< Isaiah 59 >
1 Khang hamla BOEIPA kut loh ngun pawt tih a yaak ham a hna a bing moenih.
Lo! the hand of Yahweh is not too short to save, —Neither is his ear too heavy to hear.
2 Tedae nangmih kathaesainah he tuiphih rhaboe la nangmih laklo neh na Pathen laklo ah om. A yaak ham akhaw nangmih kah tholhnah kongah ni nangmih taeng lamkah maelhmai a thuh.
But, your iniquities, have become separators betwixt you and your God, And your sins, have caused a hiding of face from you that he should-not hear.
3 Na kut ah thii neh, na kutdawn te thaesainah neh nok uh. Na hmuilai loh a honghi a thui tih na ol te dumlai la muep.
For, your hands, are defiled with blood, And, your fingers, with iniquity, —Your lips, have spoken falsehood, and Your tongue, muttereth, perversity.
4 Duengnah neh aka khue pawt tih uepomnah neh lai aka tloek pawt tah, hinghong dongah pangtung tih a poeyoek la cal. Thakthaenah a yom tih boethae a cun.
None, sueth in righteousness, and None, pleadeth in faithfulness, —Men are trusting in confusion, And speaking vanity, Conceiving wickedness And bringing forth iniquity:
5 Rhulthae duei te a khaeh uh tih bumba rhui a yen uh. A duei aka ca tah duek. A hep vaengah rhulthae la khae.
Viper’s eggs, do they hatch, Spider’s threads, do they weave, —He that eateth of their eggs, dieth, And, that which is crushed, bringeth forth an adder;
6 Amih kah rhui te himbai la poeh hae pawt tih amamih kah bibi nen khaw khuk uh tloel. Amih kah khoboe khaw boethae kah khoboe ni. A kut dongkah bisai khaw kuthlahnah ni.
Their threads, shall not become a garment, Neither shall they cover themselves with their fabrics, —Their fabrics, are fabrics of iniquity, Yea the product of violence is in their hands;
7 A kho te boethae taengla yong paitok tih ommongsitoe kah thii kingling ham tokthuet uh. Amih kopoek he boethae kah kopoek neh rhoelrhanah ni. Amih kah longpuei ah pocinah om.
Their feet, to mischief, do run, And they speed to shed innocent blood, —Their devices, are devices of iniquity, Wasting and destruction, are in their high roads;
8 Rhoepnah longpuei te ming uh pawt tih a namtlak ah tiktamnah om pawh. A hawn te amamih taengla a kawn sak uh tih a sokah aka pah boeih loh rhoepnah ming voel pawh.
the way of well-being, have they not known, And there is no justice in their tracks, —Their paths, have they made crooked for themselves, None who treadeth therein knoweth well—being.
9 Te dongah tiktamnah he mamih lamloh lakhla tih duengnah loh mamih ng'kae voel pawh. Vangnah te n'lamtawn uh dae hmuep coeng ke. Khosaeng yueng la khohmuep ah m'pongpa uh.
For this cause, hath justice removed far from us, And righteousness overtaketh us not, —We wait for light, But lo! darkness, For brightness, In thick darkness, we walk:
10 Mikdael bangla pangbueng m'phatuem uh tih mik aka mueh bangla m'phatuem uh. Khothun ah khaw hlaemhmah bangla, thaom thathueng lakli ah hlang duek bangla m'paloe uh.
We grope, as blind men for a wall, Yea, as men without eyes, do we grope, —We have stumbled at broad noon as though it were twilight, In desolate places like the dead!
11 Mamih he vom bangla boeih n'kawk uh tih vahui bangla n'tuk la n'tuk uh. Tiktamnah te n'lamtawn dae om voel pawt tih khangnah khaw mamih lamloh hla coeng.
We growl like bears all of us, And, like doves, do we, mournfully coo, —We wait For justice, and there is none, For salvation it is far from us!
12 Kaimih kah boekoek he na hmaiah pung tih kaimih kah tholhnah tah kamamih taengah phoe coeng. Mamih kah boekoek he mamih taengah om tih mamih kathaesainah te khaw m'ming uh.
For our transgressions have multiplied before thee, And, our sins, have witnessed against us, —For, our transgressions, are with us, And as for our iniquities, we acknowledge them:
13 BOEIPA taengah boekoek neh basa tih mamih kah Pathen hnuk lamloh balkhong coeng. Hnaemtaeknah neh a cal phoeiah koeknah la vawn tih a lungbuei lamkah a honghi ol te a thuep.
Transgressing, and denying Yahweh, And turning away from following our God, —Speaking oppression and revolt, Conceiving, and muttering from the heart, words of falsehood.
14 Tiktamnah loh a hnuk la balkhong coeng tih duengnah loh a hlahloei ah pai. Oltak khaw toltung ah paloe tih oldueng loh a kun ham coeng pawh.
So then there hath been a driving back of justice, And righteousness, afar off, standeth, —For truth, hath stumbled in the broad-way, And, right, cannot enter;
15 Oltak aka om te a hmaai tih boethae lamkah aka nong khaw a buem hnap. Tedae tiktamnah a tal te BOEIPA loh a hmuh vaengah a mik ah a lolh pah.
And the truth hath been found missing, And he that hath turned away from wrong is liable to be despoiled, And when, Yahweh, looked, Then was it grievous in his eyes that there was no justice:
16 Hlang a om pawt te a hmuh vaengah a doo pawt te khaw hal coeng. Tedae amah ham khaw amah bantha long ni a khang pah tih a duengnah long ni amah a talong.
When he saw that there was no mighty man, Then was he astonished that there was none to interpose, —So his own arm brought him salvation, And his own righteousness, the same, upheld him;
17 Duengnah te caempho la a bai tih, khangnah lumuek te a lu dongah a muek. Phulohnah himbai te hnicu la a bai tih thatlainah neh hnikul bangla khuk uh.
And he put on Righteousness as a coat of mail, And a helmet of victory upon his head, —And he put on the garments of avenging, for clothing, And wrapped about him as a cloak—jealousy,
18 A khoboe bangla kosi te a rhal taengah, a thaphu te a thunkha taengah a thuung tangloeng ni. Sanglak rhoek taengah khaw a thaphu te a thuung ni.
According to their deeds, accordingly, will he repay, Indignation to his adversaries, Recompense to his enemies, —To the Coastlands—recompense, will he repay:
19 BOEIPA ming te khotlak lamloh, a thangpomnah te khomik khocuk lamloh a rhih uh ni. Hlang aka va tuiva bangla ha pawk vaengah anih te BOEIPA mueihla loh a rhaelrham sak.
That they may revere—From the West the name of Yahweh, And from the Rising of the Sun his glory, For he will come in like a rushing stream, the breath of Yahweh, driving it on;
20 Aka tlan kung loh Zion neh boekoek aka mael tak Jakob te a paan ni. BOEIPA kah olphong ni.
So shall come in for Zion, a Redeemer, Even for such as are turning from transgression in Jacob, —Declareth Yahweh.
21 Kamah kah paipi he kamah long ni amih taengah ka khueh. BOEIPA loh, “Ka mueihla he nang soah, ka ol he na ka dongah ka khueh vetih na ka lamloh, na tiingan kah ka lamloh, na tiingan kah tiingan patoeng kah ka lamkah khaw nong mahpawh,” a ti. BOEIPA loh tahae lamkah neh kumhal ham ni a thui.
And as for me, this, shall be my covenant with them, Saith Yahweh: My spirit that is upon thee, And my words which I have put in thy mouth, —Shall not be taken out of thy mouth—Nor out of the mouth of thy seed. Nor out of the mouth of thy seeds seed, Saith Yahweh, From henceforth even unto times age-abiding.
