< Johan 20 >
1 Sabbath poeng kah a khohnin lamhma mincang khohmuep pueng ah Magadala nu Mary te hlan la a pawk uh hatah hlan lamkah lungto vik a thoeih te a hmuh.
Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene comes early, while it was still darkness, to the sepulcher, and sees the stone taken away from the sepulcher.
2 Te dongah yong tih Simon Peter neh Jesuh loh a lungnah a tloe hnukbang taengah te cet. Te phoeiah amih taengah, “Boeipa te hlan lamkah vik a loh uh tih mela a khueh uh khaw ka ming uh pawh,” a ti nah.
Therefore she runs and comes to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and says to them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulcher, and we know not where they have laid him.
3 Te dongah Peter neh a tloe hnukbang te cet rhoi tih phuel la pawk uh.
Peter therefore went forth, and the other disciple, and they went toward the sepulcher.
4 Te vaengah panit la hmaih yong rhoi dae a tloe hnukbang loh Peter te a loe la a khal tih hlan te lamhma la a pha.
And the two men ran together, and the other disciple ran ahead quicker than Peter and came first to the sepulcher.
5 A sawt thuk vaengah himbai sut a om te a hmuh dae a khuila kun pawh.
And after stooping down, he sees the linen cloths lying, yet he entered not.
6 Te vaengah anih hnuk aka vai Simon Peter khaw ha pawk tih hlan khuila a kun hatah himbai kak a yalh te khaw,
Simon Peter therefore comes following him, and he entered into the sepulcher. And he sees the linen cloths lying,
7 A lu soah aka om himbaica te khaw himbai aka yalh taengah om pawt tih hmuen pakhat ah khaw hloep a tlim pawt te khaw a hmuh.
and the face cloth that was on his head, not lying with the linen cloths, but wrapped up in one place separately.
8 Te phoeiah hlan ah lamhma aka pha a tloe hnukbang te khaw kun tih a hmuh daengah a tangnah.
Therefore then the other disciple who came first to the sepulcher, also entered in, and he saw and believed.
9 Amah te duek lamkah a thoh ham a kuek ni tila cacim aka om te ming uh hlan.
For they had not yet known the scripture that he must rise from the dead.
10 Te phoeiah hnukbang rhoek te amamih im la koep mael uh.
So the disciples departed again to themselves.
11 Tedae Mary tah hlan kaeng ah pai tih rhap. Te tlam te a rhah doela hlan te a sawt thuk.
But Mary had stood outside near the sepulcher weeping. So, as she wept, she stooped down to the sepulcher.
12 Te vaengah puencawn rhoi tah phaeng a bok la Jesuh rhok a yalh nah a lu ah pakhat, a kho ah pakhat a ngol rhoi te a hmuh.
And she sees two agents in white, sitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus was lain.
13 Amih rhoi loh Mary te, “Huta balae na rhah,” a ti nah. Amih rhoi taengah, “Ka Boeipa te vik a khuen uh tih anih te mela a khueh uh khaw ka ming pawt,” a ti nah.
And those men say to her, Woman, why weep thou? She says to them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.
14 Hekah he a thui tih a hnuk la a mael vaengah Jesuh a pai te a hmuh dae Jesuh ni tila ming pawh.
And having said these things, she turned backward, and sees Jesus standing. And she had not known that it is Jesus.
Jesus says to her, Woman, why weep thou? Whom seek thou? That woman, supposing that he is the gardener, says to him, Sir, if thou have taken him, tell me where thou have laid him, and I will take him away.
16 Jesuh loh, “Mary,” a ti nah daengah amah te mael tih Hebrew ol la, “Rhabboni,” a ti nah. Te tah saya ni a thuingaih.
Jesus says to her, Mary. After turning around, that woman says to him, Rabboni, which says, Teacher.
17 Jesuh loh, “Kai n'taek boeh, Pa taengla ka caeh hlan dongah. Ka manuca rhoek taengah cet lamtah amih te, 'A pa neh na pa la aka om tih Kai kah Pathen neh nangmih kah Pathen taengah ka cet ni, ' tila thui pa dae,” a ti nah.
Jesus says to her, Do not touch me, for I have not yet ascended to my Father. But go to my brothers, and say to them, I ascend to my Father and your Father, and my God and your God.
18 Magadala nu Mary tah cet tih hnukbang rhoek taengah, “Boeipa te ka hmuh coeng, “tila puen. Anih taengkah a thui te khaw a thui.
Mary Magdalene comes informing the disciples that she has seen the Lord, and he spoke these things to her.
19 Te dongah Sabbath poeng kah lamhmacuek khohnin hlaem a pha. Te vaengah hnukbang rhoek tah Judah rhoek a rhihnah kongah a om nah thohka te a khaih uh. Jesuh tah ha pawk tih amih lakli ah pai pah. Te phoeiah amih te, “Nangmih taengah ngaimongnah om saeh,” a ti nah.
Therefore being evening that day, the first day of the week, and the doors having been shut where the disciples were who assembled because of fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and says to them, Peace to you.
20 Hekah he a thui phoeiah a kut neh a vae te amih a tueng. Hnukbang rhoek loh boeipa te a hmuh uh dongah omngaih uh.
And having said this, he showed them his hands and side. His disciples therefore rejoiced when they saw the Lord.
21 Te dongah Jesuh loh, “Ngaimongnah nangmih taengah om saeh, a pa loh kai n'tueih bangla kai loh nangmih kan tueih,” koep a ti nah.
Jesus therefore said to them again, Peace to you. As the Father has sent me, I also send you.
22 Te a thui phoeiah a hmuh tih amih te, “Mueihla Cim te doe uh.
And after saying this, he breathed on them, and says to them, Receive ye the Holy Spirit.
23 Khat khat kah tholhnah te na hlah uh atah amih te a hlah coeng. Khat khat kah te na pin uh atah a pin uh coeng,” a ti nah.
If ye forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them. If ye retain of any, they are retained.
24 Tedae hlainit khuikah pakhat Didymus la a khue Thomas tah Jesuh ha pawk vaengah amih taengah om pawh.
But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.
25 Te dongah hnukbang a tloe rhoek loh amah taengah, “Boeipa ka hmuh uh coeng,” a ti nauh. Tedae amih taengah, “A kut kah thicung ngo te ka hmuh tih thicung ngo ah ka kutdawn ka puei phoeiah a vae te ka kut neh yam pawt atah ka tangnah mahpawh,” a ti.
The other disciples therefore said to him, We have seen the Lord. But he said to them, Unless I may see the mark of the nails in his hands, and put my finger into the mark of the nails, and put my hand into his side, I will, no, not believe.
26 Hnin rhet phoeiah a hnukbang rhoek tah a khuiah koep om uh tih Thomas khaw amih taengah om. Thohka te a khaih uh dae ta Jesuh te ha pawk tih amih lakliah pai. Te phoeiah, “Ngaimongnah nangmih taengah om saeh,” a ti nah.
And after eight days his disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus comes, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace to you.
27 Te phoeiah Thomas te, “Na kutdawn te hela hang khuen lamtah ka kut so lah. Na kut te khaw yueng lamtah ka vae te puei lah. Tedae aka tangnahmueh boel lamtah uepom la om lah,” a ti nah.
Then he says to Thomas, Bring thy finger here, and see my hands, and bring thy hand, and put into my side, and do not become faithless, but believing.
28 Thomas loh amah te a doo tih, “Ka Boeipa neh ka Pathen,” a ti nah.
Thomas answered and said to him, My Lord and my God.
29 Anih te Jesuh loh, “Kai nan hmuh dongah nan tangnah. Hmuh mueh la aka tangnah rhoek tah a yoethen uh,” a ti nah.
Jesus says to him, Because thou have seen me, thou have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen, and have believed.
30 Te dongah a hnukbang rhoek hmaiah Jesuh loh miknoek a tloe muep a saii. Te tah hekah cabu ah daek la a om moenih.
And indeed therefore many other signs Jesus did in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book.
31 Tedae Jesuh te Pathen capa Khrih ni tila na tangnah uh ham neh aka tangnah rhoek loh amah ming neh hingnah na dang uh ham ni hekah he a daek.
But these are written, so that ye may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing ye may have life in his name.
