Marku 5
1 Te phoeiah tuili rhalvangan Gerasenes kho la pawk uh.
And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.
2 Lawng lamkah loh a suntlak vaengah hlan lamkah rhalawt mueihla neh hlang pakhat loh Jesuh te tlek a doe.
And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, (pneuma)
3 Anih tah a khosaknah te phuel ah a khueh tih thirhui neh pin ham khaw anih aka noeng te a om loengloeng voel moenih.
Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:
4 Anih te hloong, thirhui neh a pin uh taitu dae thirhui te a thuek tih hloong te a tlawt sak dongah anih te sim uh thai pawh.
Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.
5 Khoyin khothaih phuel ah khaw, tlang ah khaw vawpvawp pang yoeyah tih amah te lungto neh huet uh.
And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.
6 Jesuh te a hla lamloh a hmuh vaengah yong tih a bawk.
But when he saw Jesus far off, he ran and worshipped him,
7 Te phoeiah ol ue la pang tih, “Khohni Pathen Capa Jesuh, nang neh kai balae benbo benpang? Pathen rhangneh nang taengah ol ka hlo, kai he n'phaep mai boeh,” a ti nah.
And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with you, Jesus, you Son of the most high God? I adjure you by God, that you torment me not.
8 Te dongah anih te, “Mueihla thae aw, hlang taeng lamkah loh coe laeh,” a ti nah.
For he said unto him, Come out of the man, you unclean spirit. (pneuma)
9 Te phoeiah anih te, “Ulae na ming nah,” a ti nah hata, “Muep ka om uh dongah, kai ming tah caempuei caempa ni,” a ti nah.
And he asked him, What is your name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.
10 Te vaengah amih te ram lamkah loh voelh tueih pawt ham Jesuh taengah khak a bih.
And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.
11 Tedae a yoei la tlang tapkhoeh om tih ok hui muep luem.
Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding.
12 Te dongah Jesuh te a hloep uh tih, “Kaimih he ok rhoek khuila n'tueih mai lamtah te rhoek khuiah ka kun uh mai eh,” a ti nah.
And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.
13 Te dongah amih te a caeh sak. Tedae mueihla thae rhoek tah cet uh tih, ok khuiah kun uh. Te dongah ok hui tah laengpoeng ah tuili khuila cu uh tih thawnghnih tluk tah tuili ah buek uh.
And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits (pneuma) went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand; ) and were choked in the sea.
14 Ok aka luempuei rhoek khaw rhaelrham tih khopuei khui neh lohma ah khaw puen uh. Te dongah aka thoeng hno te metla a om khaw hmuh hamla cet uh.
And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done.
15 Jesuh taengla a pawk uh vaengah rhaithae aka kaem a ngol te a hmuh uh. Anih te yol uh tih muet uh. Anih te caempuei caempa a khueh dongah a rhih uh.
And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.
16 Te vaengah rhaithae aka kaem taengah aka thoeng hno neh ok kawng te aka hmu rhoek loh amih taengah a thui pauh.
And they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine.
17 Te dongah amih vaang lamloh nong hamla Jesuh te a hloep uh.
And they began to pray him to depart out of their coasts.
18 Lawng khuiah a kun vaengah rhaithae aka kaem loh a taengah om ham a bih.
And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him.
19 Te vaengah anih te a hlah pak moenih. Tedae amah te, “Namah im la cet lamtah nahuiko rhoek taengah Boeipa loh nang ham a saii tih nang ng'rhen boeih te amih taengah puen pah,” a ti nah.
Nevertheless Jesus suffered him not, but says unto him, Go home to your friends, and tell them how great things the Lord has done for you, and has had compassion on you.
20 Te dongah cet tih, Jesuh loh anih ham a saii boeih te Decapolis ah a tong tih a hoe hatah hlang boeih loh a ngaihmang uh.
And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel.
21 Jesuh te lawng neh rhalvangan la koep a hlaikan hatah a taengah hlangping hut a tingtun pa tih tuili kaengah vik om.
And when Jesus was passed over again by ship unto the other side, much people gathered unto him: and he was nigh unto the sea.
22 Te vaengah tamtaeng pakhat, a ming ah Jairus te ha pawk tih Jesuh te a hmuh neh a kho taengah bakop.
And, behold, there comes one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet,
23 Jesuh te tlal a hloep tih, “Ka canu tah duekhlong coeng. Na lo vetih anih te kut na tloeng thil daengah ni daem vetih a hing eh?,” a ti nah.
And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lies at the point of death: I pray you, come and lay your hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.
24 Te dongah anih taengla a caeh vaengah hlangping loh muep a vai tih Jesuh khaw a nen uh.
And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him.
25 Te vaengah kum hlainit khuiah thii aka buk huta pakhat om.
And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,
26 Siboei tom taengah khaw muep patang coeng tih a taengkah khaw boeih vak coeng. Tedae hoeikhang pawt tih a thae la lat a om pah.
And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing improved, but rather grew worse,
27 Jesuh kah a thang te a yaak vaengah hlangping lakli la cet tih a hnuk lamloh Jesuh kah himbai te a taek.
When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.
28 Amah long tah, “A himbai mah ka taek koinih ka hoeih ni,” a ti.
For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.
29 Te vaengah a thii tuisih bang te khaw pahoi a khaam pah tih a pum khaw nganboh lamloh hoeih coeng tila a ming.
And immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.
30 Amah pum lamkah thaomnah a coe te Jesuh amah loh tlek a ming vaengah hlangping taengla mael tih, “Ulae kai himbai aka taek?,” a ti nah.
And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?
31 Te vaengah a hnukbang rhoek loh a taengah, “Hlangping loh nang n'nen te na hmuh lalah, 'Ulae kai aka taek,’ na ti,” a ti nauh.
And his disciples said unto him, You see the multitude thronging you, and say you, Who touched me?
32 Tedae te aka saii te hmuh ham a sawt.
And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.
33 Huta long khaw a taengah aka thoeng te a ming dongah a rhih neh birhih coeng. Te dongah a paan tih bakop doela Jesuh taengah oltak te boeih a thui pah.
But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
34 Te dongah anih te, “Ka canu, na tangnah loh nang ng' khang coeng, ngaimong la cet lamtah na tlohtat lamkah loh sading la om laeh,” a ti nah.
And he said unto her, Daughter, your faith has made you whole; go in peace, and be whole of your plague.
35 A thui li vaengah, tamtaeng im lamkah aka pawk rhoek loh, “Na canu te duek coeng, baham nim saya te khing na toeh na oeih,” a ti nauh.
While he yet spoke, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's house certain which said, Your daughter is dead: why trouble you the Master any further?
36 Tedae a thui ol soah Jesuh tah altha tih tamtaeng te, “Rhih boeh, dawk tangnah,” a ti nah.
As soon as Jesus heard the word (logos) that was spoken, he says unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.
37 Te vaengah Peter neh James, James mana Johan pawt atah ukhaw a hnuk bang sak pawh.
And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.
38 Te phoeiah tamtaeng im la pawk uh. Te vaengah olpungnah khaw, a rhah neh vangvang a kii uh khaw a hmuh.
And he comes to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and sees the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly.
39 Te dongah kun tih amih te, “Balae tih sarhingrhup la na rhah uh? Camoe he a duek moenih, aka ip ni he,” a ti nah.
And when he was come in, he says unto them, Why make all of you this disturbance, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleeps.
40 Te vaengah Jesuh te a nueih thiluh. Tedae Jesuh loh amih te boeih a haek. Te phoeiah camoe kah a manu napa neh a taengkah rhoek te a khuen tih camoe a om nah la kun.
And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he takes the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and enters in where the damsel was lying.
41 Camoe kah kut te a tuuk tih, “Talitha kumi (Te tah hula ni a thuingaih), nang 'Thoo'ka ti,” a ti nah.
And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto you, arise.
42 Te vaengah hula te koe thoo tih cet. Anih te kum hlainit lo coeng. Te dongah mueimang bangla sut limlum uh pahoi.
And immediately the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.
43 Tedae te te hlang ming sak pawt hamla amih te rhep ol a paek phoeiah, “A caak koi pae lah,” a ti nah.
And he charged them strictly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat.
