1 Ka sal Jakob neh ka coelh Israel loh hnatun laeh.
Yet sh'ma ·hear obey· now, Jacob [Supplanter] my servant, and Israel [God prevails], whom I have chosen.
2 Hekah nang aka saii Yahovah long ni a thui. Te dongah bungko khuiah nang aka hlinsai loh nang m'bom ni. Ka sal Jakob nang rhih boeh, Jeshurun amah te khaw ka coelh coeng.
This is what Adonai who made you, and formed you from the womb, who will help you says: “Don’t be afraid, Jacob [Supplanter] my servant; and you, Jeshurun [Upright one], whom I have chosen.
3 Tuihalh te tui neh, laiphuei te tuisih neh ka suep ni. Na tiingan te ka Mueihla neh, na cadil te ka yoethennah neh ka lun thil ni.
For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and streams on the dry ground. I will pour my Ruach ·Spirit, Breath· on your descendants, and my blessing on your offspring:
4 Te vaengah rhahlawn tui taengkah tuirhi bangla sulrham lakli ah daih ni.
and they will spring up among the grass, as willows by the watercourses.
5 He long khaw, 'Kai tah BOEIPA ham ni, ' a ti vetih, ke long khaw Jakob ming neh a khue ni. He kah loh a kut neh BOEIPA kawng a daek vetih Israel ming neh a mingkhaep ni.
One will say, ‘I am Adonai’s;’ and another will be called by the name of Jacob [Supplanter]; and another will write with his hand ‘to Adonai,’ and honor the name of Israel [God prevails].”
6 Israel manghai Yahovah neh anih aka tlan caempuei BOEIPA loh, “Lamhma khaw kamah, lamhnuk khaw kamah coeng tih kai pawt atah Pathen tloe a om moenih.
This is what Adonai, the King of Israel [God prevails], and his Redeemer, Adonai Tzva'ot [Yahweh Commander of heaven’s armies], says: “I am the first א (Aleph) Α (Alpha), and I am the last ת (Tav) Ω (Omega); and besides me there are no elohim ·gods, judges·.
7 Te dongah kamah bangla aka om te unim? Khue saeh lamtah doek lah saeh. Khosuen kah pilnam ka khueh parhi te ka hmaiah tael lah saeh. Aka thoeng tih aka thoeng ham te khaw a taengah puen uh.
Who is like me? Who will call, and will declare it, and set it in order for me, since I established the ancient people? Let them declare the things that are coming, and that will happen.
8 Rhih boeh, tangyah khueh boeh. Nang kan yaak sak tih ka puen dangrhae moenih a? Nangmih tah kamah kah laipai rhoek ni. Kai pawt atah Pathen tloe om a? Lungpang khaw a om moenih, ka ming khaw ka ming moenih.
Don’t fear, neither be afraid. Haven’t I sh'ma ·heard obeyed, declared· it to you long ago, and shown it? You are my witnesses. Is there a God besides me? Indeed, there is not. I don’t know any other Rock.”
9 Amih mueithuk aka hlinsai khaw boeih hinghong. A sanaep nen khaw a hoeikhang uh moenih. Amih loh amamih kah laipai rhoek khaw hmu uh pawt tih a ming uh pawt dongah yah a pohuh.
Everyone who makes an engraved image is vain. The things that they delight in will not profit. Their own witnesses don’t see, nor know, that they may be disappointed.
10 Unim pathen aka picai tih a hoeikhang pawt ham mueithuk aka hloe?
Who has fashioned a deity, or molds an image that is profitable for nothing?
11 Anih hui rhoek tah boeih yak uh pawn ni ke. Amih kah kutthai rhoek te hlang boeiloeih ni. Amih te boeih coi uh thae saeh lamtah pai uh saeh. A rhih uh vetih rhenten yak uh ni.
Behold, all his fellows will be disappointed; and the workmen are mere men. Let them all be gathered together. Let them stand up. They will fear. They will be put to shame together.
12 Kutthai loh thi tubael te hmaisa-aek neh a saii. Thilung neh a hlinsai tih a thadueng ban neh a saii. A lamlum vaengah thadueng bawt tih tui a ok pawt dongah tawnba.
The blacksmith takes an ax, works in the coals, fashions it with hammers, and works it with his strong arm. He is hungry, and his strength fails; he drinks no water, and is faint.
13 Kutthai loh thing te a rhi a nueh tih thisum neh a rhuen. Suet neh a yael tih cumkai neh a hiil. Te phoeiah im ah hol hamla hlang kah a muei la, hlang kah a boeimang la a saii.
The carpenter stretches out a line. He marks it out with a pencil. He shapes it with planes. He marks it out with compasses, and shapes it like the figure of a man, with the beauty of a man, to reside in a house.
14 Te ham te lamphai khaw a saii tih yongmai neh thingnu khaw a loh. Te ham te duup kah thing caang neh rhumrhet thing khaw a phung tih khonal neh a rhoeng sak.
He cuts down cedars for himself, and takes the cypress and the oak, and strengthens for himself one among the trees of the forest. He plants a cypress tree, and the rain nourishes it.
15 Hlang kah a toih ham khaw a om pah. Amah te a loh bal tih pahoi a om. A cum bal tih buh a thong nah. Pathen la nunan a saii tih a saii mueithuk te a bawk tih a buluk thil.
Then it will be for a man to burn; and he takes some of it, and warms himself. Yes, he burns it, and bakes bread. Yes, he makes a deity, and worships it; he makes it an engraved image, and falls down to it.
16 A ngancawn te hmai dongah a hoeh, a ngancawn dongah maeh a hai tih a caak. Maehkaeh te a hah vaengah kaeng uh tih, “Ahuei, hmaipuei ka hmuh tih ka om,” a ti.
He burns part of it in the fire. With part of it, he eats meat. He roasts a roast, and is satisfied. Yes, he warms himself, and says, “Aha! I am warm. I have seen the fire.”
17 A meet te pathen la, a mueithuk la a saii. Te te a buluk, a buluk thil tih a bawk. A taengah thangthui tih, “Kai kah pathen namah loh kai n'huul lah,” a ti nah.
The rest of it he makes into a deity, even his engraved image. He bows down to it and worships, and prays to it, and says, “Deliver me; for you are my deity!”
18 A mik loh a hmuh tih a lungbuei loh a cangbam ham khaw malh a bol coeng dongah ming uh pawt tih yakming pawh.
They don’t know, neither do they consider: for he has shut their eyes, that they can’t see; and their hearts, that they can’t understand.
19 A lungbuei khaw a taengla mael pah pawh. Mingnah khueh pawt tih a lungcuei khaw om pawh. “A ngancawn te hmai dongah ka hoeh tih a alh dongah buh ka thong. Maeh ka hai tih ka caak. A coih te khaw tueilaehkoi la ka saii saeh lamtah thingkung thinglong taengah ka buluk eh?,” a ti.
No one thinks, neither is there knowledge nor understanding to say, “I have burned part of it in the fire. Yes, I have also baked bread on its coals. I have roasted meat and eaten it. Shall I make the rest of it into an abomination? Shall I bow down to a tree trunk?”
20 Hmaiphu kah aka luem rhoek loh a lungbuei omsaa tih amah a phaelh sak. A hinglu te a huul thai pawt dongah, “Ka bantang ah aka om he a honghi moenih a?” a ti tloel.
He feeds on ashes. A deceived heart has turned him aside; and he can’t deliver his soul, nor say, “Is not there a lie in my right hand?”
21 He rhoek he Jakob neh Israel loh thoelh saeh. Nang tah kai kah sal ni. Nang te kamah taengah sal la ka hlinsai coeng. Nang Israel loh kai nan hnilh voel mahpawh.
Remember these things, Jacob [Supplanter] and Israel [God prevails]; for you are my servant. I have formed you. You are my servant. Israel [God prevails], you will not be forgotten by me.
22 Na boekoek te khomai bangla, na tholh cingmai bangla ka huih sak. Nang te kan tlan coeng dongah kamah taengla ha mael laeh.
I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, your rebellious breaches of relationships, and, as a cloud, your habitual sins ·missing the marks·. Teshuvah ·Completely return· to me, for I have redeemed you.
23 BOEIPA loh a saii coeng dongah vaan rhoek te tamhoe laeh. Diklai laedil rhoek khaw yuhui uh laeh. Tlang rhoek loh duup puei tamlung neh a khuikah thing rhoek boeih te rhong puei saeh. BOEIPA loh Jakob a tlan tih Israel soah khaw kohang coeng.
Sing, you heavens, for Adonai has done it! Shout, you lower parts of the earth! Break out into singing, you mountains, O forest, all of your trees, for Adonai has redeemed Jacob [Supplanter], and will glorify himself in Israel [God prevails].
24 Nang aka tlan tih bungko khuiah nang aka hlinsai BOEIPA loh, “Kai Yahovah tah vaan aka aih uh ke boeih ka saii. Kamah bueng loh diklai tui ka nulh vaengah kai taengah aka om te unim.
Adonai, your Redeemer, and he who formed you from the womb says: “I am Adonai, who makes all things; who alone stretches out the heavens; who spreads out the earth by myself;
25 Olsai kah miknoek te aka phae tih, aka hma kah a yan te a balkhong sak. Aka cueih rhoek te a namnah dongah, amamih kah mingnah loh a pavai sak.
who frustrates the signs of the liars, and makes diviners mad; who turns wise men backward, and makes their knowledge foolish;
26 A sal kah ol a thoh tih a puencawn kah cilsuep te a thuung. Jerusalem kah aka thui te kho a sak sak saeh lamtah Judah khopuei rhoek te khoeng uh saeh. Te vaengah a imrhong te ka thoh bitni.
who confirms the word of his servant, and performs the counsel of his messengers; who says of Jerusalem [City of peace], ‘She will be inhabited;’ and of the cities of Judah [Praised], ‘They will be built,’ and ‘I will raise up its waste places;’
27 Tuidung te, “Kak laeh,” aka ti loh tuiva nang khaw kang haang sak ni.
who says to the deep, ‘Be dry,’ and ‘I will dry up your rivers;’
28 Cyrus te kamah kah boiva aka dawn ni ka ti. Ka hue ngaih boeih khaw han thuung ni. Jerusalem te khoeng saeh lamtah bawkim khaw suen saeh ka ti.
Who says of Cyrus [Sun], ‘He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure,’ even saying of Jerusalem [City of peace], ‘She will be built;’ and of the temple, ‘Your foundation will be laid.’”
