1 A hnukbang hlainit te a khue tih amih te, rhalawt mueihla, haek sak ham, tlohtat boeih neh tlohnat boeih te hoeih sak ham saithainah a paek.
And having called in his twelve disciples, he gave them authority over unclean spirits, so as to cast them out, and to heal every sickness and every disease.
2 Te vaengah caeltueih hlainit kah a ming tah he rhoek he ni. Lamhma ah, Peter la a khue Simon neh a mana Andrew, Zebedee capa James neh a mana Johan,
Now the names of the twelve apostles are these: First, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother,
3 Philip neh Bartholomew, Thomas neh mangmucoi Matthai, Alphaeus capa James neh Taddaeus,
Philip, and Bartholomew, Thomas, and Matthew the tax collector, James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus who was surnamed Thaddaeus,
4 Kanaan Simon neh amah aka voei Judah Iskariot.
Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.
5 Jesuh loh hlainit rhoek te a tueih ham a uen vaengah, “Namtom rhoek kah longpuei ah pongpa uh boeh, Samaria khopuei khuila kun uh boeh.
These twelve Jesus sent forth, having ordered them, saying, Go not into a way of the Gentiles, and enter not into a city of the Samaritans,
6 Tedae Israel imkhui kah tu aka poci rhoek taengah mah cet uh.
but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
7 Aka cet rhoek loh, 'Vaan ram yoei coeng, 'tila thui lamtah hoe uh.
And while going, preach, saying, The kingdom of the heavens has come near.
8 Tattloel rhoek te hoeih sak uh, aka duek thoh uh, hmaibae cing sak uh, rhaithae te haek uh, a yoe la na dang uh te a yoe la pae uh.
Heal those who are feeble, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely ye received, freely give.
Acquire no gold, nor silver, nor copper in your belts,
10 Longpueng hamla sungsa, angki yungnit, khokhom conghol khuen uh boeh. Bibikung tah amah caak te a om pah tueng.
no bag for the road, nor two coats, nor shoes, nor staffs, for the workman is worthy of his provision.
11 Mebang khopuei neh vangca khuiah na kun uh vaengah, “Te khuikah a tueng la aka om te toem uh lamtah na voei hlan duela naeh uh dae.
And into whatever city or village ye may enter, inquire who in it is worthy, and there abide until ye go forth.
12 Im khuila na kun vaengah toidal uh.
And while entering into the house, salute it.
13 Aka koih imkhui ni a om van atah nangmih kah ngaimongnah loh thoeng thil saeh. Tedae a tueng la a om pawt atah nangmih kah ngaimongnah te nangmih taengah ha bal saeh.
And if indeed the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it, but if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you.
And whoever will not receive you, nor hear your words, while departing that house or that city, shake off the dust of your feet.
15 Nangmih taengah rhep kan thui, “Laitloeknah khohnin ah Sodom neh Gomorrah kho pataeng tekah khopuei lakah phoeng pueng ni.
Truly I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment, than for that city.
Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves. Become ye therefore wise as serpents, and innocent as doves.
17 Hlang rhoek te ngaithuen uh, nangmih te khoboei rhoek taengla n'thak uh ni. Te vaengah nangmih te tunim ah m'bohuh ni.
But beware of men, for they will deliver you up to councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues,
and ye will be brought to governors and even kings because of me, for a witness to them and to the Gentiles.
19 Tedae nangmih te n'thak uh vaengah balae, metlam lae na thui eh ti mawn uh boeh. Amah a tue vaengah na thui uh koi nangmih taengah m'paek bitni.
But when they deliver you up, be not anxious how or what ye should speak, for it will be given you in that hour what ye will speak.
Tedae Na Pa kah Mueihla loh nangmih khuiah a thui bitni.
For ye are not who speak, but the Spirit of your Father speaking in you.
21 Manuca loh manuca, a napa loh a ca te dueknah dongah a voeih ni. Ca rhoek long khaw a manu napa te a tingtoeh vetih a duek sak ni.
And a brother will deliver up a brother to death, and a father a child. And children will rise up against parents, and condemn them to death.
Tedae a bawtnah duela aka ueh tah daem ni.
And ye will be hated by all men because of my name, but he who endures to the end, this man will be saved.
23 He kah kho ah ni nangmih te n'hnaemtaek uh atah a tloe la rhaelrham uh. Nangmih taengah rhep ka thui, hlang capa ha pawk hlan atah Israel khopuei rhoek te na tluek uh mueh mahpawh.
But when they persecute you in this city, flee into the other, for truly I say to you, ye will, no, not have completed the cities of Israel, until the Son of man comes.
24 Hnukbang he saya soah a om moenih, sal khaw a boei soah a om moenih.
A pupil is not above his teacher, nor a bondman above his lord.
25 Hnukbang te a saya bangla, sal loh a boei bangla a om mah rhoeh coeng. Imkung te Beelzeboul a phoei thil uh atah a imko ngawn tah bahoeng nah.
It is enough for the pupil that he becomes like his teacher, and the bondman like his lord. If they have called the house-ruler Beelzebub, how much more those of his household.
26 Te dongah amih te rhih uh boeh. Muekdah la aka om te pumphoe mueh pawt tih a huephael te a ming mueh moenih.
Fear them not therefore, for there is nothing covered, that will not be revealed, and hid, that will not be known.
27 A hmuep ah kan thui te vangnah khuiah thui. Na hna ah na yaak te imphu soah hoe uh.
What I tell you in the darkness, speak ye in the light, and what ye hear in the ear, proclaim upon the housetops.
28 Pum aka ngawn rhoek te rhih uh boeh. Tedae hinglu a ngawn thai moenih. Pum neh hinglu boktlap la hell ah aka poci sak thai te mah rhih uh. (Geenna )
And be not afraid of those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. But rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. (Geenna )
Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall on the ground independent of your Father.
30 Nangmih lu kah sam pataeng boeih a tae la om coeng.
But even the hairs of your head are all numbered.
31 Te dongah rhih uh boeh. Nangmih tah vahnup lakah muep na tiing uh ta.
Fear not therefore, ye are of worth more than many sparrows.
32 Te dongah hlangping hmaiah kai aka ming hlang boeih tah vaan kah a Pa hmaiah anih te ka ming van ni.
Therefore every man, whoever will profess in me before men, I also will profess in him before my Father in the heavens.
But whoever would deny me before men, I also will deny him before my Father in the heavens.
Think not that I came to spread peace on the earth. I came not to spread peace, but a sword.
35 Kai tah hlang pakhat neh a napa, a canu neh a manu, a langa neh a mani phihrha ham ni ka pawk.
For I came to divide a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.
36 Hlang kah rhal tah a imkhui ah om ni.
And a man's foes, are those of his own household.
37 Kai lakah a manu neh a napa aka lungnah te tah kai neh aka tiing la om pawh. Kai lakah a capa neh a canu aka lungnah te khaw kai neh aka tiing la a om moenih.
He who loves father or mother above me is not worthy of me, and he who loves son or daughter above me is not worthy of me.
38 A thinglam a koh kolla ka hnukah aka bang te tah kai neh aka tiing la a om moenih.
And he who does not take his cross and follow behind me, is not worthy of me.
39 Amah kah hinglu aka hmutah poci vetih, kai kongah a hinglu aka poci loh te te a hmuh ni.
He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life because of me will find it.
40 Nangmih aka doe tah kai ni n'doe. Kai aka doe long khaw kai aka tueih te a doe.
He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives him who sent me.
41 Tonghma ming neh tonghma aka doe tah tonghma kah thapang te a dang ni. Hlang dueng ming neh hlang dueng aka doe tah hlang dueng kah thapang te a dang van ni.
He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet will receive a prophet's reward, and he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man will receive a righteous man's reward.
42 Hnukbang ming neh tuiding boengloeng khat ca he kah a yit khuiah pakhat aka tul te tah, nangmih taengah rhep kan thui coeng, a thapang te yoe loengloeng mahpawh,” a ti nah.
And whoever may give to drink one of these little ones merely a cold cup in the name of a disciple, truly I say to you he will, no, not lose his reward.
