Of man [are] arrangements of the heart, And from Jehovah an answer of the tongue.
2 Hlang kah a longpuei boeih he amah mikhmuh ah khui dae, BOEIPA long tah a mueihla ni a khiinglang pah.
All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, And Jehovah is pondering the spirits.
3 Na bibi te BOEIPA taengah hal lamtah, na kopoek cikngae bitni.
Roll unto Jehovah thy works, And established are thy purposes,
4 Soeprhaep boeih he amah kah a hlatnah ham BOEIPA loh a saii. Te dongah halang pataeng yoethae hnin kah ham a hlun.
All things hath Jehovah wrought for Himself, And also the wicked [worketh] for a day of evil.

An abomination to Jehovah [is] every proud one of heart, Hand to hand he is not acquitted.
6 Sitlohnah neh oltak loh thaesainah a dawth tih, BOEIPA hinyahnah loh boethae lamkah a nong sak.
In kindness and truth pardoned is iniquity, And in the fear of Jehovah Turn thou aside from evil.
7 Hlang kah khosing te BOEIPA loh a moeithen vaengah a thunkha rhoek pataeng amah taengah a rhong sak.
When a man's ways please Jehovah, even his enemies, He causeth to be at peace with him.
8 Duengnah neh yol mai cakhaw, a tiktam mueh canghum cangpai lakah then.
Better [is] a little with righteousness, Than abundance of increase without justice.
9 Hlang kah lungbuei loh amah longpuei te a moeh tih, BOEIPA loh a khokan a cikngae sak.
The heart of man deviseth his way, And Jehovah establisheth his step.
10 Manghai ka dongkah bihma tah laitloeknah ham ni, te dongah a ka vikvawk boel saeh.
An oath [is] on the lips of a king, In judgment his mouth trespasseth not.
11 Tiktamnah cooi neh coilung tah BOEIPA taeng lamkah ni, sungsa coilung boeih khaw amah kah a bibi ni.
A just beam and balances [are] Jehovah's, His work [are] all the stones of the bag.
12 Duengnah loh ngolkhoel a cikngae sak dongah, manghai rhoek loh halangnah a saii ham tah tueilaehkoi la om.
An abomination to kings [is] doing wickedness, For by righteousness is a throne established.
13 Duengnah hmuilai tah manghai rhoek kah kolonah om tih, a thuem aka thui te a lungnah.
The delight of kings [are] righteous lips, And whoso is speaking uprightly he loveth,
14 Manghai kah kosi tah dueknah puencawn ni. Te dongah hlang cueih long ni kosi a daeh sak thai eh.
The fury of a king [is] messengers of death, And a wise man pacifieth it.
15 Manghai kah maelhmai khosae dongah hingnah tih, a kolonah tah tlankhol vaengkah khomai banghui ni.
In the light of a king's face [is] life, And his good-will [is] as a cloud of the latter rain.
16 Cueihnah lai he sui lakah bahoeng then tih, yakmingnah lai he khaw tangka n'tuek lakah then.
To get wisdom — how much better than gold, And to get understanding to be chosen than silver!
17 Boethae lamloh aka nong hamla a thuem longpuei om tih, a hinglu aka ngaithuen loh a longpuei a kueinah.
A highway of the upright [is], 'Turn from evil,' Whoso is preserving his soul is watching his way.
18 Pocinah kah a hmaiah hoemdamnah om tih, cungkunah kah a hmaiah ah mueihla oeknah a lamhma pah.
Before destruction [is] pride, And before stumbling — a haughty spirit.'
19 Thinthah neh kutbuem n'tael lakah kodo mangdaeng neh mueihla kunyun te then.
Better is humility of spirit with the poor, Than to apportion spoil with the proud.
20 Olka neh aka cangbam long tah hnothen a dang tih, BOEIPA dongah aka pangtung tah a yoethen pai.
The wise in any matter findeth good, And whoso is trusting in Jehovah, O his happiness.
21 Lungbuei aka cueih te aka yakming la a khue uh tih, hmuilai dongkah olding loh rhingtuknah a thap.
To the wise in heart is called, 'Intelligent,' And sweetness of lips increaseth learning.
22 Lungmingnah te a kungmah la aka khueh long tah hingnah thunsih la om tih, aka ang rhoek kah thuituennah tah anglat la poeh.
A fountain of life [is] understanding to its possessors, The instruction of fools is folly.
23 Aka cueih kah lungbuei tah a ka a cangbam tih, a hmuilai dongah rhingtuknah a thap.
The heart of the wise causeth his mouth to act wisely, And by his lips he increaseth learning,
24 Ol then tah, hinglu ham khoitui khoitak bangla didip tih, rhuh hamla hoeihnah la om.
Sayings of pleasantness [are] a honeycomb, Sweet to the soul, and healing to the bone.
25 Hlang mikhmuh ah longpuei te thuem dae a hmailong ah dueknah longpuei la om.
There is a way right before a man, And its latter end — ways of death.
26 Thakthaekung kah a hinglu loh amah hamla thakthae tih a ka te a kamcah sak.
A labouring man hath laboured for himself, For his mouth hath caused [him] to bend over it.
27 Hlang muen loh boethae a vueh tih, a hmuilai dongah hmai bangla rhangto.
A worthless man is preparing evil, And on his lips — as a burning fire.
28 Calaak hlang loh olpungkacan a haeh tih, hlang aka thet loh boeihlum a pamhma sak.
A froward man sendeth forth contention, A tale-bearer is separating a familiar friend.
29 Kuthlahnah hlang loh a hui a hloeh tih, longpuei a then pawt la a caeh puei.
A violent man enticeth his neighbour, And hath causeth him to go in a way not good.
30 Calaak te moeh hamla a mik aka him tih, a hmui saibaeh loh boethae a cung sak.
Consulting his eyes to devise froward things, Moving his lips he hath accomplished evil.
31 Sampok he boeimang rhuisam la om tih, duengnah longpuei kah aka om loh a dang.
A crown of beauty [are] grey hairs, In the way of righteousness it is found.
32 Thintoek aka ueh tah hlangrhalh lakah, a mueihla aka taem khaw khopuei aka ta lakah then.
Better [is] the slow to anger than the mighty, And the ruler over his spirit than he who is taking a city.
33 A rhang dongah hmulung khoh cakhaw a laitloeknah boeih tah BOEIPA lamkah ni a om.
Into the centre is the lot cast, And from Jehovah [is] all its judgment!
