< Marku 14 >
1 Tahae lamkah hnin nit phoeiah Yoom neh vaidamding om pawn ni. Te vaengah khosoihham rhoek neh cadaek rhoek loh Jesuh te mebang tuengkhuepnah nen khaw tuuk tih ngawn ham a mae uh.
Now the feast of the passover and unleavened bread was within two days: and the chief priests and the scribes were contriving how they might seize Him by treachery and put Him to death.
2 “Tedae khotue vaengah boel saeh, pilnam kah olpung kacan la om ve,” a ti uh.
But they said, Not on the feast-day, least there be a tumult of the people.
3 Te phoeiah Jesuh te Bethany ah aka om hmaibae Simon im ah yalh. Anih te huta pakhat loh a paan tih botui lungbok a khuen pah. Te bang nardo cilh tah te a phutlo. Lungbok te a boh tih a lu te a suep pah.
And when He was at Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as He was at table, there came a woman with an alabaster-box of ointment of spikenard, very valuable; and she brake the box and poured it on his head.
4 Tedae amih khuiah te aka yakdam hlangvang om. Te dongah, “Baham nim botui he pocinah a khueh he?
And there were some provoked at it and said, Why was this waste made of the ointment?
5 He botui he denari yathum hlai la a yoih vetih khodaeng te a paek mako tila anih te a thanueih thiluh.
For it might have been sold for above three hundred pence, and given to the poor. And they inveighed against her.
6 Tedae Jesuh loh, “Anih te hlah uh, balae tih anih te thakthaenah neh na toehuh. Kai dongah bibi then a saii.
But Jesus said, Let her alone, why do ye give her uneasiness?
7 khodaeng rhoek te nangmih taengah om uh taitu tih na ngaih uh vaengah amih ham a then na saii uh thai. Tedae kai ka om taitu moenih.
She has done a kind office to me. For ye have the poor always with you, and may do them good, whenever ye will; but me ye have not always.
8 A khueh duen te a saii coeng. Rhokhlaknah dongah ka pumsa he hluk hamla a sawn.
She has done what she could: she has embalmed my body beforehand against the burial.
9 Te dongah nangmih taengah rhep kan thui, Diklai pum kah olthangthen a hoe nah takuem ah anih loh a saii te khaw a kutmuei la a thui ni,” a ti nah.
Verily I tell you, wheresoever this gospel is preached, through all the world, what she hath done shall also be told for a memorial of her.
10 Te phoeiah hlainit khuikah pakhat Judah Iskariot loh Jesuh te amih khosoihham rhoek taengah yoih hamla cet.
And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went to the chief priests, in order to betray Him unto them.
11 Te rhoek loh a yaak uh vaengah a uem uh tih anih te tangka paek ham a caeng uh. Te dongah anih voeih ham te a hoenghoep a dawn.
And they were glad, when they heard it, and engaged to give him money. And he sought to betray Him at a proper season.
12 Vaidamding kah lamhmacuek hnin kah yoom a ngawn uh vaengah a hnukbang rhoek loh amah taengah, “Melam na ngaih dae, ka cet uh saeh lamtah, yoom caak ham ka tarhoek uh eh,” a ti nah.
And on the first day of the feast of unleavened bread, when they sacrificed the paschal lamb, his disciples said to Him, Where wouldst thou have us go and make preparation for thee to eat of the paschal lamb?
13 Te dongah a hnukbang panit te a tueih. Te vaengah amih rhoi te, “Khopuei khuila cet rhoi lamtah tuitang dongah tui aka phuei hlang loh nangmih rhoi n'doe ni.
And He sendeth two of his disciples, and saith unto them, Go into the city, and there will meet you a man carrying a pitcher of water:
14 Anih te vai rhoi lamtah a kun nah imkung te, 'Saya loh, 'Kai impahnah te melam a om, te rhoek ah ka hnukbang rhoek neh yoom ka ca uh mai eh,’ a ti, ti nah rhoi.
follow him, and where he goes in, say to the man of the house, The master inquireth, Where is the room, in which I may eat the passover with my disciples?
15 Te vaengah anih loh, “Imhman len a sikim la a rhoekbah te nangmih rhoi n'tueng bitni. Te vaengah mamih ham pahoi rhuengphong rhoi,” a ti nah.
And he will shew you a large upper room ready prepared, there make preparation for us.
16 Hnukbang rhoi te cet rhoi tih kho khuila a kun rhoi vaengah amih rhoi a uen bangla a hmuh rhoi tih yoom te a rhuengphong rhoi.
And his disciples went out, and came into the city, and found every thing as He told them; and so prepared the passover.
17 Hlaem a pha vaengah hnukbang hlainit neh ha pawk.
And in the evening He cometh with the rest of the twelve.
18 Te phoeiah a vael uh tih a caak uh vaengah Jesuh loh, “Nangmih taengah rhep ka thui. Nangmih khuikah pakhat, kai taengah aka ca loh kai m'voeih ni te,” a ti nah.
And when they were sat down and eating together, Jesus said, Verily I tell you, that one of you will betray me, who is now eating with me.
19 Vik a kothae uh tih, pakhat phoeiah pakhat loh Jesuh te, “Kai mai khaming,” a ti nauh.
And they were grieved, and said to Him one by one, Is it I?
20 Te dongah Jesuh loh amih te, “Hlainit khuikah pakhat, kai taengah baeldung khuila aka puei te.
Is it I? And He said unto them, It is one of the twelve, that is now dipping with me in the dish.
21 Hlang capa tah a kawng a daek tangtae bangla a caeh te thuem. Tedae anih hlang pakhat loh hlang capa a voeih te anunae. Tekah hlang te thaang pawt koinih anih ham then ni,” a ti nah.
The Son of man is going indeed as it is written concerning Him; but wo to that man by whom He is betrayed; it had been good for him, if that man had never been born.
22 A caak uh vaengah, vaidam te a loh tih yoethen a paek. A aeh phoeiah amih te a doe tih, “He he kamah pum ni lo uh,” a ti nah.
And as they were at table, Jesus took bread, and when He had blessed it He brake it, and gave it to them, and said, Take, eat, This is my body:
23 Boengloeng te khaw a loh tih a uem phoeiah amih te a paek tih rhip a ok uh.
and He took the cup, and when He had given thanks, He gave it to them: and they all drank of it.
24 Te phoeiah amih taengah, “He tah ka thii neh cungkuem ham ka long sak paipi ni.
And He said unto them, This is an emblem of my blood the seal of the new covenant, which is to be shed for many:
25 Nangmih taengah rhep ka thui, Pathen kah ram ah a thai la ka ok nah khohnin duela misur thaih ka o voel loengloeng mahpawh,” a ti nah.
and I assure you, that I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine, till the day when I shall drink it new in the kingdom of God.
26 Te phoeiah a hlai doeah olives tlang la cet uh.
And when they had sung an hymn, they went out to the mount of Olives.
27 Te phoeiah Jesuh loh amih te, “Boeih n'khah uh ni. 'Tudawn te ka tam vetih tu rhoek te pam ni, ' tila a daek coeng.
And Jesus saith unto them, Ye will all of you be made to offend on my account this night; for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered:
28 Tedae kai ka thoh phoeiah Galilee la nangmih hmaiah ka lamhma ni,” a ti nah.
but after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee.
29 Te dongah Peter loh Jesuh taengah, “Boeih a khah uh mai akhaw, kai van moenih,” a ti nah.
But Peter said to Him, though all should be made to offend, yet will not I.
30 Te vaengah Jesuh loh anih te, “Namah taengah rhep kan thui, tihnin hlaem ah he ai hnavoei a khong hlanah nang loh kai he voeithum nan huek uh tak ni,” a ti nah.
And Jesus saith unto him, Verily I tell thee, that to day, even in this very night, before the cock crow twice thou wilt deny me thrice.
31 Tedae, “Nang hamla kai ka duek te a kuek cakhaw nang kan huek uh tak loengloeng mahpawh,” khak a ti nah. Te vanbangla a tloe boeih long khaw a ti uh.
But he said with the more vehemence, Though I should die with thee, I will never disown thee. And so likewise said they all.
32 Te phoeiah Gethsemene aka ming nah hmuen la cet uh tih a hnukbang rhoek te, “Ka thangthui rhuetah tah heah he ana ngol uh,” a ti nah.
And they came to a place called Gethsemane, and He saith to his disciples, Sit here whilst I go and pray.
33 Te phoeiah Peter, James neh Johan te amah taengla a khuen. Te vaengah ngaihmang neh khobing te a tong coeng.
And He taketh Peter and James and John with Him, and He began to be overwhelmed with terror and anguish.
34 Te dongah amih te, “Ka hinglu loh kothae a ming tih vat duek. Heah he naeh uh lamtah ana hak uh,” a ti nah.
And He saith unto them, My Soul is exceeding sorrowful even unto death, stay here and watch.
35 Tedae hawt lamhma tih lai ah bakop. Te vaengah coeng thai la a om atah a tue loh anih a khum tak ham ni a thangthui coeng.
And going a little farther, He prostrated Himself, and prayed, if it were possible, that this hour might pass from Him.
36 Te vaengah, “Abba, a pa, nang ham tah boeih yoeikoek mai, hekah boengloeng he kai lamkah loh khoe mai. Tedae kai ngaih boel saeh lamtah namah ngaih mai saeh,” a ti.
And He said, Abba, Father, all things are possible to Thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless, not what I will, but what thou wilt.
37 Ha pawk vaengah amih a ih te a hmuh tih, Peter taengah, “Simon, na ip nama? Khonoek pakhat pataeng na hak thai mahnim?
And He cometh and findeth them asleep, and saith to Peter, Simon, art thou sleeping? couldst thou not watch one hour?
38 Hak uh lamtah thangthuiuh. Te daengah ni cuekhalhnah khuiah na pha pawt eh. Mueihla loh a yakvawt ngawn dae pumsa loh tattloel,” a ti nah.
Watch, and pray, that ye enter not into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the body is weak.
39 Te phoeiah koep cet tih amah a thui tangtae ol neh thangthui.
And He went away again, and prayed, after the same manner.
40 Koep ha pawk vaengah tah amih a ih a hmuh. Aka om rhoek te a mik loh a nan uh. Te dongah Jesuh a doo uh ham te ming uh pawh.
And when He returned, He found them again sleeping, for their eyes were heavy; and they knew not what to say to Him.
41 A pathum kah ha pawk vaengah amih te, “Yulh na ip uh tih caih laeh Tamah saeh. A tue ha pawk coeng. Hlang Capa tah hlangtholh rhoek kut ah a voeih coeng he.
And he cometh the third time, and saith unto them, Are ye sleeping still and taking your rest? It is enough, the hour is come: behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
42 Thoo uh, cet uh pawn sih, kai aka voei tah, ha yoei coeng ke,” a ti nah.
Rise, let us go; see the traitor is at hand.
43 A thui li vaengah, hlainit khuikah pakhat Judah te pakcak ha pawk. Te vaengah anih te khosoihham neh, cadaek rhoek neh, patong rhoek kah a tueih hlangping loh cunghang neh thingboeng neh a pueiuh.
And immediately while He was yet speaking cometh Judas, one of the twelve, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests, and scribes, and elders:
44 Te vaengah anih aka voei loh amih mikhip a paek tih, “Ka mok te tah anih ni. Anih te tuu uh lamtah rhep khuen uh,” a ti nah.
(Now the traitor had given them a sign, saying, The man, whom I shall kiss, is He; lay hold of Him and lead Him away safely: )
45 Te dongah ha pawk neh Jesuh te koe a paan tih, “Rhabbi,” a ti nah phoeiah a mok.
and as soon as he came, he went directly up to Him and said, Master, Master; and kissed Him.
46 Te rhoek loh kut a hlah thil uh tih Jesuh te a tuuk uh.
And they laid their hands on Him, and apprehended Him.
47 Tedae aka pai khuikah pakhat loh cunghang te a yueh tih khosoihham kah sal te a boeng hatah a hna a pat pah.
And one of those that were present, drawing a sword, struck at the high priest's servant, and took off his ear.
48 Te dongah Jesuh loh amih te a doo tih, “Dingca bangla, cunghang neh thingboeng neh kai tuuk ham nan suntlak thil uh.
And Jesus said unto them, Are ye come out as against a thief with swords and clubs to take me?
49 Khohnin takuem nangmih taengah ka om tih bawkim ah ka thuituen vaengah kai na tuu uh pawh. Tedae he nen ni cacim tah a soep eh?,” a ti nah.
I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and ye did not seize me: but this is done that the scriptures may be fulfilled.
50 Te vaengah Jesuh te a hlah uh tih boeih rhaelrham uh.
And the disciples all forsook Him and fled: but there followed Him a certain youth,
51 Tedae amah taengah aka bang cadong pakhat loh Jesuh pumtling te himbai neh a khuk hatah anih te khaw a tuuk uh.
who had only a linen cloth wrapt about him, and the young men laid hold on him;
52 Te long khaw himbai te a hnoo tih pumtling la rhaelrham van.
and he let go the linen cloth, and fled from them naked.
53 Jesuh te khosoihham taengla a khuen uh hatah khosoihham rhoek, patong rhoek neh cadaek rhoek loh boeih a khoong thiluh.
And they led Jesus away to the high priest, with whom were assembled all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes.
54 Peter long tah a hla lamloh khosoihham kah vongup khui duela a vai. Te phoeiah tueihyoeih rhoek taengah ngol tih hmaivang te rhet a om.
And Peter followed Him at a distance, even into the palace of the high priest: and sat down among the servants, and warmed himself at the fire.
55 Te vaengah khosoihham rhoek neh khoboei pum loh Jesuh te duek sak ham laipai a toem uh dae hmu uh pawh.
Now the chief priests and all the council sought for evidence against Jesus, to put Him to death, and found none:
56 Jesuh te muep a pael uh dae laipai rhoek te cikngae la om uh pawh.
for many bare false witness against Him, and the evidences did not agree.
57 Angen loh pai tih anih a pael nah la,
At last there rose up some and bare false witness against Him,
58 ” Hekah kutsai bawkim he kai loh ka phae vetih hnin thum phoeiah a tloe kutsai mueh te ka sak ni, 'a ti te ka yaak uh coeng,” a ti uh.
saying, We heard Him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and in three days I will build another made without hands:
59 Amih kah olthui te khaw cikngae la om bal pawh.
but neither was their evidence consistent.
60 Te dongah khosoihham tah a laklung ah pai tih Jesuh te a dawt tih, “Khat khaw na doo mahpawt a? Amih loh nang m'pael uh te,” a ti nah.
Then the high priest stood up in the midst and asked Jesus saying, Answerest thou nothing? what do these men witness against thee?
61 Tedae hil a phah tih pakhat khaw doo pawh. Khosoihham loh Jesuh te koep a dawt tih, “Nang he, uemom Capa Khrih a?” a ti nah.
but he held his peace, and made him no answer. So the high priest asked Him again, and saith to Him, Art thou the Messiah the Son of the blessed God?
62 Te dongah Jesuh loh, “Kai ni, hlang capa te thaomnah bantang ah ngol vetih vaan khomai neh ha pawk te na hmuh uh bitni,” a ti nah.
And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
63 Te vaengah khosoihham loh a angki te a phen tih, “Laipai n'ngoe uh pueng a te?
Then the high priest rent his clothes and said, What farther need have we of witnesses?
64 soehsalnah te na yaak uh coeng. Metlam na poek uh,” a ti nah. Amih loh anih te dueknah yook sak kuekluek hamla boeih a boe sakuh.
ye have heard the blasphemy; what think ye? and they all condemned Him as worthy of death.
And they spit upon Him, and blind-folded Him, and then buffeted Him and said to Him, prophesy who it was: and the officers struck him with their rods.
66 Peter te vongtung hmui ah a om vaengah khosoihham kah salnu pakhat te ha pawk.
And Peter being in the hall below, there came one of the maid-servants of the high priest;
67 Hmai aka om Peter te a hmuh vaengah amah te a sawt tih, “Nang khaw Nazareth Jesuh taengah na om van,” a ti nah.
and when she saw Peter as he was warming himself, she looked earnestly upon him and said, Thou also wast with Jesus the Nazarene:
68 Tedae a aal tih, “Ka ming moenih, na thui te ka hmat moenih,” a ti nah. Tedae thohkaeng la voelh a caeh vaengah ai khong.
but he denied it, saying, I do not know Him, nor do I understand what thou meanest. And he went out into the porch, and the cock crew.
69 Te phoeiah Peter te salnu loh koep a hmuh tih aka pai rhoek taengah, “Anih he amih kah hlang ni,” a ti nah.
And the maid seeing him again said to them that stood by, This is one of them: and he denied it again.
70 Tedae koep a aal bal. Rhaih a om phoeiah aka pai rhoek loh Peter te, “Amih kah hlang rhep ni, Galilee hoel van ni,” a ti nauh.
And a little after, they that stood by, said to Peter again, Thou art certainly one of them: for thou art a Galilean, and thy speech is like theirs.
71 Te dongah pahoi thae a phoei tih, “Hekah hlang na thui uh he ka ming moenih, “tila a toemngam.
But he began to curse and swear saying, I do not know this man of whom ye speak: And the cock crowed a second time.
72 Ai a pabae la pahoi khong tih Jesuh loh anih taengah, “Ai hnavoei a khong tom ah kai voeithum nan huek uh tak ni,” a ti nah ol te Peter loh a poek tih hlut rhap.
Then Peter called to mind the word which Jesus had said to him, Before the cock crow twice thou wilt deny me thrice. And he covered his face and wept.
