< Isaiah 51 >
1 Duengnah aka hloem tih BOEIPA aka tlap rhoek loh kai ol he hnatun lah. Nangmih n'daeh nah lungpang neh nangmih n'koeih nah lungkhui tangrhom te paelki uh.
Hearken unto Me, ye pursuing righteousness, Seeking Jehovah, Look attentively unto the rock — ye have been hewn, And unto the hole of the pit — ye have been digged.
2 Na pa Abraham neh nangmih aka yom Sarah te so lah. Anih te pakhat bueng ni ka khue dae anih yoethen ka paek tih ka ping sak.
Look attentively unto Abraham your father, And unto Sarah — she bringeth you forth, For — one — I have called him, And I bless him, and multiply him.
3 BOEIPA loh Zion a hloep vetih a imrhong khaw boeih a hloep pah ni. A khosoek te Eden bangla, a kolken te BOEIPA dum bangla a khueh ni. A khuiah omngaihnah neh kohoenah a hmuh vetih, uemonah neh oldi ol a yaak ni.
For Jehovah hath comforted Zion, He hath comforted all her wastes, And He setteth her wilderness as Eden, And her desert as a garden of Jehovah, Joy, yea, gladness is found in her, Confession, and the voice of song.
4 Ka pilnam loh kamah taengah hnatung uh lamtah ka namtu loh kamah taengah hnakaeng uh. Olkhueng tah kai taeng lamloh ha thoeng vetih ka tiktamnah te pilnam kah vangnah la ka hoep ni.
Attend unto Me, O My people, And, O My nation, unto Me give ear. For a law from Me goeth out, And My judgment to the light, Peoples I do cause to rest.
5 Ka duengnah he yoei tih kai kah daemnah tah ha pawk coeng. Ka ban loh pilnam ham lai a tloek ni. Kamah he sanglak rhoek loh n'lamtawn uh tih ka ban a ngaiuep uh.
Near [is] My righteousness, Gone out hath My salvation and Mine arms, Peoples they judge, on Me isles do wait, Yea, on Mine arm they do wait with hope.
6 Na mik vaan la dai lamtah diklai dangdik ke khaw paelki lah. Vaan ke hmaikhu bangla cing vetih diklai khaw himbai bangla hmawn ni. A khuikah khosa rhoek khaw pilhlip bangla duek ni. Kamah kah khangnah he kumhal duela om vetih ka duengnah he rhihyawp mahpawh.
Lift ye up to the heavens your eyes, And look attentively unto the earth beneath, For the heavens as smoke have vanished, And the earth as a garment weareth out, And its inhabitants as gnats do die, And My salvation is to the age, And My righteousness is not broken.
7 Duengnah aka ming tih a lungbuei ah ka olkhueng aka dueh pilnam loh kamah taengah hnatun uh lah. Hlanghing kah kokhahnah te rhih uh boel lamtah amih kah honah dongah rhihyawp uh boeh.
Hearken unto Me, ye who know righteousness, A people, in whose heart [is] My law, Fear ye not the reproach of men, And for their reviling be not affrighted,
8 Amih te bungbo loh himbai bangla a caak vetih keet loh tumul bangla a yoop ni. Tedae kai kah duengnah tah kumhal duela, kamah kah khangnah he cadilcahma kah cadilcahma duela om ni.
For as a garment eat them doth a moth, And as wool eat them doth a worm, And My righteousness is to the age, And My salvation to all generations.
9 Haenghang laeh, haenghang laeh, BOEIPA bantha kah a sarhi te bai laeh. Khosuen thawnpuei khothoeng tue kah bangla haenghang laeh. Rahab aka daeh tih tuihnam aka poeih te nang moenih a?
Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of Jehovah, Awake, as [in] days of old, generations of the ages, Art not Thou it that is hewing down Rahab, Piercing a dragon!
10 Tuipuei tui aka dung tangkik aka kak sak, a tlan rhoek loh a kat nah ham longpuei te tuipuei dung ah aka khueh khaw nang moenih a?
Art not Thou it that is drying up a sea, Waters of a great deep? That hath made deep places of a sea A way for the passing of the redeemed?
11 Te dongah BOEIPA kah a lat rhoek tah ha mael uh vetih tamlung neh, a lu dongkah kumhal kohoenah neh Zion a pha uh ni. Omngaihnah neh kohoenah loh a kae vaengah tah kothaenah neh hueinah khaw rhaelrham pawn ni.
And the ransomed of Jehovah turn back, And they have come to Zion with singing, And joy age-during [is] on their head, Gladness and joy they attain, Fled away have sorrow and sighing,
12 Nangmih aka hloep te khaw kai kamah ni. Nang hlanghing, duek aka rhih te unim? Hlang capa he sulrham bangla aka lam ni a tloeng uh.
I — I [am] He — your comforter, Who [art] thou — and thou art afraid of man? he dieth! And of the son of man — grass he is made!
13 Nang aka saii, vaan aka dih tih diklai aka suen BOEIPA te na hnilh. Kosi kah a kilh dongah hnin takuem na rhih nainoe mai. Tedae phae hamla aka tawn uh tih kosi kah a kilh te ta melae?
And thou dost forget Jehovah thy maker, Who is stretching out the heavens, and founding earth, And thou dost fear continually all the day, Because of the fury of the oppressor, As he hath prepared to destroy. And where [is] the fury of the oppressor?
14 A khuum hlang te koeloe a hlah vetih vaam khuiah khaw duek mahpawh, a buh khaw vaitah mahpawh.
Hastened hath a wanderer to be loosed, And he doth not die at the pit, And his bread is not lacking.
15 Kai Yahovah na Pathen loh tuitunli khaw a kueng tih a tuiphu loh hue a sak. A ming tah caempuei BOEIPA ni.
And I [am] Jehovah thy God, Quieting the sea, when its billows roar, Jehovah of Hosts [is] His name.
16 Na ka dongah ka ol kang khueh tih ka kut kah hlipkhup neh nang kan dah. Vaan aka ling tih diklai aka suen loh Zion te, “Nang tah ka pilnam ni,” a ti ham ni.
And I put My words in thy mouth, And with the shadow of My hand have covered thee, To plant the heavens, and to found earth, And to say to Zion, 'My people [art] thou.'
17 Haenghang laeh, haenghang laeh Jerusalem aw thoo laeh. BOEIPA kut lamkah kosi boengloeng na ok coeng. Ngaengainah boengloeng dongkah a tuisam te na ci tih na ok.
Stir thyself, stir thyself, rise, Jerusalem, Who hast drunk from the hand of Jehovah The cup of His fury, The goblet, the cup of trembling, thou hast drunk, Thou hast wrung out.
18 A ca sak boeih loh amah te khool pawt tih a ca cah boeih loh a kut ah moem voel pawh.
There is not a leader to her Out of all the sons she hath borne, And there is none laying hold on her hand Out of all the sons she hath nourished.
19 Te rhoi loh nang n'doe coeng. Nang hamla unim aka rhaehba lah ve? rhoelrhanah neh pocinah, khokha neh cunghang lakli ah u nang nim kan hloep bal eh?
These two are meeting thee, who is moved for thee? Spoiling and destruction — Famine and sword, who — I comfort thee?
20 Na ca rhoek loh saa uh tih thaang dongkah cuung bangla imlang tom ah lu a doelh uh. Te dongah BOEIPA kah kosi neh na Pathen kah tluungnah ngawn tah rhoeh coeng.
Thy sons have been wrapped up, they have lain down, At the head of all out places, as a wild ox [in] a net, They are full of the fury of Jehovah, The rebuke of Thy God.
21 Te dongah mangdaeng neh misurtui nen pawt khaw aka rhuihmil tarha loh ya laeh he.
Therefore, hear, I pray thee, this, O afflicted and drunken one, and not with wine,
22 Tangkhuet la a pilnam aka rhuun na Boeipa Yahovah neh na Pathen loh, “Na kut lamkah rhuihmil boengloeng te ka loh coeng he ne, kai kah kosi boengloeng dongkah tuisam te ok hamla koep koei voel boeh.
Thus said thy Lord Jehovah, and thy God, He pleadeth [for] his people: 'Lo, I have taken out of thy hand the cup of trembling, The goblet, the cup of My fury, Thou dost not add to drink it any more.
23 'Na hinglu te duen lamtah kang kan uh mai eh,’ a ti uh tih nang aka pae sak rhoek, nang nam te diklai bangla na duen pah tih long bangla aka pongpa thil rhoek kah kut dongah ni ka paek pawn eh,” a ti.
And I have put it into the hand of those afflicting thee, Who have said to thy soul, Bow down, and we pass over, And thou makest as the earth thy body, And as the street to those passing by!'
