Nehemiah 3

1 Te vaengah khosoih ham Eliashib te thoo tih a manuca khosoih rhoek neh boiva vongka te a sak uh. Te te a ciim phoeiah tah a thohkhaih a thoh uh. Te vaengah Meah rhaltoengim hil neh Hananel rhaltoengim duela a ciim uh.

Then rose up Elyashib the high priest with his brethren the priests, and they built the sheep-gate; they sanctified it, and set up its doors: even as far as the tower of Meah did they sanctify it, as far as the tower of Chananel.

2 A hmatoeng ah Jerikho hlang rhoek loh a sak uh. A hmatoeng patoeng ah Imri capa Zakkuur loh a sak.

And by his side built the men of Jericho. And by his [other] side built Zaccur the son of Imri.

3 Nga vongka te Senaah koca rhoek loh a sak uh. Amih loh a mak uh phoeiah tah a thohkhaih khaw, a thohhna neh thohkalh te a buen uh.

But the fish-gate did the sons of Hassenaah build: they also laid its beams, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars.

4 Amih hmatoeng ah Koz koca, Uriah capa Meremoth loh a tlaih. Amih hmatoeng patoeng ah Mezhezabel koca Berekiah capa Meshullam loh a tlaih. A hmatoeng ah Baanah capa Zadok loh a tlaih.

And alongside of them repaired Meremoth the son of Uriyah, the son of Kakkoz. And alongside of them repaired Meshullam the son of Berechyah, the son of Meshezabel. And alongside of them repaired Zadok the son of Ba'ana.

5 Amih hmatoeng bal ah Tekoa rhoek loh a tlaih uh. Tedae amih khuiah aka khuet rhoek loh a boei kah thohtatnah te a rhawn ah khuen uh pawh.

And alongside of them repaired the Teko'ites; but their principal men put not their necks to the work of their Lord.

6 Te vaengah Jeshanah te tah Paseah capa Joiada neh Besodeiah capa Meshullam loh a thaih. Amih loh te te a mak uh. Te phoeiah tah a thohkhaih neh a thohhna khaw a, thohkalh khaw a buen uh.

Moreover the old gate repaired Yoyada' the son of Passeach, and Meshullam the son of Bessodeyah: they laid its beams, and set up its doors, and its locks, and its bars.

7 Amih hmatoeng te Gibonee Melatiah neh Gibeon hlang Meronoti Jardon neh Mizpah loh tuiva rhalvangan kah rhalboei ngolkhoel hil a tlaih.

And alongside of them repaired Melatyah the Gib'onite, and Jadon the Meronothite, men of Gib'on and of Mizpah, unto the seat of the governor on this side of the river.

8 Anih hmatoeng ah sui aka picai Harhaiah capa Uzziel loh a tlaih. A hmatoeng ah botui saikung capa Hananiah loh a tlaih tih Jerusalem vongtung thah duela a buk uh.

Alongside of him repaired 'Uzziel the son of Charhayah, of the goldsmiths. And alongside of him repaired Chananyah the son of one of the apothecaries, and they fortified Jerusalem as far as the broad wall.

9 Amih hmatoeng ah Jerusalem conghol ngancawn kah mangpa Hur capa Rephaiah loh a tlaih.

And alongside of them repaired Rephayah the son of Chur, the chief of the half of the district of Jerusalem.

10 Amih hmatoeng ah Harumaph capa Jedaiah neh a im hmai loh a tlaih. A hmatoeng patoeng tah Hasabneiah capa Hattush loh a tlaih.

And alongside of them repaired Jedayah the son of Charumaph, and this opposite to his house. And alongside of him repaired Chattush the son of Chashabneyah.

11 Cungnueh pabae te Harim capa Malkhiah neh Pahathmoab capa Hasshub loh rhaltoengim tapkhuel hil a tlaih.

Another division did Malkiyah the son of Charim, and Chashub the son of Pachathmoab, repair, as also the tower of the ovens.

12 A hmatoeng ah Jerusalem conghol ngancawn kah mangpa Hallohesh capa Shallum amah neh a tanu rhoek loh a tlaih.

And alongside of him repaired Shallum the son of Hallochesh, the chief of the other half of the district of Jerusalem, he and his daughters.

13 Kolrhawk vongka te Hanun neh Zanoah khosa rhoek loh a tlaih. Amih loh te te a sak uh tih a thohkhaih, a thohhna neh a thohkalh te khaw a buen uh. Vongtung te natva vongka duela la dong thawngkhat lo.

The gate of the valley repaired Chanun, and the inhabitants of Zanoach: they built it, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars, and a thousand cubits of the wall as far as the dung-gate.

14 Natva vongka te Bethhakkerem conghol mangpa Rekhab capa Malkhiah loh a tlaih. Te te a sak phoeiah a thohkhaih, a thohhna neh a thohkalh te a buen.

And the dung-gate repaired Malkiyah the son of Rechah, the chief of the district of Beth-hakkerem: he built it, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars.

15 Tuiphuet vongka te Mizpah conghol mangpa Kolhozeh capa Shallun loh a tlaih. Amah loh a sak tih a cak la a dih. Te phoeiah a thohkhaih, a thohhna neh a thohkalh te a buen. Manghai dum kah Shiloh tuibuem vongtung te khaw David khopuei lamloh aka suntla tangtlaeng duela a pha.

And the gate of the fountain repaired Shallum the son of Col-chozeh, the chief of the district of Mizpah: he built it and covered it, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars, and the wall of the pool of Shelach by the king's garden, and as far as the stairs that lead down from the city of David.

16 Anih phoeikah te Bethzur conghol hlangvang mangpa Azbuk capa Nehemiah loh a tlaih tih David phuel rhaldan hil, kut saii tuibuem hil neh hlangrhalh im duela a pha.

Next to him repaired Nehemiah the son of 'Azbuk, the chief of the half district of Beth-zur, as far as the place opposite to the sepulchres of David, and as far as the pool that was [newly] made, and as far as the house of the mighty men.

17 Anih phoeikah te Bani capa Rehum neh Levi rhoek loh a tlaih uh. Anih hmatoeng ah Keilah conghol hlangvang mangpa Hashabiah loh amah kah conghol la a tlaih.

Next to him repaired the Levites: Rechum the son of Bani. Alongside of him repaired Chashabyah, the chief of the half district of Ke'ilah, for his district.

18 Anih phoeiah te Keilah conghol hlangvang mangpa Henadad capa Bavvai neh amih boeinaphung loh a tlaih uh.

Next to him repaired their brethren: Bavai the son of Chenadad, the chief of the [other] half district of Ke'ilah.

19 Anih hmatoeng ah Mizpah mangpa Jeshua capa Ezer loh a tlaih. A cungnueh pabae te lungpok haica imki kah aka cet imdan lamloh a tong.

And there repaired alongside of him 'Ezer the son of Joshua, the chief of Mizpah, another division, opposite to the ascent to the armory at the angle.

20 Anih hnuk te Zakkai Zabbai capa Barukh te sai tih a tlaih. A cungnueh pabae bal te imki lamloh khosoih len Eliashib im thohka hil a pha.

Next to him did Baruch the son of Zaccai' earnestly repair another division, from the angle as far as the door of the house of Elyashib the high priest.

21 Anih hnuk te Koz koca Uriah capa Meremoth loh a tlaih. A cungnueh khat bal te Eliashib im thohka lamloh Eliashib im a bawtnah hil a pha.

Next to him repaired Meremoth the son of Uriyah the son of Hakkoz another division, from the door of the house of Elyashib even as far as the end of the house of Elyashib.

22 Anih phoeikah te vannaem hlang rhoek kah khosoih rhoek loh a tlaih uh.

And next to him repaired the priests, the men of the plain [of Jordan].

23 Anih phoeikah Benjamin neh Hasshub loh amih im dan kah a tlaih. Anih phoeiah Ananiah koca Maaseiah capa Azariah loh amah im taeng te a tlaih.

Next to him repaired Benjamin and Chashub opposite to their house. Next to him repaired 'Azaryah the son of Ma'aseyah the son of 'Ananyah alongside of his house.

24 Anih phoeikah te Henadad capa Binnui loh a tlaih. Cungnueh pakhat ah Azariah im lamloh imki neh bangkil hil a pha.

Next to him repaired Binnui the son of Chenadad another division, from the house of 'Azaryah as far as the angle, and as far as the corner.

25 Uzzai capa Palal te manghai im hluen lamkah aka cawn imki neh rhaltoengim hmai ah. A hmatoeng thongim vongtung kaep te Parosh capa Pedaiah loh a hut nah.

Palal the son of Uzai [repaired] from opposite to the angle, and the tower which standeth out from the king's upper house, that was by the court of the prison. Next to him Pedayah the son of Par'osh.

26 Te vaengah tamtaeng la aka om rhoek loh Ophel kungkueng ah khocuk la tui vongka hmai neh rhaltoengim aka cawn phai ah kho a sak uh.

And the temple-servants dwelt on the hill fort, [and they built] as far as opposite to the water-gate toward the east, and the tower that standeth out.

27 Anih phoeikah te Tekoa rhoek loh a tlaih uh. A cungnueh pakhat te rhaltoengim len hmai lamloh cawn tih Ophel vongtung hil a pha.

Next to them repaired the Teko'ites another division from opposite the great tower that standeth out, and as far as the wall of the hill fort.

28 Marhang vongka kungkueng kah khosoih rhoek loh amah im hmai kah te rhip a tlaih uh.

From above the horse-gate repaired the priests, every one opposite to his house.

29 Anih phoeikah Immer capa Zadok long khaw amah im hmai te a tlaih. A hmatoeng te khocuk vongka aka tawt Shekaniah capa Shemaiah loh a tlaih.

Next to this repaired Zadok the son of Immer opposite to his house. And next to him repaired Shema'yah the son of Schechanyah, the keeper of the east gate.

30 Anih hmatoeng, hmatoeng te Shelemiah capa Hananiah, Zalaph capa Hanun parhuk loh cungnueh pakhat hil a tlaih. A hmatoeng kah Berekiah capa Meshullam loh a khai hmai te a tlaih.

Next to him repaired Chananyah the son of Shelemyah, and Chanun the sixth son of Zalaph another division. Next to him repaired Meshullam the son of Berechyah opposite to his chamber.

31 Anih hmatoeng, hmatoeng te suihloe capa Malkhiah loh tamtaeng rhoek neh Miphkad vongka hmai kah thimpom rhoek im hil neh bangkil imhman hil a tlaih.

Next to him repaired Malkiyah the goldsmith's son as far as the house of the temple-servants, and of the merchants, opposite to the mustering-gate, and to the upper chamber of the corner.

32 Bangkil imhman laklo boiva vongka hil te aka picai rhoek neh thenpom rhoek loh a tlaih uh.

And between the upper chamber of the corner and the sheep-gate repaired the goldsmiths and the merchants.
