1 Aka taek aka yak ham te na mikhmuh ah cet coeng. Kasam te kueinah lamtah longpuei te dawn laeh. Cinghen te moem lamtah thadueng te boeih huel laeh.
He that dasheth in pieces is come up before thy face: keep the munition, watch the way, make [thy] loins strong, fortify [thy] power mightily.
2 Amih aka culh rhoek tah culh uh tih a thingluei te mit cakhaw, BOEIPA loh Jakob kah mingthennah te Israel kah mingthennah bangla a mael sak ngawn ni.
For the LORD hath turned away the excellency of Jacob, as the excellency of Israel: for the emptiers have emptied them out, and marred their vine branches.
3 A hlangrhalh rhoek kah photling tah thimyum tih tatthai hlang rhoek khaw thiling hmai leng neh nukyum uh. A khohnin ah sikim coeng tih hmaical a hlaek uh.
The shield of his mighty men is made red, the valiant men [are] in scarlet: the chariots [shall be] with flaming torches in the day of his preparation, and the fir trees shall be terribly shaken.
4 Leng rhoek te vongvoel longah yan uh tih toltung ah cu uh. A mueimae mah hmaithoi bangla om tih rhaek bangla yong.
The chariots shall rage in the streets, they shall justle one against another in the broad ways: they shall seem like torches, they shall run like the lightnings.
5 A khuet rhoek a thoelh tih a lambong, a lambong ah hlinghlawk uh. A vongtung ah tokthuet uh tih vongthung te a cikngae sak.
He shall recount his worthies: they shall stumble in their walk; they shall make haste to the wall thereof, and the defence shall be prepared.
6 Tuiva vongka te ong uh tih lumim loh paci coeng.
The gates of the rivers shall be opened, and the palace shall be dissolved.
7 A suem bangla a poelyoe tih a khuen coeng. A salnu loh a thinko ah aka tum tum vahui ol bangla a hmaithawn coeng.
And Huzzab shall be led away captive, she shall be brought up, and her maids shall lead [her] as with the voice of doves, tabering upon their breasts.
8 Nineveh khaw amah hnin lamloh tuibuem tui bangla om. Tedae amih te coe tih, 'Pai dae, pai dae,’ a ti akhaw mael uh pawh.
But Nineveh [is] of old like a pool of water: yet they shall flee away. Stand, stand, [shall they cry; ] but none shall look back.
9 Cak te poelyoe uh, sui khaw poelyoe uh laeh. Sahnaih hnopai cungkuem he thangpomnah hmuenmol kah a bawtnah moenih.
Take ye the spoil of silver, take the spoil of gold: for [there is] none end of the store [and] glory out of all the pleasant furniture.
10 Hoengpawk neh daprhok la pong saeh. Lungbuei te yut saeh. Khuklu te khuep uh saeh lamtah a cinghen tom ah thueknah saeh. Maelhmai boeih te muhut la phuem saeh.
She is empty, and void, and waste: and the heart melteth, and the knees smite together, and much pain [is] in all loins, and the faces of them all gather blackness.
11 Sathueng khuirhung neh sathuengca kah a luemnah te melae? Sathueng neh sathuengnu te mela hnap a pongpa? Sathueng ca khaw lakueng a om moenih.
Where [is] the dwelling of the lions, and the feedingplace of the young lions, where the lion, [even] the old lion, walked, [and] the lion’s whelp, and none made [them] afraid?
12 Sathueng loh a casen rhoek te a rhoeh la a baeh tih amah sathuengnu hamla a kuiok sak. Te dongah a put te maeh neh, a khuisaek te saha neh a hu.
The lion did tear in pieces enough for his whelps, and strangled for his lionesses, and filled his holes with prey, and his dens with ravin.
13 Nang taengah ka pai coeng he. He tah caempuei BOEIPA kah olphong ni. Anih kah leng te hmaikhu la ka toih ni. Te dongah na sathueng te cunghang loh a yoop ni. Te phoeiah na maeh te diklai lamloh ka hnawt vetih na puencawn ol ya voel mahpawh.
Behold, I [am] against thee, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will burn her chariots in the smoke, and the sword shall devour thy young lions: and I will cut off thy prey from the earth, and the voice of thy messengers shall no more be heard.
