah, na kut dongah khueh ham na paelki. Namah tah cadah aka bom la na om dongah, na taengah mangdaeng mangtok khaw a hal.
But you see the trouble and the distress [that they cause]. People who are suffering expect that you will help them; and you help orphans, [also].
15 Boethae halang kah a ban te khaem pah. A halangnah te cae pah lamtah hlun boeh.
(Break the arms/Destroy the power) of wicked [DOU] people! Continue to pursue and punish them for the wicked things that they do, until they stop doing those things.
16 BOEIPA tah kumhal ah manghai yoeyah tih, a khohmuen kah namtom rhoek tah milh uh ni.
Yahweh, you are our king forever, but [wicked] nations will disappear from the earth.
17 Kodo rhoek kah ngaihlihnah te BOEIPA nang loh na hna neh na hnatung tih, na yaak dongah, a lungbuei na cikngae sak.
You have listened to afflicted/suffering people when they cry out to you. You hear them [when they pray], and you encourage [IDM] them.
18 Cadah neh hlanghnaep pahnap ham laitloek pah. Diklai lamkah hlanghing taengah, a sarhing ham te koep khoep boel saeh.
You show that orphans and oppressed people have not done things that are wrong, with the result that human beings will not cause people to be terrified any more.
