< Joba 37 >
1 He dongah ka lungbuei lakueng tih a hmuen lamloh cungpet.
At this also my heart trembleth, and is moved out of its place.
2 A ol dongkah khoponah te hnatun hnatun. A ka lamloh caitawknah thoeng.
Hear attentively the noise of His voice, and the sound that goeth out of His mouth.
3 Vaan boeih hmuiah a hlah tih a vangnah loh diklai hmoi duela pawk.
He sendeth it forth under the whole heaven, and His lightning unto the ends of the earth.
4 A hnukkah a kawk ol khaw a hoemdamnah ol neh hum tih a ol a yaak vaengah rhaek uelh sak boeh.
After it a voice roareth; He thundereth with the voice of His majesty; and He stayeth them not when His voice is heard.
5 Pathen loh a ol neh khobaerhambae a saii khungdaeng tih hum dae m'ming uh moenih.
God thundereth marvellously with His voice; great things doeth He, which we cannot comprehend.
6 Vuelsong neh khotlan khonal te, 'Diklai ah om saeh,’ a ti vaengah khotlan khonal khaw a sarhi tak.
For He saith to the snow: 'Fall thou on the earth'; likewise to the shower of rain, and to the showers of His mighty rain.
7 Amah kutngo hlang boeih ming sak ham hlang boeih kah kut te rhodaek a soei pah.
He sealeth up the hand of every man, that all men whom He hath made may know it.
8 Te vaengah mulhing khaw a khui la kun tih a khuisaek ah kho a sak.
Then the beasts go into coverts, and remain in their dens.
9 Cangpalam te imkhui lamloh, khosik te tlangpuei lamloh ha thoeng.
Out of the Chamber cometh the storm; and cold out of the north.
10 Pathen kah hiil lamloh rhaelnu khaw a khueh tih tui daang mangdaeng mangtok la om.
By the breath of God ice is given, and the breadth of the waters is straitened.
11 Khomai te cingtui loh a rhih sak tih cingmai loh amah kah vangnah te a taekyak.
Yea, He ladeth the thick cloud with moister, He spreadeth abroad the cloud of His lightning;
12 Te khaw diklai kah lunglai hman ah a uen boeih te saii hamla a niing, a niing dongah kuluk la a hil.
And they are turned round about by His guidance, that they may do whatsoever He commandeth them upon the face of the habitable world:
13 Te te caitueng lam khaw, a khohmuen ham khaw, sitlohnah ham khaw a thoeng sak.
Whether it be for correction, or for His earth, or for mercy, that He cause it to come.
14 Job, he he hnakaeng lah. Pai lamtah Pathen kah khobaerhambae he yakming lah.
Hearken unto this, O Job; stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.
15 Te rhoek soah Pathen loh a khueh tih a cingmai kah vangnah a sae te na ming a?
Dost thou know how God enjoineth them, and causeth the lightning of His cloud to shine?
16 Poeknah rhuemtuet, mangvawt khomai a haainah te na ming a?
Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of Him who is perfect in knowledge?
17 Tuithim loh khohmuen a mong sak vaengah na himbai te aka bae sak,
Thou whose garments are warm, when the earth is still by reason of the south wind;
18 Hmaidan a hlawn bangla khomong a thah la amah taengah na nulh thai aya?
Canst thou with Him spread out the sky, which is strong as a molten mirror?
19 Amah taengah metla n'thui ham khaw kaimih tueng lah. Hmaisuep hmai ah n'tawn uh thai pawt oe.
Teach us what we shall say unto Him; for we cannot order our speech by reason of darkness.
20 Hlang loh a dolh hamla thui cakhaw ka thui bangla amah taengah a tae pa aya?
Shall it be told Him that I would speak? Or should a man wish that he were swallowed up?
21 Tahae ah khaw vangnah a hmuh uh moenih. A aa te khohli loh a yawn tih a caihcil hnukkah khomong dongah tueng.
And now men see not the light which is bright in the skies; but the wind passeth, and cleanseth them.
22 Tlangpuei lamkah sui te mueithennah rhih om Pathen taengla pawk.
Out of the north cometh golden splendour, about God is terrible majesty.
23 Tlungthang te thadueng a len dongah a tiktamnah m'hmuh lek moenih. Duengnah khaw a cungkuem dongah hlang a phaep moenih.
The Almighty, whom we cannot find out, is excellent in power, yet to judgment and plenteous justice He doeth no violence.
24 Hlang rhoek loh amah te a rhih uh tangloeng dongah lungbuei aka cueih rhoek takuem khaw a sawt moenih,” a ti.
Men do therefore fear Him; He regardeth not any that are wise of heart.
