1 Abimelek hnukah tah Issackhar hlang Dodo koca Puah capa Tola tah Israel aka khang ham ha phoe bal tih anih tah Ephraim tlang kah Shamir ah kho a sak.
And there riseth after Abimelech, to save Israel, Tola son of Puah, son of Dodo, a man of Issachar, and he is dwelling in Shamir, in the hill-country of Ephraim,
2 Israel te kum kul kum thum lai a tloek pah tih a duek vaengah Shamir ah a up uh.
and he judgeth Israel twenty and three years, and he dieth, and is buried in Shamir.
3 Anih hnukah Giladi Jair ha phoe tih Israel te kum kul kum nit lai a tloek pah.
And there riseth after him Jair the Gileadite, and he judgeth Israel twenty and two years,
4 Laak sawmthum dongah aka ngol capa sawmthum anih taengah om. Amih taengkah khopuei sawmthum te Gilead kho ah tah tihnin due Jair vangca rhoek la a khue uh.
and he hath thirty sons riding on thirty ass-colts, and they have thirty cities, (they call them Havoth-Jair unto this day), which [are] in the land of Gilead;
5 Jair a duek vaengah Kamon ah a up uh.
and Jair dieth, and is buried in Kamon.
6 BOEIPA mikhmuh ah boethae saii ham Israel ca rhoek loh a khoep uh bal tih Baal rhoek khaw, Ashtoreth khaw, Aram pathen khaw, Sidon pathen, Moab pathen, Ammon ca rhoek pathen, Philisti pathen taengah tho a thueng uh. Yahweh te a hnoo uh tih thothueng uh pawh.
And the sons of Israel add to do the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, and serve the Baalim, and Ashtaroth, and the gods of Aram, and the gods of Zidon, and the gods of Moab, and the gods of the Bene-Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines, and forsake Jehovah, and have not served Him;
7 Te dongah BOEIPA kah thintoek loh Israel a sai thil tih, amih te Philisti kut dongah khaw, Ammon ca rhoek kah kut dongah a yoih.
and the anger of Jehovah burneth against Israel, and He selleth them into the hand of the Philistines, and into the hand of the Bene-Ammon,
8 Te dongah Israel ca rhoek neh Jordan rhalvang Amori kho Gilead kah Israel ca rhoek boeih tah a noi uh tih a kum la kum hlai rhet khuiah a neet uh.
and they crush and oppress the sons of Israel in that year — eighteen years all the sons of Israel [who] are beyond the Jordan, in the land of the Amorite, which [is] in Gilead.
9 Judah, Benjamin, Ephraim imkhui te vathoh thil ham khaw Ammon ca rhoek loh Jordan a poeng uh dongah Israel te mat a daengdaeh.
And the Bene-Ammon pass over the Jordan to fight also against Judah, and against Benjamin, and against the house of Ephraim, and Israel hath great distress.
10 Te dongah Israel ca rhoek loh BOEIPA taengah pang uh tih, “Na taengah ka tholh uh dongah ka Pathen te ka hnoo uh tih Baal taengah tho ka thueng uh,” a ti uh.
And the sons of Israel cry unto Jehovah, saying, 'We have sinned against Thee, even because we have forsaken our God, and serve the Baalim.'
11 Te vaengah Israel ca rhoek te BOEIPA loh, “Egypt vaengah khaw, Amori vaengah khaw, Ammon ca rhoek neh Philisti vaengah khaw,
And Jehovah saith unto the sons of Israel, '[Have I] not [saved you] from the Egyptians, and from the Amorite, from the Bene-Ammon, and from the Philistines?
12 Sidoni, Amalek, Moan loh nangmih n'nen uh tih kai taengla na pang uh vaengah khaw nangmih te amih kut lamloh kan khang uh moenih a?
And the Zidonians, and Amalek, and Maon have oppressed you, and ye cry unto Me, and I save you out of their hand;
13 Tedae nangmih loh kai nan hnoo uh tih pathen tloe rhoek taengah tho na thueng uh. Te dongah nangmih khang hamla ka khoep mahpawh.
and ye — ye have forsaken Me, and serve other gods, therefore I add not to save you.
14 Cet uh lamtah Pathen rhoek taengah pang uh, amih te coelh uh, amih loh na citcai tue vaengah nangmih te n'khang uh saeh,” a ti nah.
Go and cry unto the gods on which ye have fixed; they — they save you in the time of your adversity.'
15 Tedae Israel ca rhoek loh BOEIPA taengah, “Ka tholh uh coeng, na mikhmuh ah then na ti bangla namah loh kaimih taengah boeih saii mai, tedae tihnin ah he kaimih n'huul mai laeh,” a ti uh.
And the sons of Israel say unto Jehovah, 'We have sinned, do Thou to us according to all that is good in Thine eyes; only deliver us, we pray Thee, this day.'
16 Te vaengah amih khui lamkah kholong pathen rhoek te a khoe uh tih BOEIPA taengah tho a thueng daengah Israel kah thakthaenah khuikah a hinglu loh rhaemhal pueng.
And they turn aside the gods of the stranger out of their midst, and serve Jehovah, and His soul is grieved with the misery of Israel.
17 Te vaengah Ammon ca rhoek loh pang uh tih Gilead ah rhaeh uh. Israel ca rhoek khaw tingtun uh van tih Mizpah ah rhaeh uh.
And the Bene-Ammon are called together, and encamp in Gilead, and the sons of Israel are gathered together, and encamp in Mizpah.
18 Te dongah Gilead kah pilnam mangpa rhoek loh a hui patoeng taengah tah, “U hlang mai khaw Ammon ca rhoek tloek ham aka tlai lamham tah Gilead khosa boeih kah a lu la om saeh,” a ti uh.
And the people — heads of Gilead — say one unto another, 'Who [is] the man that doth begin to fight against the Bene-Ammon? he is for head to all inhabitants of Gilead.'
