< Thothuengnah 10 >

1 Aaron ca rhoi Nadab neh Abihu loh amah amah baelphaih te a loh rhoi tih hmai soah a tloeng rhoi. Te phoeiah bo-ul te a khueh thil rhoi tih hmai hloeh neh BOEIPA mikhmuh ah a khueh rhoi. Te te amih rhoi taengah a uen dae moenih.
Then Aaron’s sons, Nadab and Abihu, took each man his censer and placed therein fire, and put thereon incense, —and brought near before Yahweh strange fire, which he had not commanded them.
2 Te vaengah BOEIPA hmai lamkah hmai ha thoeng tih amih rhoi te a hlawp dongah BOEIPA mikhmuh ah duek rhoi.
Then came there forth fire from before Yahweh, and consumed them, —and they died before Yahweh.
3 Te dongah Moses loh Aaron taengah, “BOEIPA loh, 'Kai neh aka yoei taengah ka ciim uh vetih pilnam boeih kah mikhmuh ah ka thangpom uh ni,’ a ti te a thui coeng he,” a ti nah. Te vaengah Aaron khaw kuemsuem sut.
Then said Moses unto Aaron—The very thing, that Yahweh spake, saying—In them that draw near to me, must I be hallowed, And before the faces of all the people, must I get myself honour, —And Aaron, was dumb.
4 Te phoeiah Moses loh Aaron kah a napa noe Uzziel ca rhoi Mishael neh Elizaphan te a khue tih, “Halo rhoi lah. Na manuca rhoi he hmuencim hmai lamloh rhaehhmuen vongvoel la kawt uh,” a ti nah.
Then called Moses unto Mishael, and unto Elzaphan, sons of Uzziel, uncle of Aaron, —and said unto them—Draw near bear away your brethren from before the sanctuary, unto the outside of the camp.
5 Te dongah Moses kah olpaek vanbangla halo uh tih amih rhoi te a angkidung dongah rhaehhmuen vongvoel la a koh uh.
So they drew near and bare them away, in their tunics, unto the outside of the camp, —as spake Moses.
6 Te phoeiah Moses loh Aaron, a ca rhoi Eleazar neh Ithamar taengah, “Na lu te lim uh boeh, na himbai khaw phen uh boeh. Te daengah ni a thintoek ah rhaengpuei pum loh na duek uh pawt eh. Tedae Israel imkhui boeih ah BOEIPA loh hmai neh a hoeh na manuca rhoek te tah rhah uh mai saeh.
Then said Moses unto Aaron and to Eleazar and to Ithamar, his sons—Your heads, ye may not bare and your garments, ye shall not rend so shall ye not die, neither against all the assembly, will he be wroth, —but let, your brethren the whole house of Israel, bewail the consuming fire wherewith Yahweh hath consumed.
7 Te dongah tingtunnah dap thohka lamkah moe uh boeh. Na soah BOEIPA kah koelhnah situi dongah na duek uh ve,” a ti nah. Te dongah Moses kah olthui bangla a saii uh.
But, from the entrance of the tent of meeting, shall ye not go forth, lest ye die, for, the anointing oil of Yahweh is upon you. And they did according to the word of Moses.
8 BOEIPA loh Aaron te a voek tih,
Then spake Yahweh unto Aaron, saying:
9 “Namah neh namah taengkah na ca rhoek loh tingtunnah dap khuila na kun uh vaengah misurtui khaw, yu khaw o boeh. Te daengah ni na cadilcahma ham khaw kumhal khosing vanbangla na duek uh pawt eh.
Wine and strong drink, thou mayest not drink, —thou nor thy sons with thee when ye enter into the tent of meeting, so shall ye not die, —an age-abiding statute to your generations;
10 Cimcaihnah laklo neh rhongingnah laklo ah, rhalawt laklo neh aka cil laklo ah paekboe ham om,” a ti nah.
That ye may make a difference, between the sacred and the common, —and between the unclean and the clean;
11 Israel ca rhoek thuinuet ham oltlueh cungkuem te khaw BOEIPA loh amih ham Moses kut ah a thui pah.
And may teach the sons of Israel, —all the statutes which Yahweh hath spoken unto them, by the mediation of Moses.
12 Te dongah Moses loh Aaron, Eleazar neh Ithamar koca aka sueng rhoek te, “BOEIPA hmaihlutnah dong lamkah khocang aka coih te lo uh. Tedae te tah a cim kah a cim dongah hmueihtuk taengah vaidamding la ca uh.
Then spake Moses unto Aaron and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar his sons that were left, Take ye the meal-offering that is left of the altar-flames of Yahweh, and eat it unleavened beside the altar, —for, most holy, it is;
13 Kai ng'uen van coeng dongah BOEIPA hmaihlutnah khui lamkah khocang te namah kah buhvae neh namah koca rhoek kah buhvae la hmuen cim ah ca uh.
therefore shall ye eat it in a holy place, for, thine by statute, and thy sons’ by statute, it is, from among the altar-flames of Yahweh, —for, so, am I commanded.
14 Tedae Israel ca rhoek kah rhoepnah hmueih khuiah thueng hmueih kah a rhang neh khosaa kah a laeng tah namah kah maehvae neh, na ca rhoek kah maehvae coeng ni. Na capa rhoek, na canu rhoek neh namah kah hmuen saelh ah ca uh.
And the wave-breast, and the heave-shoulder, shall ye eat in clean place, thou, and thy sons and thy daughters with thee, —for as thine by statute and thy sons’ by statute, have they been given, from among the peace-offerings of the sons of Israel.
15 Khosaa kah a laeng neh thueng hmueih kah a rhang khaw maehtha hmaihlutnah khaw BOEIPA mikhmuh kah thueng hmueih la thueng ham khuen uh. BOEIPA kah a uen vanbangla namah ham neh na ca rhoek ham kumhal ah maehvae la om saeh,” a ti nah.
The heave-shoulder and the wave-breast upon the altar-flames of the fat portions, shall they bring in, to wave as a wave-offering, before Yahweh, —so shall they be thine, and thy sons’ with thee, by an age-abiding statute, As Yahweh hath commanded.
16 Te phoeiah boirhaem maae te Moses loh a tlap a tlap hatah vawl ana hai pauh. Te dongah Aaron koca rhoek khuiah aka sueng Eleazar neh Ithamar taengah a thintoek tih,
Now, as for the sin-bearing goat, Moses diligently sought it but lo! it had been burnt up, —then was he wroth against Eleazar and against Ithamar, the sons of Aaron that were left, saying:
17 “A cim kah a cim boirhaem he balae tih hmuencim hmuen ah na caak uh pawh He khaw rhaengpuei kathaesainah aka phuei tih BOEIPA mikhmuh ah amih kah tholh aka dawth hamla nangmih taengah m'paek dae.
Wherefore did ye not eat the sin-bearer in the holy place? for most, holy, it is, —and thee same, hath he given you that ye may bear the iniquity of the assembly, to put a propitiatory-covering over them before Yahweh.
18 A thii te hmuencim la a khuen moenih ko he. Kang uen bangla hmuencim ah ca khaw ca uh yap mai saw,” a ti nah.
Lo! the blood thereof had not been taken into the holy place, within, —ye should have, indeed eaten, it, in a holy place, as I commanded.
19 Te vaengah Aaron loh Moses taengah, “Tihnin ah a boirhaem neh hmueihhlutnah te khaw BOEIPA mikhmuh ah a nawn uh coeng dae tahae kah bangla kai taengah thoeng coeng he. Tihnin ah boirhaem he ka ca koinih BOEIPA mikhmuh ah then aya?,” a ti nah.
Then spake Aaron unto Moses—Lo! this very day, when they had brought near their own sin-bearer, and their own ascending-sacrifice, there befell me such things as these, —if, then, I had eaten of the sin-bearer this day, would it have been well-pleasing in the eyes of Yahweh?
20 Tedae Moses loh a yaak vaengah a mikhmuh ah a thuem sak.
And, when Moses heard that, then was it well-pleasing in his eyes.
